Obamacare Hazardous to America's Health

At least common thieves don't destroy an entire health care system and socialize the American economy when they commit their felonies. Too bad we can't say the same for our illustrious Democratic senators who sold out the nation.
In exchange for criminally unconstitutional favors for their respective states, they voted to pass the Senate health care bill just 38 hours after it had been made available to the public for review.
Everyone knows about Sen. Mary Landrieu's negotiating $300 million for her state in non-guaranteed Medicaid payouts. She was even cocky about her institutionalized larceny.
"But another ... holdout, Sen. Bernie Sanders," Politico reports, "took credit for $10 billion in new funding for community health centers." Millions of those earmarked greenbacks will go to his home state, Vermont, if the president signs the bill. Sanders denies it was a "sweetheart deal," but he threw his support behind a bill he had opposed vehemently just three days earlier.
Sanders and Sen. Patrick Leahy secured additional Medicaid funding for Vermont, while senators from Pennsylvania, New York and Florida achieved Medicare Advantage protections for their constituents even as benefits from this program are being cut nationwide.
And why not? The end always justifies the means for these liberals. And the end, in this case, is their long-held Utopian Marxist dream of socialized health care. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid was not only unapologetic but also defiant about these bribes. "You'll find a number of states that are treated differently than other states. That's what legislating is all about. It's compromise," said Reid.
But this wasn't compromise. It was blackmail. And the payoff was at the expense of our bankrupt heirs.
Liberal politicians rationalize judicial rewriting of the Constitution on the basis that great things are accomplished that might not otherwise be possible through legitimate democratic processes. But what we're seeing now is the logical result of this callous disregard for our government charter.
If the Constitution had been treated with respect, this legislative monstrosity passed in the dead of night with the discriminatory application of federal monies would have been invalid on its face. But these days, adhering to constitutional principles designed to separate government powers among the three branches has become arcane -- and almost a lost cause.
You have to wonder, though, when residents of our individual states who were recipients of these pernicious deals will rise up and reject this blood money flowing from the mortal wounds to the nation their senators have inflicted. After all, the bribe money their states are receiving won't do them much good if the nation further disintegrates into bankruptcy.
What's worse is that the foregoing outrages don't begin to address the disturbing provisions, such as the following, in this shameful Senate bill.
Obama brags that the Congressional Budget Office scores the bill as reducing the federal deficit over the next decade. But even if you accept this static analysis, you should be aware that according to The Heritage Foundation, the CBO bases its calculations only on the data the Senate provides. The Senate bill provides that Medicare fees for doctors would be cut by 20 percent beginning in 2011, but "nobody believes these cuts will be allowed to happen." If they don't, just this one change would result in Obamacare's adding $196 billion to the deficit in the first 10 years and $765 billion in the following one.
Obamacare would fare even worse, accountingwise, if it didn't force states to increase Medicaid obligations -- another unfunded mandate that would bankrupt states further.
Health care costs, say Heritage experts, would rise by $234 billion. They also tell us that though Obama promised that no one would be forced to change his health care plan, the CBO confirmed that 10 million Americans would be forced out of their current plans under Obamacare. And the $493 billion in Medicare cuts would force up to 20 percent of health care providers into insolvency.
Finally, Heritage informs us that "Obamacare is funded with over $400 billion in new taxes at a time of double digit unemployment."
National Center for Policy Analysis health care expert John C. Goodman says: "This bill does not curb health care expenses, but it will increase taxes and cost jobs. The end result of this bill: most Americans will wait longer for poorer quality care."
Adding insult to injury, most pro-life groups believe the bill does not ensure that federal funding would not be available for abortions.
After all the dust settles, millions will remain uninsured, which makes this entire bill a grotesque mockery of the American people.
The clock is ticking toward 2010.

American Legislators will need to add two words to their "vocabulary":
1. REVERSE - 1963 request of the Atheist O'Hare taking Prayer & Bible reading from the Public Schools thus bringing the curse of God on those institutions that has "debauched" We, the people. Hosea 4:6.
REVERSE that horrible "decision" that marked the decline of this Beloved Nation.
2. REPEAL - ALL laws contrary to the CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, ALL contrary laws need REPEALED.
With this NEW VOCABULARY, WE, the People, will once again enjoy LIBERTY.

Ruth Ann, as much as I would like to share your optimism, once this bill is passed, NOBODY will be able to reverse or repeal it. There is no historical precedent of reversing such a massive, monstrous entitlement bill. It is a train wreck of a bill and will have a tremendous momentum.
Fifty-two percent of the population voted for this man, his ilk has won, they own the country. We are their slaves and will be in perpetuity. The middle class will disappear and everyone will be poor, except the elites at the very top. We are not going to be able to stop this in any way because we no longer have representation, Congress is one big corrupt socialist body.
Next will come amnesty for illegal aliens, that will assure that liberals will be in power forever, there will be no other party or voting EVER.
Welcome to the United Socialist States of America. To put it in the blunt words of an Obama supporter, "the democrat party is now the communist party, get over it, we won the election."
Words cannot describe my outrage at what is happening to our wonderful country. I would like to tell the young people who gave Obama 66% of his win and helped destroy our health care and our country, you will be old some day. Your time of reckoning will come.

