TSA Takes Nail Clippers From Armed Soldier
Friday, November 19, 2010
File this one under "Non Compos Mentis." Several hundred National Guard troops were flying back home from Afghanistan when they ran into the TSA at Indianapolis. As one of the soldiers described it, "That's where the stupid started."
The soldier said, "It's probably important to mention that we were ALL carrying weapons. Everyone was carrying an M4 Carbine (rifle) and some, like me, were also carrying an M9 pistol. Oh, and our gunners had M-240B machine guns. Of course, the weapons weren't loaded. And we had been cleared of all ammo well before we even got to customs at Baghram, then AGAIN at customs."
Any sane person would be reasonably sure this contingent didn't include any would-be terrorists. Not the TSA.
One soldier had a Gerber multi-tool confiscated, and a TSA agent insisted that another turn over his finger nail clippers. According to the soldier reporting the story, "The conversation went something like this:"
TSA Guy: You can't take those on the plane.
Soldier: What? I've had them since we left country.
TSA Guy: You're not suppose to have them.
Soldier: Why?
TSA Guy: They can be used as a weapon.
Soldier: [touches butt stock of the rifle] But this actually is a weapon. And I'm allowed to take it on.
TSA Guy: Yeah but you can't use it to take over the plane. You don't have bullets.
Soldier: And I can take over the plane with nail clippers?
TSA Guy: [awkward silence]
Me: Dude, just give him your damn nail clippers so we can get the f--k out of here. I'll buy you a new set.
Soldier: [hands nail clippers to TSA guy, makes it through security]
This might be a good time to remind everyone that approximately 233 people re-boarded that plane with assault rifles, pistols, and machine guns -- but nothing that could have been used as a weapon.
There, don't you feel safer?

Wow, I am so relieved to know that those dangerous nail clippers were confiscated from those dangerous US Army soldiers. It is also nice to know that M4 Carbines can only be used as a weapon if they are loaded, although there are a few jihads that have been beaten to death with the butt of an M4 that might dispute that fact.
I am having a hard time working now as I can’t stop laughing at the pure stupidity and at the same time I am mad as hell for the political correctness of treating those who have been responsible for protecting this country at the risk of their lives as potential terrorists.

In case you need a book to tell you what you already know, Dr. Lyle Rossiter, Jr., M.D., wrote a book about modern liberalism's irrationality being the product of psychopathology: a massive transference neurosis acted out in the world's political arenas, with devastating effects on the institutions of liberty:
"So extravagant are the patterns of thinking, emoting, behaving and relating that characterize the liberal mind that its relentless protests and demands become understandable only as disorders of the psyche." ~ Dr. Lyle Rossiter Jr., M.D. - The Liberal Mind; The Psychological Causes of Political Madness. That's pretty good, did this TSA guy ever think that soldiers were taught to improvise, overcome, and adapt. I think he just wanted to impose his selfwill on someone so he could feel better about himself. the poor loser!

If there had been only one or two National Guard troops, I bet they could have taken over the plane,
without their guns and their nail clippers, because

A few years ago we were coming back from a cruise. My wife always carries a sewing kit (buttons fall off and seams open up). The kit contained a small scissor (1 1/2" blade). She by mistake left it in her carry on. The TSA moron (I should not insult morons) said she could not take it. At the same time the flight crew was walking by. She then asked the pilot would he please carry it on. I can't as they think I will hijack myself.

