Conservatives, Unlike Liberals, Keep Mall Clean After Rally
Monday, August 30, 2010
Compare and contrast. The National Mall after Barack Obama's inauguration:
The National Mall after Saturday's "Restoring Honor" Rally hosted by conservative TV pundit Glenn Beck:
Aren't liberals supposed to be the ones saving the environment?

At three years old, in American households, Children were taught to make their beds and clean their rooms.
I guess these "clever ones" who "trash the place" never listened to their Mother's instructions. As a matter of fact, they are disobedient and wayward, never wanting to have "guidelines of decency", so off they go, to march in the streets, and as usual "trash the place". Just common decency ignored.
A mark of an American is that we are decent and in order. It comes from our Christian History. Yes, Americans are soldiers and yes, we have battles, but it is consistent with US that we "clean up our messes." It is our Christian History and our Christian manners that give US distinction.

It took all of 30 seconds of each vid to see the difference in outcomes.
Liberals, aka progressives, aka neocommies, are too wrapped up in their own self-importance to be bothered with cleaning up. THAT job is reserved for the peons that serve them in every aspect of their miserable lives. Truly the entitlement mentality pervades EVERY aspect of their very being.
"2 Saying The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses seat:
3 All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not.
4 For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on mens shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers.
5 But all their works they do for to be seen of men: they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments"

No surprises here.
Seems the oversimplification of a pathology holds true that intrinsic in the majority of liberals are what could be measured as a histrionic personalities.
For example, histrionic personalities are excessive emotional and attention-seeking, as well as have strong opinions expressed in dramatic flair, but underlying reasons are vague and diffuse, without supporting facts and details. They are the feeling, emotional, novelty seeking disordered types.
Sound familiar, doesn't it?

This is nothing new. I've seen after-the-closing-gavel TV of major party national convention sites, and the Democrat conventions are always by far the messiest.
At the local Republican conventions, we ask participants to take care of their discards and any unclaimed paper handouts in their vicinity, then send volunteers around with garbage and recycling cans to pick up anything left. By the way, it makes a good impression on the building staff, which is often union/Democrat leaning.

Oh c'mon, folks! How in the world could anybody be expected to bend over and pick up all that trash??? It was so cold and windy, why everybody was just trying to stay warm, and it would have discomfited them too much. I mean anybody can clear out trash when it's sunny and warm :) BTW, for those of you who don't get this, I'm being as sarcastic as I know how, given this medium :) :)

According to the Washington Post, after Obama's Inauguration, 120 tons of garbage (the most ever) were cleaned by Park and DC employees. Of course in an entitlement society, you rely on the "gov'ment" to clean up after you.
If you accept individual responsibility, as Glenn Beck's fans and Tea Partiers do, you clean up after yourselves.

Mr. Bobo
When you have an entitlement mentality, when you feel someone owes you, then they can pick it up, whether it be the government, or the oppressor, but not the entitled, not the victim.

Not that I'm claiming the trash after the BO inaug wouldn't have been bad, but you simply can't ignore the effect of all that wind.
Had it been that windy on 8/28, you can be sure the place would've been a mess 'cause every trashcan was overflowing with stuff laying all around it on the ground.

Of course there is a mess after liberals. They are merely making sure that SEIU has work to do. If we all cleaned up after ourselves, what would the unions have to do? So, by cleaning up after ourselves, it is obvious that conservatives want union members to lose their jobs and starve to death.

Oh, this is so accurate. My family had the honor and privilege of being in the Washington, D.C. area when Ronald Reagan died.
We went to the Mall and witnessed the procession of Mr. Reagan's caisson along Constitution Ave. to the Capitol. There were thousands and thousands of people with us in reverent attendance.
It was my wife who pointed out that there was no litter. Yes, the trash cans were overflowing, but the excess trash was all neatly stacked up around these cans so that the sanitary workers would have a much easier job.
I sometimes wonder what this country would look like if only the type of people in attendance at Mr. Reagan's caisson procession were allowed to vote.

I was THERE.
There were 300,000 people around the reflecting pool.. that's for starters. There were over a million people there. To blame the garbage on the number of people is silly. The grounds were spotless.
One might think that the local Washington DC gov't would provide extra garbage pails but they do not. Yet, somehow, the people on Saturday managed to clean up all of their garbage and place it neatly in bags around the pails. It was amazing how clean the grounds were in every direction where the people had spent half the day at the event.

Think about it. The Beck crowd was between 50k and 100k. The event happened during the day and lasted for about 4 hours. Also, most of these people and had been handed fliers on how to behave, no signs no guns.
The inauguration crowd is estimated to have been between 800k and 3mil. So lets say 1.5mil. People began getting there early that day and the event went well into the night.
Which event do you think is going to leave behind a bigger mess? Also,
the vid was taken back by the porto johns and it was windy.
The porto johns are always the grossest area.

