Black Murders Eight Whites; Media Blames Whites

· Tuesday, August 10, 2010

The title of this column seems unbelievable, but it is in fact what happened in America this past week. And almost no one has noticed.

After 50 years of being inundated with stories of white racism, and being taught in college that in this white-dominated society, only a white can be a racist, the American public has been properly brainwashed into accepting the otherwise incredible: A black man murdered eight white people at his place of work because they were white, and the media story is about the murderer's alleged experiences of racism.

Here's the Associated Press Report from Aug. 7, four days after the murders. It was reprinted in The Washington Post and throughout America:

"To those closest to him, Omar Thornton was caring, quiet and soft-spoken ... But underneath, Thornton seethed with a sense of racial injustice for years that culminated in a shooting rampage Tuesday in which the Connecticut man killed eight and wounded two others at his job at Hartford Distributors in Manchester before killing himself.

"'I know what pushed him over the edge was all the racial stuff that was happening at work,' said his girlfriend, Kristi Hannah.

"'He always felt like he was being discriminated (against) because he was black,' said Jessica Anne Brocuglio, his former girlfriend. 'Basically they wouldn't give him pay raises. He never felt like they accepted him as a hard working person.'

"'Thornton changed jobs a few times because he was not getting raises, Brocuglio said."

The New York Times Aug. 3 headline read: "Troubles Preceded Connecticut Workplace Killing," and in the second paragraph, the Times reported:

"He might also have had cause to be angry: he had complained to his girlfriend of being racially harassed at work, the woman's mother said, and lamented that his grievances had gone unaddressed."

On Aug. 7, 2010, The Washington Post headline read, "Beer warehouse shooter long complained of racism."

Of course, Thornton was fired for stealing beer, and there was video proof of him doing so. But this fact -- the one indisputable and most pertinent pre-murder fact -- got lost within the larger context of Thornton's claims of being a victim of whites.

Those preoccupied with Thornton's charges of workplace racism might wish to reflect on this: Racist and other bigotry-based murderers always blame their victims. Medieval Christians who murdered Jews blamed the Jews for poisoning wells, baking Christian children's blood in their matzo or some other terrible crime. Whites who lynched blacks blamed those blacks for rape or some other crime. Nothing is new about the Thornton racist murders except that the society in which in it occurred concentrated on the racist's excuses rather than on his murders.

Just as leading liberals would not ascribe Islamist motives -- until there was no possibility of denying them -- to recent Muslim attacks on Americans, the liberal media, i.e., almost all news media in America, does not brand these Connecticut murders for what they are: racist. That is why Thornton told the 9-1-1 operator, "I wish I could have gotten more of the people (i.e., whites)."

We are repeatedly told by liberal whites and blacks that America needs an honest dialogue on race. Needless to say, they don't mean it because the moment a white or black says anything critical of black behavior, he is labeled racist or Uncle Tom. So most non-liberal whites and blacks just keep quiet.

One result is this morally upside-down reporting of the murders in Connecticut.

Another example is the liberal narrative on blacks in prison -- "there are more black men in prison than in college." Every decent American regards this fact as a major tragedy. But most Americans believe that the fault lies primarily with the black criminals, not with a racist society. Most Americans believe that blacks who mug, rape, rob or murder commit those crimes for the same reason whites do -- they lack a sufficiently strong moral conscience.

But the dominant liberal narrative is that while white criminals are criminals, black criminals are largely victims.

Another example was the liberal narrative of the 1992 "Rodney King" riots in Los Angeles. It was perfectly expressed by the major newspaper of that city, the Los Angeles Times. During the riots, in which innocent Koreans, whites and others were beaten, maimed and killed, and innocent businesses burned to the ground, the daily special section on the riots in the Los Angeles Times was titled "Understanding the Rage." When blacks riot, whites are the reason. When a black murders eight whites in Connecticut, whites are the reason.

One terrible consequence of this liberal attitude toward black violent crime is that too many blacks come to believe that less is expected of them morally than from whites. And the truth is that most Americans on the left do expect less from blacks.

But saying any of this gets us nowhere because it is simply labeled racism. If you don't believe me, check leftist reactions to this column on the Internet.

Most liberal leaders want an honest dialogue about race as much as they want to honestly describe the murders in Connecticut.

