Durbin Calls Obama a Liar
Thursday, March 11, 2010
On Monday, Barack Obama was again stumping for his health care takeover and declared, "Our cost-cutting measures mirror most of the proposals in the current Senate bill which reduces most people's premiums."
Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL) disagreed, albeit indirectly. On the Senate floor, Durbin said, "Anyone who would stand before you and say, 'Well, if you pass health care reform next year's health care premiums are going down,' I don't think is telling the truth."
Ouch.

ILEANA
So, in the Land of Oz, telling a lie is now called euphemistically "disingenuous," as if calling someone a liar is too hurtful. A liar has to be called a liar and made to suffer the consequences of his/her lies, otherwise too many people are going to be hurt if we all turn a blind eye and a deaf ear to all this constant, daily barage of extreme lies. Speak up and tell the truth! Confrontation is not pleasant, but it is a must.
How many more times honest people are going to stand for all the lies being told to them "ad nauseam?" Is this what we want to teach our children, that it is o.k. to lie, cheat, and steal, since powerful people do it all the time?

I agree with Sen. Durbin and I think most Americans do too.

I think Senator Durbin was misquoted. Surely he would never have crossed the line and rejected what the president had stated as gospel.

Apparently Senator Durbin's words are merely election year posturing Illinois style.
He and Obama are still owned by the machine.