Liberals will say the Mall is clean after a Conservative rally because Conservatives don't read the paper (or drink beer, or eat fast food, or chew gum or whatever else the source of the trash in video one was). The most striking trash in video one was the people, milling about on the dead grass, walking heedless through the blowing trash.

Please "PB", that's the difference between people who care about their country and those who think it owes them something. It's the kind of people, not the number of people.
It's a matter of character. It's a matter of class.
Lifes Lessons:
1)Life ain't fair, get over it.
2)Nothing in life is free
3)If you want something you have to earn it.
4)Society owes you nothing.
5)You have no right to be a burden on others.
Go through life with that understanding and you'll do well.
Say that at some victim rally and you'll wind up tarred and feathered.

Progressives always leave a mess. There was a public hearing regarding whether a copper-zinc mine might start up some years back in an Upper Midwest state. A fence divided the progressives opposed to the mine from those who supported environmentally responsible mining (yes, it is entirely within the capabilities of modern mine management to protect our planet and supply the minerals and energy sources we need to survive). When the event ended, the liberals' side of the fence was a pigsty (apologies to the pork industry) with litter every where. The pro-mine side had nary a discarded paper cup. Conservatives live up to our responsibilities. Liberals are forever young anarchists, even the ones with graying ponytails, relics of the 60s now in their 60s ("Never trust anyone over 30..." they once declared.) How ironic.

Perhaps I'm being a bit generous but I tend to give the benefit of the doubt... How about we get a video that shows the difference during like-kind crowd size and weather conditions? While it's been my experience that the same thing will be evident, Why give them a chance to so easily point out a bias? Let's face it, even if the Coron... Inauguration crowd put stuff in or stacked it neatly around the trash recepticles, it wouldn't have stayed there. And, given the futilty of the efforts to contain the trash, it would be quite natural for most to abandon the effort.

Regardless of the weather or number of participants, the ONE THING I do recall regarding Obama's coro/nauguration, was the hundreds, if not thousands, of small AMERICAN flags that were handed out to the crowd, and summarily deposited in the trash bins/bags on their way off the mall. You would have had a snowball's chance in Hades of finding such an UNPATRIOTIC act from any of the good Americans at the Beck rally.

It is clear that there is a significant cultural difference between the two events. There is clearly no justification for the disrespect that the crowd at the BHO Coro-Inauguration demonstrated toward the property of our National Mall and surrounding "PUBLIC" properties. It is easy and cheap to TALK about "Change" and "Hope" and "Respect".. it is quite another to LIVE it daily..
We taught our children from the time they could walk, not to just leave a place like they found it, but to in fact leave it a little better than it was left for them. When we camped, we would spend a few extra minutes picking up bottle caps, candy wrappers, and trash left by others. When the kids asked why, we explained that this world belonged to everyone and we each had a responsibility to protect it and do a 'little extra' to ensure that the land's God-given beauty would endure for them to enjoy with their children. As they matured, it was easy for them to understand the importance of the concept - even applying it to their respect for our original Constitutional protections and values.. wiping away the trash of Constitutional revisionism and see the beauty of the 'Original Intent" of this amazing document.

"That's looks like the difference between approx 200,000 people for Beck and the 1.8 million people for Obama."
That's preposterous. First of all, there were WAY more than 200,000 people Saturday. I'm told the Mall itself holds about that many, and that does not count the areas to the side which were rented specifically to accommodate overflow. They were CROWDED.
Someone else noted sarcastically that the Inaugural attendees were too cold to pick up trash. To those who didn't get the sarcasm, I'd point out that it's a lot easier to work hard on a cold day than on a hot one, and it was hot Saturday.
The Liberal apologist who claimed the difference was in the larger number of people at the Inauguration missed the obvious self-evident fact that if his assertion was true, there would simply be two or three times as much trash. That was simply not the case. The Conservatives left the Mall CLEAN whereas the Liberals left the place a disaster that the Parks people spent a week cleaning up. That's not because there were more people at Obama's coronation, but because the Conservatives went around picking up their own damned rubbish whereas the Liberals just threw their refuse on the ground, expecting others to take care of it for them.
Leave it to Liberals to totally miss the point and do it intentionally. And they wonder why every one of their ideas has exactly the opposite effect as intended.

