Obama the Alien

· Thursday, October 14, 2010

Believe it or not, with jobs falling for four consecutive months and unemployment stubbornly high near 10 percent, President Obama is out on the campaign trail bashing businesses and promoting class warfare. Huh? Oh my gosh is he off message.

He's slamming the Chamber of Commerce for allegedly using foreign money in campaign ads, even though there's not one shred of evidence of this. Huh (again)? Is the Chamber really a big election-year issue? Is it causing high unemployment?

Of course, Obama never mentions the unions, including the SEIU and AFL-CIO, and all their foreign money from their big international affiliates. Instead, he extends his own cast of villains, attacking special interests, Wall Street banks, corporations, the oil industry, the insurance industry, credit-card companies, AIG and ExxonMobil. ExxonMobil? What did it do? Oh, they're an oil company.

Phew Kind of anti-business, wouldn't you say?

Obama then blasts millionaires and billionaires, waging war on capital and investors, too. Next he talks about getting young people, African-Americans, and union members to the polls. Even more division. Even more class warfare.

All this, of course, from the "post-partisan" president who was going to bring us all together for change.

But what's truly incredible about Obama's pre-election performance is how it totally misses the mark on the issues that really matter, like high unemployment, low growth, big-government spending, Obamacare and tax hikes. That's the stuff people are really talking about.

It's as though Obama is from another planet, completely disconnected from the political reality as we march toward Nov. 2.

A series of investor-related polls shows how totally detached the president is from the nearly 100 million folks who directly or indirectly own stocks.

A survey conducted by Citigroup Global Markets of 100 mutual-fund, hedge-fund and pension-fund managers finds that institutional investors fear a government policy mistake far more than inflation, terrorism, a housing double-dip, poor earnings or any other potential risk to the economy. (Hat tip to CNBC producer John Melloy.)

One-third of the survey's participants list government policy missteps as their biggest worry, ahead of the more than 15 percent who cite protectionism.

But these investors believe the chances of a big policy error will decrease if Republicans take back the House of Representatives in November.

In another poll conducted by Reuters, 75 percent of respondents believe the employment situation is the most important issue for Wall Street, followed by 41 percent who point to consumer confidence. Fleshing out the survey, nearly two-thirds of respondents say extending the George W. Bush era tax cuts should be a high priority; just over a third say the budget deficit is the main concern; more than two-fifths say interest rates will start to rise and the dollar will weaken more if the deficit is not addressed; more than a quarter want Obamacare repealed; and only one-fifth say additional action by the Fed is crucial.

Then there's a new poll from Investor's Business Daily. It shows 56 percent of respondents saying they want tax cuts extended even for households with more than $250,000 in income. Only 39 percent in the poll want the rich to pay more, while support for making tax cuts for the rich permanent hit 63 percent for both Republicans and independents. By solid majorities, that includes taxes on capital gains, dividends and estates, all to be frozen at current rates.

These polls reveal how utterly alien Obama is to the investor class. And it's worth noting that investors are among the most likely voters to turn out for elections.

But the absolute key point here is that while Obama is bashing businesses, rich people and all the rest, and while he continues to wage class warfare, he is talking about issues that are not on anyone's mind. It's the economy, stupid, and the low-spending, low-taxing and minimal-regulating policies that would set the stage for a stronger economy, lower unemployment and more confidence.

It's as though the president is stuck in a 1930s time warp. His policies have failed to rejuvenate economic growth. But he will not address this. That's his political failing. And that's why he is going to suffer a huge shellacking on Nov. 2.

MARINE

Be careful of what you wish for. If the $Rinos win in Nov. it will open the door for a lame-duck "ram through everything" situation. It will set Obama up for a good 2012 run. The problem with people is they cannot stay on track--if they vote out Pelosi and Reid--they will think thats the end of it. Come 2012 they will have forgotten what they did and not continue the fight to get control back to the people.

Ol'Joe

Although Mr. Kudlow is correct about the present business and employment situation, he hesitates to analyze that the POTUS does not want to improve the economy. Every word and deed since election has been to dismantle the US economy--run it into abysmal debt and put more control into the hands of a powerful central government which is a sure way to ineptly run it into the ground. His brand of Marxism and traditional capitalism cannot mix.

You are spot on Ol Joe. People by and large don't give Obama enough credit, they think he is a victim of the times, of Bush, Republicans et al. Quite the contrary as he has plainly stated on numerous occasions, this economy is exactly what he set out to accomplish. Job well done Mr. Pres.

The economy is simply a tactic to distract us from the looming Constitutional crisis. According to Obama relatives, Barak was not born in the United States. Is this country ready to revolk every law he signed?

To echo some of the above comments. The Obama administration may look stupid only due to the fact it's hard to keep ALL the lies in proper context with a singular thread. As they are perceived to bumble around every domestic and international policy, please note they are on task with the Obama/Soros agenda.

Democrats like big government more than they like a healthy economy. Voters have an easy, obvious choice to make.

I must first acknowledge what Marine says, as he brings up a concern of mine as well regarding the short term memory of the electorate.

It will be the task of Constitutional conservatives, the various Tea Parties, and conservative media such as the Patriot Post to continue to educate and inform Americans following the upcoming election, as well as hold those elected to office accountable.

It will take several election cycles to wrest control back from the far left radicals now entrenched in every part of the massive federal bureaucracy. More gains must be made to root out those liberals left in power as well as ejecting whatever various Rinos that remain. Only then can the size and scope of the national government be truly addressed, power rightfully restored to the states, whole departments and duplicative agencies eliminated, while maintaining the great military strength that keeps a dangerous world at bay.

Educative programs and curriculum's must be developed in order to further educate citizens, old and new, about the Republic form of government laid out within the Constitution, as well as the dangers of high public debt, deficit spending and the perils of socialism.

The true task begins immediately November 3rd.

Lawrence Kudlow is one of the establishment conservatives (i.e., those who, opposite to uncompromising grassroots conservatives, make deals with the Left) that dined and wined Obama at the home of George Will on circa January 15, 2009, to then come out from the akelarre (i.e., satanic mass) cackling, bleating and braying "give him time, give him time". Ha, give Obama time...to wreck America!...the dream of every socialist, Marxist and, more so, every Marxist-Leninist, be either Bolshevik or "Western Marxist", the later genre being Obama's. Will be ever hear any mea culpa from Kudlow and the rest in the Oabama akelarre of January, 2009, that is, William Kristol, David Brooks, Paul Gigot, Margaret Noonan, Charles Krauthammer and Michael Barone?