JOHN CLAIREAUX SIMON
Okay, first off I am US Army Retired... I am also a descendent of George Bernard Shaw Clairveaux which I only found out a year ago. I am a loving father and loving son, born and educated in the USA. So many things and I dont know how much space I have here, I want to thank you for contacting me. I am a visionary, I have been writing poetry since I was 12 years old and my uncle told me a few months before he died of pancreatic cancer in 1985, while we were walking around the block that he saw in my poetry great depth and vision and someday I will be called upon not for wealth and not for power but called upon to stand up with my vision. He sensed something, he did not know what it was but he sensed, that I had something inside me very powerful that would emerge. Now my uncle was a great man and when he died more than 5000 men came to his funeral weeping and all had something to say. I miss him and he is my guiding light. He was jewish and born in the USA he was on the first wave at omaha beach and survived and went on to be one of the early founders of the NY Marathon when only 50 men ran it. When there was no advertising no fan fare the reason I tell you this because as patriots we all have history that is in our bone marrow. That alcohol and drugs do not diminish, it is who we are inside that defines us. Now we are engaged in an almost invisible enemy and the 7th century barbarism that can not compete with new ideas and compassion and creative invention threatens the very existence of free men throughout the world. We can squabble about politics the left and the right but the democratic party has been hijacked by muslim extremist that are using their tools of soros and obama to complete the mission of total anilation of free people here in America and the world..Backing down and negotiating with pure evil is not an option and I request here and now that all police departments, state and towns and military installations lock their gates and fortify, do not allow the inspection by dept of justice, FBI and Homeland security to enter for any reason. Even a direct order by the commander and chief should not be allowed. Even if they offer 25 pizzas for a celebration do not open the gates. Obama thru the dept of justice has spent 20 million dollars to allow 80,000 muslim refugees to enter American soil, even if one of these people is linked or is a hamas terrorist, America is in grave danger. Because hamas is the butcher arm of Iran. Do the math 80,000 divided by 50 states is 1600 per state if they are distributed evenly and I dont think they will I think they will be sent to major cities. Right now in NYC over a million muslims live in harmony and peace. But they do not denounce terror within their religion so they are dormant. All it would take is a hundred hamas to incite them and we are in big trouble. Our defenses are extremely weak and vulnerable, if a convoy of Homeland security shows up at a military installation and requests a formation for review, muslim extremist armmed with machine guns could cut down an entire fort population, then use all of the weapons, ammo and trucks, tanks and apcs, whatever in the fort at their diosposal and move across America, picking up speed state by state..No one would be able to stop them not even the tea party, you dont stop tanks and 50 cal with shotguns and pitch forks. Am I a alarmist maybe so, but I had a nightmare and I rarely have nightmares and it was ugly. Our enemys have been paid off, right now all across America the 2nd ammendment has been shot down or in the process of getting shot down.Case in point, John Wayne Schrader, I saw it went on a few errands came back and it was removed from internet. But from memory the case goes like this, John Wayne Schrader US Navy retired was defending his family and home by a street gang and fired shots over the gangs head. Neighbors called the police, JWS did not surrender. Local police called state police and state police contacted the FBI, the FBI,got JWS to surrender. JWS was put in jail and faced trial, at the trial, the FBI took the side of the street gang and stripped JWS of his right to bare arms. The defense team ran out of money and was still fighting the court for justice. But the FBI has endless money and endless high paid lawyers. All across America these types of injustices are taking place. Eric Holder all the Obama czars must be arrested for high treason asap. Every day he remains in office every minute our freedoms erode. He is smiling and acting like a clean cut educated tiger woods and I am not a racist, I love Allen West and Thomas Sowell but the momentum of Islamaic extremismn is ganing strength and Obama is smiling because he knows by the time America wakes up, everything wiil be in place for his miltary take over and the local town beheadings will begin. Because unlike Adolf that put innocents on top of the ditch and shot them in the head and sometimes to save bullets put 3-6 heads together to kill disarmmed Peoople, that was a quick death. Slow hacking off heads is barbaric at the very least and extremely painful and demoralizing for children to stand and watch their brothers, parents murdered like this...I say this now if the American military does not arrest obama and all his staff and agencys and everyone and declare all muslims to pass though interrogation by the USMC. If all the TSA operations and and all laws and dismantling of freedoms and unconstitutional acts since this non American citizen has taken office are not declasred null and void then I will in the name of the American Patriot and the war dead of Arlington and the tomb of the unknown soldier will start a crusade (which I plan on doing anyway)to hunt down Islamic Fundalmentalist with the largest army since the crusades. Bringing to bare starting with fifty trained dogs and I love dogs mans best friend, and increasing in strength to a hundred, two hundred, five hundred, a thousand, five thousand, twenty thousand, fifty thousand, a hundred thousand, two hundred thousand, five hundred thousand, a million, two milion, five million, ten million, twenty million, fifty million hundred million, 500 million as we free people gather across No America increasing daily to hunt down the evil snakes and wipe out the cancerous growth once and for all... With extreme predjudice...Starting in Alaska on line horizontal in increasing waves of four to five lines of beautiful hungry dogs, with 25,000 bag pipes from UK and buckingham palace guards on horse back to meet American athletes, a million laccrosse players on horse back, football players, hunters, police, firemen, all welcome. Down from Alaska to British Columbia to Manitoba to Ontario and Quebec moving south and gaining speed and gathering volunteers to meet up with the American forces of dog lovers and free patriots that have had enough of the this wretched barbarous islamic ancient vile mental sickness that would throw acid in the faces of women and chop hands off of a people that seek freedom. A wave of dogs that will be handled by patriots of all races, religions, colors, that have one thing in common the desire to keep America entact and free. Furthermore a huge army of peace loving freedom fighters that will sweep across America to hunt down, traitors of freedom and muslim extemists, dogs can smell evil, then move within the civilized conciousness of a free people across America central and south America then on to europe securing the borders as they go and wiping out those that would oppose freedom. Let us rejoice in the knowledge and power that we are a part of the melting pot of the greatest nation of freedom the world has ever known and remain the beacon of light and hope throughout the world. My organization, C.O.G.S. christian observational guard service....I am not interestd in power I would yeild to better men than me LT Colonel Allen West and Lt Colonel Oliver North and General David Petreaus..I am a poet with a vision of America lasting ten thousand years."Never in the course of human events have so many owed so much to so few",Sir Winston Churchill..Furthermore UK, France, Germany, and Israel will all help us and Canada and others will join us to burn out and castrate the islamic threat and rid this cancer once and for all..To me Obama has betrayed his oath of office as well as the Constitution as well as the American miltary and the free people of the United States of America. When he did not appear at the Veterans memorial celebration and the tomb of the unknown soldier this caused mental anguish in the American Patriot the utter dis respect for war dead, and veterans and those in harms way and continues to undermine the men and women in the department of defense, free people, and enslaved people that look to America as their savior. I would like COGS to be a new segment of the DOD and I would yield under the power and jurisdiction of the elite command to protect honor the constitution of the United states of America. In the name of the great American heroes, Ronald Regan, George Patton, Douglas Mac Arthur, Ulysses S. Grant,Black Jack Pershing, (A hundred thousand pigs in Afghanistan needed now),Westmoreland,Gen Arnold Schwarzkoff...I pray that my vision is heard....Keep "In God We Trust", on all buildings and currency and remember if the American Flag is not saluted it ceases to exist...Amen