Mr. Prager, you have stated the truth! There seems to be no such thing as black responsibility. If a black man commits crimes, it's because his ancestors were slaves. Bull! That happened many years ago and the same race that held slaves, freed this country from slavery with its blood. Slavery, after all, did not originate in America, nor are whites the only race who held slaves. Look at the history of Africa, if you can still find true history. I admit I'm suspicious by nature, but with all the public agencies and venues available, isn't it suspicious that he never mentioned racism to anyone but his girlfriend and close family? However, no matter how insidious racism is, it doesn' justify the viciousness of his act. The media, of course is lacking in its responsibility. Again! It seems the only people they heard from are the girfriend and family members, who have an interest in this. How about talking with other employees, if he left any survivors. Softspoken? Caring? He is a vicious, cold-blooded murderer who killed unarmed people!

There IS an appropriate case for white racism to be found in this and other stories like it.

While there remains undeniable racism, in some conservative circles, it has been reduced to an impotent remnant of something that was once, not so long ago, virulent and rampant. It could not be said 50 years ago that nothing of race stands in the way to success of any determined man or woman in America. It can be said today.

The racism that continues, that is pernicious and devastating, to the black community in particular, is the manipulative racism of perpetual grievance, foisted upon it be Liberal White Racists.

Why scowl and call them N___s any more? They just get angry and run away. Let's smile and call them Victim's and get their votes. That way we can screw 'em and control 'em all at once!

The incessant drum beat of victim-hood will drive some mad, will serve to divide and conquer.

A thing of evil beauty.

The "murderer" was caught being a thief. The murderer held several jobs. The "murderer" had a "white" girl friend. The "murderer" killed his former "white" co-workers. Complaining of racial harassment. In this day and age if harassment were mentioned to any superior it would have been addressed. The problems here were with the "murderer". We mustn't gloss over the fact and continue to place blame where it does not belong. This article attempts to do that. Thanks.

Two things. First, the left are the true racists, being as they truly believe that Americans of African descent are incapable of helping themselves. This is much the same attitude held by plantation owners in the years before and immediatley following the Civil War. "We must keep blacks as slaves, because they are helpless." Hence, welfare programs that lean heavily toward the black side of the population. Second, there needs to be more of an outcry from the black community against black criminals. Slavery is over and done with. It is time, and past time, to stand on your own two feet and take responsibility for yourselves.

Maybe in time blacks will understand that they are still slaves down on the plantation. Only now, the plantation owners are white liberal politicians, academics, labor bosses and ACORN leaders.

According to a very recent news story, Harvard will accept a poor black male with a SAT of 1100, but a poor white male would have to have a SAT of 1450. How is that going to be good for Harvard's reputation, or for those black male students who actually graduate, when, down the road, people will see a Harvard diploma but won't see what one would expect from a Harvard graduate?

Shawn in NC

Here in NC, there occurred the riots in Wilmington, NC. Successful black businesses and those running them were burned, murdered, broken. Who committed this atrocity? Democrats. Who do most black people in this state vote for? Democrats? Why? The candy (entitlements) thrown to them as they Dems pass by (campaign). I visited a mostly black school recently ... looked like a prison. Visited a mostly white school ... looked shiny, new, and well-equipped. The racism is here, it's just not what the media is portraying.

So while the real racists (liberal Dems) are embraced by black people, people like me are hated by them. I was raised NOT to be racist, I have avoided many fights with black people who picked the fight merely because I was white, I was told in college (by the financial aid representatives, even the black ones) that financial aid would be much easier and more accessible were I a 'different race'. I recently had a black state trooper decide I was at fault in an accident despite the other person (black) spitting, cursing, yelling, not answering questions of the patrolman, had marks on his car indicating otherwise (patrolman never examined the cars), and physically trying to intimidate me to the point I would not exit my vehicle. All while I said 'sir', stayed calm, gave my story (which could have been enhanced to my advantage very well, save that I told the truth instead), made the call to the police, waited my turn, and avoided a physical fight (I was advised by the patrolman to allow 'others with cooler heads prevail'). I have observed every season of my son playing football excel beyond his peers, only to be shunned in favor of the (you guessed it!) BLACK coaches' sons, cousins, and nephews (I have taught my son to try to excel anyway and just keep trying every year). When I once tried to mention he broke a promise to my son to try a certain position, the coach said I 'looked at him wrong and wasn't man enough to admit it' and tried to pick a physical fight. What did the black leadership of the city's Parks and Rec do? Nothing...absolutely nothing.