We have both extortion and bribery in the Nelson vote. After Senator landrey held out for 300 million before commiting her vote. Reid bribed the senator from Nebraska, or should I say Nelson extorted the rest of the USA tsxpsyers for 100 million, reported for his state medicaid assistance.
Thus, we will have to pick up his states tab for that and only GOD knows what else he got under the table.It is past time for term limits and return to a part time Congress!!

how can rewriting of the constitution occur if there is a scotus?
it examines the constitutionality of laws.
but rush has shown the way to reinject the ROBUST PUBLIC OPTION during the house/senate conference.
then enact reconciliation.

The liberals must be stopped. They are the domestic enemy. We can whine and complain about how corrupt they are but they still have the power and will use it. They care nothing of the Constitution and what makes this country work. We are getting closer to states rights and succession. It is time to end this. We are seeing what unchecked, rampant extremism can do. Make yourself heard and when it is your time to comply, just say NO.

Ileana, I do not advocate the passage of this "monstrosity". This wicked piece of legislation hasn't even been presented to be read, let alone be voted on. It is totally UNCONSTITUTIONAL in what we know, who knows what is in the "fine print". In fact, today, it seems that there is a provision to make it "unrepealable"!!!!!!!! Where would the "writers of such wickedness" get the boldness to make such a "provision"?????
In America, we went astray, when we shut the Lord out of our Public Educational Institutions. "The beginning of wisdom is the fear of God." We were declared by an 1892 Supreme Court decision "to be a Christian Nation." In reading that decision, it proves without God, we will not prosper.
Most of us have much to say. Much of the "input" is very good, full of Patriotism and Love of this Beloved Land but without God, our works will lack the "spirit of 1776" which was the Spirit of God.
God is full of mercy, He will hear our prayers, He will save our Beloved land, but atheism and humanism have "flooded" our Country and we must seek Divine forgiveness, turn from our wicked ways, and seek His Divine pardon. He has promised to heal our Beloved land, We must put our hands to work and our hearts to God.
I like your posts. You have much insight. Look forward to reading many more of your good "writings".

Thru all of this I am astounded that not one state senator or representative has come forward with a bill to have his or her state secede from the union. What union, its gone, we are now in a dictatorship under the democratic party!! This shameless bunch of socialists who took the democratic party from the party of the working man to the party of deadbeats in a few short years. Then theres OBUMA, ( Yes he's a bum ) in my eyes. He wouldn't make the pimple on a real presidents rear end!

The Bill can't be read because it doesn't exist yet, it's a "Vapor bill". They'll fill in the blanks later. We may not know for years everything that is involved in this bill. Why do the Progressives hate this country?

An illegal act does not hold the force of law, but the force of law does not matter, if the illegal act is enforced by tyrannical rule, the threat of brute force. Totalitarian tyranny will be the rule our lives if we lie down and do nothing.
An entire generation gave their lives, blood and fortunes for our liberty. Do we now allow a gangster government to foreclose on our heritage of freedom?
It has been shown that our protests against unconstitutional government has been viewed with contempt by those we have entrusted with our rights and liberty. Do we not do nothing but present more rhetoric or do we exercise a protection that the founders provided to us for this very day? I for one want to die of old age, but should a life of tyrannical governmental slavery be an acceptable alternative?

Last year, Congress provided a measure of recourse for some victims of overzealous federal prosecutions.
Legislation introduced by U.S. Rep. Henry Hyde, R-Ill., chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, allows defendants to recover reasonable defense costs if they can show a federal case was "vexatious, frivolous or in bad faith."

Democrats will be annihilated at the polls in November 2010. Obama will be rejected in 2012. Republicans can then pass real health care reform, based on market principles, reducing the cost of medicine by 40%. We can grow the economy at 5% per year, enough to make all workers millionaires by retirement, if we follow free market principles. When the US elects a socialist Congress and president, we see how crazy, corrupt and incompetent they really are. Obama is making Jimmy Carter look good.

I believe the time for the talking to end is quickly coming to close. After the talking stops, the revolution begins. This administration is the most reckless and socialist group of idiots this country has every seen. The blatant lies they tell us and the ramshackle and ramrodded bill/laws they sell us is enough for any one man to take. But I will tell you what I will take....I will take back this country and place it back on the road of the Constitution, liberty, freedom, and security. Rise up my brothers and sisters and tell these public SERVANTS we have had enough and it is time for them to go home, go away, or just go anywhere that is far from Washington D.C.