Well, I have one that might top this -- in 2002, on a troop flight to Afghanistan (I was commander of troops), we had to make an unscheduled stop at Dover AFB, where we off-loaded. When we were told to re-board the C-5A, the security personnel (I don't know if they were TSA or not, but they said they followed TSA "rules") made my soldiers walk through the magnetometer carrying their weapons. This included a soldier carrying an M-249 and an M-9. When I asked the security guard why he was doing this, he said there was a requirement that all personnel boarding flights had to go through the device. When I pointed out that all the soldiers had weapons and ALL of them were setting off the machine (the guards were then waving them through), he consulted with another moron and they decided instead to have my soldiers put their weapons through the X-ray machine. They also debated about confiscating pocket knives, but I talked them out of that, pointing out that we were heading to a combat zone where such things were hard to get. They then said that they had to be put into a locked container to be allowed through.
Following this, I concluded that there must be an IQ test to have this job, with the job requirement being that you must have failed the test.

Let's stop with the democrat revisionist history.
The bill to initiate and fund the TSA was passed in the House, controlled by democrats in 2001. President Bush wanted non-union, non-government security organization. But he signed the bill because it was the only option, other than vetoing it.
If you want to assign responsibility, democrats currently control the House, Senate, and presidency, in case you democrats have forgotten. They are the ones that have ramped up this theater of the absurd called the TSA.

I heard a story, a couple of years ago, that an FBI agent with a permit to bring a LOADED weapon onto a plane had his fingernail clippers confiscated for the same reason.