I have many examples, as others do, to be certain. When does become clear that there is a culture of violent, one-sided racism being promoted within our black citizens? How many times do my black friends and acquaintances have to deal with being 'Uncle Tom' merely because they befriend me, a white person? I go to a multi-racial (mostly mixed race marriages) church. Does this qualify as racist?

I would like for any black person who has personally been enslaved or even discriminated against by my family, going back at least 100 years, to illuminate me about my family's transgresssions against them or their family. I think they will find sacrifice to the point of death to eliminate freedom, as well as some close friendships.

But, alas, today is today for our black culture and they can only see the candy being thrown from the liberal floats that go by in the parade. Whose responsibility was it to teach them to make their own food and avoid the candy? Not mine, I can only be daddy to my three children and continue to teach them to be accepting and forgiving.

I often wonder by BO is called the first black president? Wasn't he raised by his white mother, with his black father pretty much out of the picture? Wouldn't this make him more white than black? I guess he is merely our darkest-skinned white president.

BTW, why are we so obsessed with indicating the color of our President's skin? Isn't he above all that and responsible for all races in this country? I guess he's just another 'victim' and now gets to get back at all the evil white people who promote so much evil in the world.

Your story nails the real problem: the media. The fact that they'd rather spin a story to cycle people over non-issues than communicate facts and disseminate useful information, proves that those doing so have no place in a free society. May they inhabit the lowest and hottest place in the hell they wish to create.

While growing up in the early 1970s, I too was labeled Uncle Tom and Oriole(cookie). WHY??? Because I was articulate and well spoken! So what did I do? I spoke the language of the street around my "friends" and "properly" at home. Little did I realized how many of us played that "game". But the stakes of the game have gone up. The infant morality rate in predominately black Macon, GA. is about 17%! That's the level of a third world nation. Most of the crime in the black community is black-on-black...and yet the liberal/elitist slave masters continue to provide fertile ground for the continued enslavement and destruction of the black community.

I remember praying to God as a little girl for the end of the fighting. Today, we seem further from any peace between the races. My parents from Italy never saw a Black person until they came here. They told me as a little girl that we are to be polite and loving to all God's Children regardless of the color of their skin or ability. Today as an adult I want folks to become a sucess like I became a sucess. Work for 30 years and continue to do so. No Bull....my two cents. Our life here is temporary, this is part of the trial and tribulation. How can we make this better? Hard to say....

I believe that Mr. Thorton was also a member of the teamster's union, or so I read at another site. Why did he not take his complaints to his union? It is my understanding that they take any report of racism quite seriously.

Did you notice? The perp always had an excuse for changing his job. Seems to me he wasn't too reliable as an employee so he was either canned or he quit before he COULD get canned. Then he used the excuse of the work place bing racist.

Seems to me, the racist story was a good cover for his lack of ability to keep a job. At least his family bought it.

To GA Black Conservative -

I am white and grew up in the south. Sadly, both of my parents were bigots but, like many of their generation, they were a product of their times. I have worked hard to overcome the way I was raised and almost always can now be successfully "color-blind". I have engaged in racial unity groups at church and have outstanding openly communicative relationships with many of my black friends.

Yes, I said "black" - just as you said "black". I do have two honest questions for you:

1. Would you rather be referred to as "black" or "African-American"?

2. I would appreciate your honest thoughts to an earlier post: "Why scowl and call them N___s any more? They just get angry and run away. Let's smile and call them Victim's and get their votes. That way we can screw 'em and control 'em all at once!"

I don't think this has ever been made as clear to me as this comment was today.

I, too, believe that it is unbearable to watch what is happening in the inner cities of our Republic; the despicable conditions that many blacks are born into and are forced to grow up in. Like myself, many are a product of their own environment - they don't know any better and are simply trying to survive. I had to face a lot of challenges in order to at least acknowledge that the way I was raised was wrong - but certainly this pales (no pun intended!) in comparison to what inner city blacks face. My eyes were opened even further when I really got to know and gained the mutual trust of several of my black friends - the "just beneath the surface" sort of racism that continues today in America, whether it is applying for a car loan or refinancing a mortgage for example. How my black friends were denied at bank after bank - even with a job and a credit rating similar to or better than my own!

