Barack Obama proposed his $3.8 trillion "budget" (in the loosest sense of the word) last Monday. What do you think?

The "Old Timers" used to say "if we don't have it, we don't spend it." We are "broke" and what is this "spending" that isn't even "understandable"????!!!!
The Federal Government doesn't have this money. This is a "bogus democracy". The citizens of the United States can not be held accountable for this "Ridiculous Bonanza" that is the "figment of imagination."
Whoever signs these "Ridiculous Bonanzas" should have to, personally, be responsible for the "money" that is pledged. Legislators, you and your estates need to be held "in hock" for the "irresponsible, reckless spending" that you have have signed. You are "OUT OF BOUNDS" and the legislation is UNCONSTITUTIONAL.
I as a responsible citizen who has always paid my bills, by the Grace of God, want nothing to do with your "SPENDING SPREE".

I too have to stop spending when the money runs out. This "wishful" spending is just WRONG,
Representatives are just that! They are sent to Washington to look after OUR interests. If a program is too expensive then it is left out, not funded with imaginary money. The throw the bums out movement is alive because our "representatives" pay attention to the cacus rather than the people they represent. We are broke! When a family is broke it cuts back to the basic essentials and everything else is not funded. Wake up Congress the people are not amused.The universal health care idea though worthy is too expensive! Do not even consider passing it! Welfare needs a complete overhaul! it is too expensive and badly managed. Maybe welfare would be better managed by nonprofit organizations and/or Churches. Get out of the Education business the Constitution gives that responsibility to the states. And the list goes on. The point is tax and spend does nothing for US.

Has anyone ever put forth a budget based on spending and tax bills that have yet to be passed?

I think Bush was an honest man, but fooled on budgetary questions, by influences that were dark, but a step or two back in the shadows.
At this point the evil is standing there center stage. The point of this profligacy cannot be meant to uplift the downtrodden. Its destructiveness is too immediately obvious and whatever "gains" they might be see, their losses will wildly excede, in this purposeful tanking of our economy. We are being sold and no good is intended.

All the theoretical definitions of Economics are no longer viable based on the reality of our ill-functioning government and the abuse of power that it perpetrates and permeates from both sides.
I know of no Economics textbook that bears resemblance to the budgetary, discretionary or non-discretionary spending, national debt issues, fiscal or monetary policies of our current government. They were all thrown out with the ill-fated decision by President Bush to install socialism in order to "save" the free market, and exacerbated by the current misfits who are running the country into the ground. As they do so, our collective wealth diminishes or disappears.

"BUDGET", This is NOT a budget, this is a "wish" list just like Health care, stimulus and "job" bill.I have written to my Representative 5 times and my Senator twice. Yes, they have responded, but they do not understand "what part of NO don't you understand" !!!

There are many ways to describe this so-called budget, none of them positive. A few of the milder words I can think of are:
irresponsible;
contemptuous of those who have to pay for it;
dishonest, for there is no realistic plan to ever repay the debt;
and illegal, for 70+% of the spending is outside Constitutional authority.

does sarah palin actually believe the "patriot act" will "save the constitution" AND endless mideast wars with resultant collateral damage(building resentment) will "balance the budget?"