No one can deny the passion you bring to this. We're all upset about the usurpation of our rights as Americans. But the last thing we on the right need is for someone to go off half-cocked and start his own war against what he sees as "the enemy." That will just play into the hands of the liberals (who would love to have another non-Muslim terrorist to point to, after Tim McVeigh.)
There are smarter ways of dealing with this than sweeping across the nation with teams of Muslim-tracking dogs. The most helpful thing you can do is to seek professional help. I do not mean that as an insult, but with the most sincerity. One crazed rant (and trust me, that's how your post appears) from someone on the right becomes, in the minds of the leftist media, millions of violent torch-waving "teabaggers" that must be stopped; in other words, justification for even further trampling of our freedoms.
The second amendment was written not to preserve hunting or target shooting, but to allow that final redress of grievances should there be no other resort against tyrannical government. If that time comes, I will stand beside you, but trust me, bad as things are, that time is not yet here.

There is NO ONE so hard to live with as a little-minded person who suddenly has a lot of power. Like so many in the swollen TSA ranks. Most of the TSA troops are just trying to make a living and feed their families in an economy that is in a socialist tailspin. But, their fascist masters - the managers, supervisors and administrators - that is another matter. They will respond to political pressure and respond quickly. Like most all bullies, they will back down when their opponent pushes back. My friends, my neighbors, my countrymen! We need so very much, so urgently, to channel this resentment against the TSA into cards, letters, phone calls, e-mails and faxes to the political class in Washington D. C. This simple action (which we WILL have to continue) will get a little more of the government off the taxpayers' backs. Yes, the election is over. The results of the election are generally positive for conservative folks, but, guys, the fight has just begun. Let us all stay the course and regain our country, the real America!

The TSA guy was just following the idiotic orders of his superiors, who are just following idiotic orders from their superiors....who get their orders from our elected and high level appointed officials and it is they who are responsible for this repression of the American public and the stupidity gong on with the TSA and other government agencies (like the BATFE & the IRS). And, of course, it is WE THE PEOPLE who elect these incompetent and criminal politicans (who appoint the incompetent and criminal high level appointees).
So, in the final analysis, it's our fault. Freedom is not free and most of us do not spend the time and effort to keep abreast of events much less do anything about it, like work on campaigns or donate a little money to competent, non criminal candidates whose character is upright, ethical and moral.
If the TSA agent did not confiscate the soldier's nail clippers, he would probably have been fired. His hands were tied, just like the military's hands were tied (both, behind the back) during the Vietnam war, where they were restrained to the point of lunacy (even so, we kicked the NVA and the VC's butt in every battle of consequence, including the Tet Offensive...the war was lost by propaganda, not by the military prowess of the enemy)
At any rate, the American people need to wake up, get off it's behind, become really educated (not through the main media, they lie to us all the time, just like our government) and vote good people in office, because we have precious few in office now, either Republican or Democrat.

Hey Jon,
The blame-Bush game is far back and it doesn't matter if TSA was started by Jimmy Carter or Dwight Eisenhower. The issue is what is happening today at our airports. How is there comfort to Obama's useful idiots in bringing up Bush or the salary of these buffoons. Let's give the inspectors authority to shoot to kill anyone who complains about their rights being violated and the useless activities they perform. They've never found a single terrorist threat. Grow up, Jon and join us Tea Party Patriots in getting the bums out. We've made a good start in spite of morons like you.

Here's the video I'd like to see on the news.
Intro: Guy in jeans and a flannel shirt is filmed at the airport, prior to entering TSA security checks, taping about 20 packets of sugar flat along his skin on his shins, behind his ankles, under the inside of his biceps, etc. Then he puts one packet into each pocket of his jeans.
At the TSA line: Guy declines the scanner and opts for the "love grope". The "love grope" ensues, with the TSA guy not finding any of the sugar packets.
In the terminal: Guy shows off his 20+ packets of sugar (which could have been explosives).
I've been through the "love grope" twice now, and I'd be willing to bet that the TSA guy doing the pat-down never would have found any of the sugar packets.

"How do you know when the time is right."
When is it OK to "bear arms" against an oppressive government? I agree with the comment made above; this is nto the time. But the question was asked before, in 1993. From then until now, I have searched for the answer. After many years of research I formulated the following standard, which according to the legal scholars and historians I've talked with, is as good an answer as any so far put forth. When might we be morally, if not legally justified in resisting with a force of arms protected by trhe Second Amendment? My response:
"When those in power within the FEDERAL government intentionally, with blatent disregard fo the laws and Constitution they have sworn to uphold, protect, and defend, deny, strip away, or prohibit the protections, rights, and/or the free exercise of the rights and protections as set forth in the Constitution of the United States of America; providing that ALL legal and peaceful remediesand appeals have been exhausted; and further providing the denial of our freedoms and rights is accomplishted, or attempted to be accomplished through an illegal force of arms." This is only a starting point, but I think it's one the Foundign Fathers would approve. Let us pray it never comes to that.