How can we all join arms and confront the discrimination that exists in both the Democrat and Republican parties today? How can we start to turn this thing around?

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr had many outstanding quotes. Two of my favorites:

"Discrimination is a hellhound that gnaws at Negroes in every waking moment of their lives to remind them that the lie of their inferiority is accepted as truth in the society dominating them."

and, of course:

"I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character."

May God bless us all in this fight!

I would like to think I'm not a racist but, when I get blamed for a shooting by a black man I my neck really begins to get red.

Let's call it out. He (the murderer) "couldn't get any pay raises" because he probably wasn't much of a worker in the first place.

People, places and things usually aren't the cause of most peoples problems, it's the people themselves!

Then the damn fool went and stole beer from his employer.

Simply put, he was a dumb-ass black man that thought the world owed him something.

The Left makes a lot of noise about being the champions of minorities, the poor, women, gays and other groups. But the facts belie those claims.

Fact: the Left holds as an article of faith that when 70% of prisoners in America's jails are black, that's PROOF that our justice system is racist. Yet, they not only ignore the fact that 70% of the abortions in America are performed on black babies, they actively promote the activity and do everything they can to build abortion mills in black neighborhoods.

Fact: the Left claims to champion the rights of women, and make that a centerpiece of their annual platform, but whenever a popular Leftist politician or celebrity rapes or abuses a woman, they typically side with the man and attack the woman. They circled the wagons for Bill Clinton and viciously attacked Monica's weight, clothes, hair, makeup, anything they could find to discredit her. They are still defending Roman Polanski, even going so far as to claim his actions weren't "rape-rape." There are endless examples.

Fact: the Left talks a good story on championing gay rights, but whenever a non-Liberal is discovered to be gay, he or she is dragged summarily out of the closet, humiliated and called names. He's a "deviant" and worse. Suddenly, it's not cool or hip to be gay; suddenly, when there's blood in the water, they forget about gay rights and it's just another means to attack the opposition. When Leftist celebrities lose their temper and want to call someone the worst thing they can imagine, invariably the first club out of the bag is "f-gg-t," as was the case when Perez Hilton's runaway mouth got him into trouble last year.

Fact: the assumption by the Left that blacks are somehow justified through the magic of "ghetto rage," in killing their white oppressors might play well in certain circles (JournoList perhaps?) but normal people understand what the Left is really saying. "Blacks can't be expected to live up to the same standards as everyone else because deep down we believe they are inferior. They need our help just to get by. They need special rules to get into college because they can't compete on their own. They can't control themselves, so they riot and shoot up the place. It's no more than should be expected from 'those people.'" The Left has just learned to spew their racist garbage more politely and with greater cunning. The results are the same.

The Left is putting over the second greatest con job in the history of Man, the myth that they're the friends of every minority when in fact their every policy leads to greater and greater oppression. Of course, the very greatest con in the history of Man is the lie that America is not the greatest force for good in the world -- and that's a Leftist fiction as well. They have to lie. If they told the truth, they couldn't BE Leftists.

WHEN will people recognize that race is IRRELEVANT in these diatribes??? THE ISSUE is our POLITICS. Liberals believe that government is their god and they will say and do anything - including playing the racial issues at every turn - to get everyone to either worship government or be trampled by it. They would have all of us - in every aspect of our lives - be ruled over by a group of elites; our so-called betters. If that isn't SLAVERY, we never understood the concept.

The media's job is to sell papers (i.e. advertising). They don't care if they incite race riots or put our troops at risk to do so.

As always, we have the power to deal with this - DON'T BUY THE PAPER OR WATCH THE NEWS of the offending entity. Send an angry letter and follow through with your threat to cease viewing/reading (i.e.buying) and encourage others likewise.

This is a "consumer driven" economy. We being the consumers have so very much power, if only we would band together to use it. It is not an issue of liberal or conservative or black or white. It is about money and as we all know, money makes the world go 'round. This is the true "green" movement and it has remained unchanged for millenia.

We need to flex our muscle collectively and until we do, NOTHING will change.

So next Sunday, take a pledge to not spend any money the entire day. Make it a family day and stay home. Don't buy any groceries or gas or ice cream sundaes or lattes for just one day.

