'Only 36,000 Lost Their Jobs Today'
Friday, March 5, 2010
Good news everyone. "Only 36,000 people lost their jobs today, which is really good." So says Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. Apparently this is Democrats new version of "morning in America."
Isn't it time voters sent this joker back to Searchlight, Nevada?

Who finds this comment acceptable? None of these bozos have a clue. This mess that we're in hasn't been created since Obama came to town. Granted it's gotten exponetially worse. This mess has been decades in the making. Which is the average tenure of most of our government. FIRE THEM ALL IN NOVEMBER! It's our only hope.

What about all the discouraged workers who are no longer counted? The unemployment rate is closer to 17%! What a bunch of frauds, liars, and manipulators!

Well, we don't want poor Harry to get fired. He was out there warning us that unemployed men are wife beaters! We wouldn't want poor Mrs Reid to end up in a shelter. She already knows that she has until November to find a safe place to stay...

I would have agreed with wicked Harry if the number would have been all employees of Washington, DC:
100 Senators
435 House Representatives
Office of President
OSHA, IRS, EPA, Homeland Security, HEW, etc.
and all non-essential personnel as did not show up for work when they had the "blizzards". I think all of Washington, stayed home. HOORAY!!!!!!
O, think of it. Being delivered from the nefarious ways of Compromisers.
No back-room deals, arm-twisting sessions, 7-hour summits, wheeling and dealing mischief, violations of the Constitution that are proposed day-in and day-out up there.
If all of Washington, DC was "scaled back to the Foundations - Constitution, Declaration of Independence, Ten Commandments of Almighty God"
Glorious Freedom, no more in Chains of enslavement would we repine.
LIMITED GOVERNMENT AS ENVISIONED BY THE FOUNDERS.

Surely no one thinks this was good news? Surely Reid and his commiecrats don't think that way. On second thought, it may be good news to them since they emote, not think. As far as getting rid of the people in Washington, I know of no group of 535 people in America as well educated, as well compensated, with great benefits, and a great retirement program (they are so wealthy they don't even have to get Obamacare should it pass) with a higher crime rate than the congress of the United States. I say vote them ALL out for 3 congressional cycles which will get rid of every philandering, drunken, whoring, thieving, extorting, bribing one of them and send a message that the people of this country are taking it back.

Ruth Ann, you hit the nail squarely on the head!!! If we are to survive as the greatest nation on earth, we have to TAKE OUR NATION BACK!!! How do we begin?? First, by voting ALL 435 members of Congress & 100 Senators OUT, & start over!! Second if they don't listen to their EMPLOYERS(you & me), & do our bidding, vote them out next term!! Third, & last, throw OBAMA out on the streets in 2012, if not BEFORE!!!

Yeah, Harry, it was really good news when my wife came home Monday and said she had been cut back 60% of her job hours, and additionally the pay she would receive was cut by 20%. Fortunately, this austere plan starts in August, not tomorrow. It is a really great economy where the Obama administration is creating so many job opportunities. Well, the Damnocrats say now that virtually every law being touted by them is a "jobs" bill. What a crock. What a lie. They need to start smoking better quality hallucinogens.

He came back later and explained this was "as opposed to 68,000 jobs lost."

Not that I care either way, I don't like the guy, but he DID say that he meant it could be worse.

TeddyP, it doesn't matter that he came back and "explained" what he meant. It doesn't matter what the number was compared to. The point is that he is a stupid, senile, old fool. He doesn't care about who or how many people lost their jobs. All he cares about is power and political victory. He wants to blame the Republicans for the trouble he is having passing "healthcare reform". It's THE PEOPLE who don't want this trainwreck legislation passed.