As an Israeli security guy said, "you order a bottle of wine, you break it - there's your weapon.... You have to look for the terrorist, not the weapon."
Duh.
The TSA should be buried immediately. It does no good whatsoever.
JOHN CLAIREAUX SIMON:
"Starting in Alaska on line horizontal in increasing waves of four to five lines of beautiful hungry dogs, with 25,000 bag pipes from UK and buckingham palace guards on horse back to meet American athletes, a million laccrosse players on horse back, football players, hunters, police, firemen, all welcome."
I think the Muslims could handle anything but the million lacrosse players. Not lacrosse players! Anything but lacrosse players! Seriously man, you need help. Write poetry and leave the warring to sane men. You need a psychiatrist. You have a delusion of grandeur. Even a layman can see that. Some of what you say is true but it's unhinged, man. Like when you say you had a nightmare and rarely have nightmares and that's supposed to mean the content of the nightmare is true? Get help! I agree with p3orion on that... and that your rant paints the whole right as lunatics.
I agree with D.Lamb. How do you know the time is not right? (3 times) Because of the latest congressional elections. The system is still whole... sure there is encroachment by the executive branch but there always is. Congress has to slap its hand and get it back in its own legitimate area of jurisdiction.

I think that the story cannot be true unless those were some kind of special nail clippers. I went to the TSA site and it says that nail clippers are not listed as prohibited.

Some things to remember:
(1) You cannot legislate common sense.
(2) IGNORANCE can be remedied, but STUPIDITY is forever.
(3) It's all about personal responsibility.

Wonder why the fearsome TSA did not take the bayonets that go with each rifle?
I have to wonder about the definition of STUPID as it applies to our Politically Correct Security Measures of Homeland Security all while our borders are wide open.

Until the amerikan people wake up and become Americans, the travesty to our liberty and freedom will continue. The aka, b soetoro, the thieving congress and the corrupt courts are not the problem, the problem is the people. They are totally dumbed-down by the totally, controlled media and their 501 religions that they choose not to think about "their" obligations and responsibilities! We WILL go through a period of slavery and subjugation and who know how long that it will take to recover. Very possibly the Mayan calendar was predicting the aforementioned and not the alleged 'end of the world', so to speak!

Oh yes, for all of you who think that the tsa is a bad agency, I have decided that it is the method that the system has created to discover who the real perverts are, and how to keep them off of the streets! See, you have to think deeper!

Classic OSHA mentality. Require backup horns on forklifts--and noise suppressors on the ears of the workers prevent hearing the backup alarms. Hmmm?
Confiscate nail clippers--not box cutters. Confiscate ink cartridges--but not a mechanical pen or pencil;
Confiscate tiny scissors--not sealing credit cards or driver license, all plastic, all dangerous weapons. Just as a pen or pencil. Specific training in roles informs that there is always a weapon or instrument of defense (or offense) available. The bare hand, properly used, can quite quickly kill or maim.
The Israeli concept is excellent but not appropriate in the USA. Far more people, traveling from, and to, many more sites
The concept of trained, armed personnel aboard aircraft makes far more sense. Profiling of passengers is not only appropriate, it is necessary. The excuse of 'profiling is---" whatever remarkable contradiction is current is ludicrous! Now the aircraft crew is excused from examination. Others will be---Senators, for example. (unless they have private military aircraft a la Pelosi). What better way to board an aircraft with nefarious intent? The first protests to profiling came from dark haired, swarthy complexioned men of indeterminate origin. And we let women in burqua dress walk through? Stupid, pure unadulterated government stupid!
The bit about checking the TSA website is specious. A list of confiscatable items was posted above, and it is quite close to accurate.
Semper Fi!