We shared stories. We even talked about our families and this was with people we've never seen before or will most likely never see again. But we were all of one mind. TAKING OUR COUNTRY BACK from the vermin who infest it! I've never been in amongst this many people who were so courteous and respectful. As I'm disabled and needed the help of my cane on long jaunts such as this one, people excused themselves when they walked in front of me or bumped into me. This is what OUR nation USED to be like before these IGNORANT, ARROGANT, INCOMPETENENT boneheads we've got in office now, and the people who put them there and think like them, tried to destroy it. These two videos show you the difference between slobs and Good, Decent American citizens and this is how they will leave Our nation. Either a better place to live (CONSERVATIVE)or a trash heap. Hello America,
I have heard this for years. Although I have never been to a liberal or conservative function I have heard that one of the big differences between the two ideologies is the difference between trashed and orderly.
It would seem that the left are attracted to pig sty living conditions, while the right keep it orderly. It is the nature of both. Lefites lean slovenly while the right like the place looking as if they were never there.
The clips above prove what I am saying beyond a shadow of a doubt. When the devils disciples meet to celebrate one of their own coming into power, they leave their vile residue behind. Just the opposite when God's people come together, they pick up after themselves. Just proves the devil is a pig, his followers follow suit.

Everyone there took extra care to leave the place cleaner than when we arrived. When the provided garbage cans filled up everyone stacked the trash right beside them for easy cleanup. In fact, one woman in our group spent the day before picking up any garbage that she found as we walked through DC. We do count that high and higher. Especially when it comes to hours worked and dollars earned. If you truly are from Texas then you should know that most Texans, like all honest Americans, bust their hump to pay their way. Pride(or dignity)forbids us from letting others do what we should do for ourselves. Whether we live in a trailer or a mansion we've earned what we have. The same is true for those at Beck's rally and the folks commenting here. We're here because we live the principles of self-reliance. We accept the responsibility that comes with freedom. You should try it sometime. You'll sure sleep allot better. Funny how a tired body and clear conscience makes for a restfull night.

This is simply an example of real life. Liberals attract people who want to be taken care of, Conservatives attract people who take responsibility for themselves. 'Nanny state' displayed in its purest, most simple form.
The same thing is displayed in other ways, such as when we go to football practice with my son. Seems a lot of people need handouts for their fees, but are carrying $300 iPods, watch extended satellite programming at home, and drive shiny new cars...yet cannot come up with a single dollar bill for a mouthpiece for their child. I have even had my son 'demoted' on the team because he dared take a vacation while the others could not afford to (this really happened to him!). My son wonders why he cannot have the material things, and now understands the responsibility that goes with managing ones finances and where priorities should go. Those living with all the new shiny toys live in shacks with garbage all around them. We drive an inexpensive vehicle (paid for and well maintained, as autos are liabilities, not assets), have a 3500 sq ft home, and a well-maintained lifestyle ... on an average single income. Bragging? By far, no! Just an example of the difference of mindset we can teach our children, as well as teaching them to understand the WHY of it all.

How typical, this is what happens when you have two classes of Americans: those who want to make a positive change for smaller government, less taxes, more freedom. Compared to those who just vote for "change" and trash the place, looking for a handout, and someone else to clean up their mess.

The inauguration had 2 million people attend when they were only expecting 1 million. Trash cans were overflowing. Beck had a crowd of merely 300,000 to 500,00 (which , I read, included those watching the live stream online). Beck had the inauguration to look back on and had people GO OUT INTO THE CROWD with trash bags and made people throw their trash away. It's not as if Beck's group all found garbage cans and were cleaner about things. Plus, smaller group means less garbage in the first place. Seriously, why make this into an us vs them issue when it clearly is not!

I wasn't there. I did watch ABC and its broadcast of the Glenn Beck events. They (ABC) stated there was well OVER a million folks around the Monument, perhaps 2 million. If memory serves me correctly, the media reported that there was 800,000 to a million at the inaugration. Again ABC, not known as a Conservative network.
So those of you who are "slobs" continue to support the aliens and illegals.

It's fascinating to see how the so-called self-styled patriots on this board are happy to put the boot into the PUSA now it's BHO yet whenever one of "their" people is in the White House, any criticism is shouted down for being unpatriotic and unAmerican? Can someone please explain that for me? Good spelling and grammar preferred.

The most obvious difference between liberals and conservatives appears to be the way they argue.
Apparently conservatives think you can compare a gusty all-day event with wind-chill in the teens and about 1.8 million people to an event held on a still summer day with no wind and about 90,000 people (less than 1/20th the size). I'd bet that there was a garbage can for every two people at the sparsely attended Tea Party rally and when you put the trash in, it stayed in, because there was no wind and at least 1/20th the amount of trash.
There sure is a difference between liberals and conservatives. Conservatives apparently do not know how to argue honestly.
Not that such silliness even matters. I heard Hitler's Nuremberg rallies were absolutely spotless afterwards. Compare that to the Warsaw ghetto messiness and it is clear to see (using the above logic) how superior Nazi's were to the Jewish "vermin" as Hitler referred to them so frequently in his "Mein Kampf" strawman representations. Lol.

Big difference between the two events. Several Millions compared to? Not enough trash receptacles at the Inauguration. Apples to peanuts.