Imagine if just half of our entire nation did this for one day? The mainstream media would try to ignore it at first (like they did with the tea parties) but I think we could get their attention after several Sundays of no tax collection and no commerce. Be sure to contact your gov't reps/media outlets and let them know you are responding in this manner because they have failed to listen to their constituency/audience!

You get what you pay for. You get the government you elect.

God Bless America. Restore the Constitution.

Sue Nami is correct in that we should speak with our feet and dollars. Whenever I am offered a newspaper, I politely refuse, but add the reason. The reason is that our local newspaper is a very biased, left-leaning, hateful piece of work. I say it in the nicest way, hoping that it might get the attention of somebody at the News & Record. Alas, they just cannot figure out why their subscriptions are disappearing.

I hate racism and I have rough time stomaching Democrats, which is a tough combo since 80% of blacks are Dems. When I watch the news I feel like I'm watching some home video of a 16 yr old Pro-"Wrestler" wannabe jumping head first off a gargage roof onto a table. All you can do is shake your head and say, "What an idiot!" Truth is, I'm tremendously ticked off at the blacks who've been snookered and endlessly enraged at the white Liberals who are screwing the black community while pretending to be do-gooders.

What part of Planned Parenthood's assisted murder of 20 million+ black babies don't you get, Black folk? What part of them setting up shop favoring locations in your community about 3-1 confuses you? What part of the result of laws providing welfare only to fatherless families is unclear. Before those laws that the white libs blessed you with over 80% of black children had two parents. Now 40% do. Why are you just sitting there and taking that? Why are you getting herded down to the voting booth by a bunch of tough talking black guys who take all their cues from a bunch white racist Liberals?

And you White people who like to pretend that you are so down with civil rights and Social Justice....why are you enabling this racist physical and cultural genocide?

May you Racist Whites fall on your face and beg God's forgiveness or may you burn in Hell. May you Blacks open your eyes and see, that the Demo-Massa-man ain't quite as kind as he pretends to be.

I read yur Aug. 16 comments in The PAtriot Post and thought you might be interested in an poen letter written to our president.

AN OPEN LETTER TO OUR BELOVED PRESIDENT

Barack Obama

Dear President Obama:

Although, in the past, I may have been slightly critical of some of your decisions, this mornings

reading of my Emails, and some retrospection on my part, made me realize that you and your hand-chosen administration are truly owed some great amount of heartfelt thanks.

First of all, let me say that as a white American I have felt, as I'm sure some of my compatriots

will admit, no small amount of guilt in expressing bad feelings and opinions about elected members of the African-American community. We all have realized what those folks have gone through to achieve their positions in a world where their color has caused them hardships.

However, Mr. President, your hop-scotching to the defense of a loud, uncooperative, black university professor over the correct actions of a white police officer, coupled with your pointed silence of the obviating of charges against two black men who were obviously guilty of interfering with voters by your hand-appointed black Attorney General, Eric Holder, has helped us in alleviating some of those feelings.

Add to these circumstances the actions of your Democrat majority House of Representatives in calling for the investigation of two long standing, outspoken, black members who are now charged with ethical, and possibly criminal violations, in order to attempt to save some amount of face in this, an election year, has almost totally removed any small feeling of guilt felt by a Caucasian citizen in criticizing a black person, and especially an elected official, of wrong doing.

Therefore, Mr. President, I feel the need to thank you for ever relieving us the fear of being branded as racists for the honest criticism of anyone of African-American heritage. The often used and abused term of racist when used to describe a white member of our society is now considered moot by virtue of your repeated actions pointing out that the term fits all races and not just whites.

We all, and I mean all of us, with the exception of those who are so egotistical as to escape all self criticism, know that life without some manner of guilt is all but impossible. So myself, and I'm sure, an astounding number of fellow formerly guilt-ridden souls, thank you deeply for making our lives more pleasant and allowing us to forgive ourselves for actions that, in the past,

may have brought the nagging feeling of guilt.

Thank you again !

Everyone talks about Martin Luther King's speech -=- quoting his comment that he wanted "people to be judged by the content of their character not the color of their skin." Based on that statement, he would not be in favor of affirmative action, since that supports quotas and looks at numbers rather than qualifications, intelligence, etc.