I generally have a lot of respect for the Patriot Post but the publication has lost some esteem with an article like this. Nail clippers are allowed through airport checkpoints. A statement like this is inflammatory and untrue. It makes me wonder if other articles I have come to rely on are also untruthful.

Both the scanners and the "pat down" searches are physically invasive, and our "rulers" should be made fully aware of our thoughts concerning such action.
We, the American people, are allowing the "rulers" take away our freedoms, one bit at a time, and when it is finally realized how far they've gone, it will be too late to recover.

Soldiers are not above the law. The fact that you are soliders does not mean that a terrorist is not amongst you or even that PTSD has knocked a few screws loose in someone and then they try to harm someone else. There has been more than 1 incident where a US soldier has killed other US soldiers in the name of allah. You should comply with the TSA regulations and not complain about them when they cause a MINOR inconvenience. I served Active Duty Army for 9 years and deployed to Iraq and I would have given the TSA my nail clippers if they had asked for them...just be glad your home and thank you for serving.

I was almost arrested by TSA at the New Orleans airport because I argued with them because they confiscated one small tube of toothpaste because I had two small tubes of toothpaste...not allowed. The whole thing is stupid. I heard that a special ops person could take over an airplane with a credit card. I would hate for TSA to hear about this, because next thing we will see is that they are now confiscating credit cards. Instead of dealing with terrorists, they just aggravate normal people and then think that we will FEEL safe.

I guess that TSA agent hadn't been brought up to date. Nail clippers have been allowed for years, (see the note about allowed items above) but I can't wear slippers made specially for going through security (paper soles with wide open mesh top) but men can wear socks. I am 71, have white hair and blue eyes. I have had my carry on luggage searched, gone through full body scanners, been "wanded" and patted down. The TSA is about 5 steps behind the terrorists. The terrorists are like McGuiver...they can make a weapon out of almost nothing.

I did not fully read all comments but I know something is amiss with these security measures. I took a regular flight from Missouri to Texas a few years back with my nail clippers and tweezers being taken from me (they were mailed to my home by those who took them from me which I thought was very generous). One the return trip from Texas to Missouri I packed deer antlers which I had found into my suitcase..right on top of my clothes because I thought it might be illegal and my cousin waited for me to clear security so if they took the antlers she could mail them to me later. I cleared with no problem at all and the only suitcase I had was a carry on! I thought then that if I were so disposed, I probably could do more harm with antlers than with either nail clippers or tweezers..no?

into a political battle because people are going to believe what they

For one thing, he probably had to have the bill read to him and even

JOHN CLAIREAUX SIMON - you're spreading hatred. Why should Jews have a free pass to US and not Muslims? Muslims are not the danger in USA, but the Jews who own the Military Industrial project, Wall Street, 90% of the Media, the federal reserve and God know what more. You, 2% of the American people control every instance, 50% of Obamas advicers are Jewish.
You convince the congress to send American youngsters to die in Afghanistan and Iraq so that you can fill your pockets with dollars. You convinced Bush to go on a cruissade against the Iraqi muslims, you convinced CIA to topple the democratic gevernment in Iran, Mossadeq, in operation Ajax, and see what kind of Iran you gave us... And today your Mossad blow a bomb in Teheran, killed one person, injured others.
You keep a king in place in Saudi who keeps his country back in the 14th century and steal all the oil money. You displace Palestinians from the land they lived on for centuries.
And you are surprised there are Arab terrorists? YOU MADE THEM. You created Osama bin Laden. You economicly supported Taliban.
Muslims in America are no danger, greedy Jews who don't care how many American kids die, and what it costs the taxpayers are.

When we got back from Iraq in 2007, we were going through a security checkpoint to catch our flight back home. There was a holdup in the line so I walked up to see what was going on. The idiot security geeks were demanding that our guys dispose of any bottles over whatever it was , like 6 ounces, and that included shampoo, shaving cream, everything. And he was telling guys to take off their boots. I got angry and told my guys to just blow through security because I was pretty sure we could take down one minimum wage moron. He wasn't happy but I got the line moving. What is wrong with our government??????

To my enemys...Your quick to blame the Jews, The Jews will save the world, there are good jews and bad jews. Israeli Intell sent a super worm into Irans facility, slowing down a major catastrophe. Ask yourself what black jack pershing would do in Afghanistan or Iraq? American soldiers do not die in vain!!! The crusade is in motion, I did not start the Crusade, either you line up and wait to be tortured by Jihad, beheaded by a dull arabian sword as you watch loved ones die and you cry like a little girl. Or you rid America the land I love and was born and raised on, not by violence but by votes and knowledge...Now what I predicted is happening creeping across the world, type Sharia law into browser, educate yourself. I don't care how it started or who's to blame. I didn't start the over spending of the pres, spending America into bankruptcy, so that America is broke and can'rt support our military. You think enemys of Humanity can be bought or reasoned with? Now who is the insane one? Your mothers, children, wives, friends are not worth dying for? Your not men, your cub scouts blaming people for Osama bin laden a Saudi prince CIA handling. So what...The free world has a huge problem that is not going away, pull the blankets over your heads and hide. Jihad throws acid in womens faces, chops Christians, jews up, burys women them up to their necks, some muslims are pedophiles, not all, I know good peacefull muslims. You would defend a pedophile? I suffer from PTSD, but I harness my suffering. I am not inciting anything I am responding to horror. Marines don't die in vain!!!!!!!!!!! Semper Fidelis

Tommy gun then! You can't spell crusade! Jews like I said there are bad ones. I coined a phrase this morning, "Greed has no concious", after the Smithsonian disgrace. The 125 billionaires in the world are destroying economys, so don't be blaming the jews. Tommy you sound like Adolf, a real jew hater! You need to type into your browser new world order and wake up! Look up on you tube or listen to Alex Jones...The muslims in America are dormant peacefull, but very few denounce terror, they are on a wait and see..."Knowledge is power". I am educated and have more friends then people you know. Friends I would give the shirt off my back to...A measure of a man is how many true friends he has..."All that is needed for evil to flourish is for good men to do nothing." Edmund Burke

I would suggest that everyone take the time to watch every film clip on you... tube concerning Allen West. Let Allens thoughts, ideas and courage resonate through true patriots to start a firestorm in the hearts and minds of free people throughout America. Especially his response to a question on you tube from a Marine. That's the film clip you must search for and share with those you love....

Here in Chicago, most of those hired as TSA security, we're from the security agency (Arborgast??) that worked at O'Hare before TSA was formed. Most were morons with nice rap sheets, no where near the kind of people you'd want in the position of responsibility. This info comes from the numerous occasions where there was reason to arrest them. Not very bright.

The TSA and the whole Patriot Act are a danger to our country.
This would be a great story about the TSA IF it were true. Like a lot of today's political comment, it is not true.
You can read why it has been judged a Fiction next, but the bigger point I have to make are further below
As noted earlier Nail files are allowed to be carried by passengers on planes.
They are listed as permitted since 2002
I know that tracking down rumors takes time, but there is now a TruthorFiction piece on this
http://www.truthorfiction.com/rumors/t/TSA-Military-Nail-Clipper.htm
"Transportation Security Inspectors Tough On Military With Nail Clippers-Fiction!
Summary of the eRumor:
This is a forwarded email with an account of an incident where Transportation Security Administration inspectors harassed members of the U.S. military over the possession of finger nail clippers.
The Truth:
Nail Clippers are not among the prohibited item list according to the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).
The TSA also said that this account is a fabrication and could not have possibly happened because their inspectors do not have access to the private terminals used by members of the military at the Indianapolis International Airport.
They explained this myth on their TSA blog site.
Updated 12/5/10"
The passing around Fiction as fact undermines your argument
In the case of the TSA,the facts are damning enough
This one was harder than some to check out, but please spent the time to check things out before you pass them on, whether by email, blog or website.
I repeat, The TSA and the whole Patriot Act are a danger to our country.
Funny how some of you couldn't see that when it all started under Bush. Taking away your rights is dangerous whether the administration is Republican or Democrat.

The use of scare tactics on U.S. Citizens to exploit our fears is nothing more than a ploy to herd us like cattle to slaughter...Our Government wants to know exactly where we are and what we are doing at all times, while they control the setting in which you (we) will be in. There is NO homeland security, if there was our borders would be closed and secured, Arizona would be praised instead of sued by the Obama administration and we could go from one state to another without interference from big brother. the biggest terrorist is uncle sam.
