Paul Ryan Promises, 'We Will Cut Spending'
Tuesday, April 5, 2011
Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI), chairman of the House Budget Committee, makes the case that federal spending must be cut. He is showing the leadership that is utterly lacking in his fellow politicians.
No matter what Democrats promise — or what weak-kneed Republicans fall for — Ryan says, "Washington has not been telling you the truth."

I pray our elected will do what is necessary to stop this run to ruin. The alternative is not pretty.
How many can spend 8.2 times more than we earn each month to operate our households or businesses?

It will take more than prayers to get through the absolute corruption in DC. DC is a result of the absolute pathetic condition the US is in. Wisconsin. WOW. Totally out of control with zero accountability.
Here is another link that will blow your mind about the humble liberals and their condemnation of the "rich". Who is guarding the henhouse????

This blew me away about the CONTINUING abuse of this administration.

The only problem with his comments is that he said we are headed for a debt crisis. Hello - we are already IN a debt crisis. The only way to get out is to keep Washington within its Constitutional limits of power.

I love this guy! He's brilliant, but he also has a gift for explaining the problem, describing why we must address it now, and clearly proposing solutions. He is one answered prayer, I believe!

The only reason it has gotten to this point is... you know it's true... US! No one is to blame but us. We need to pay more attention to our elected officials and their dealings. Instead, we are most busy checking out the latest score/ standings of our favorite team or arguing which singer/ dancer is better. WE were given a great opportunity by our fore fathers and we have failed them.

You Tube sucks! Or maybe they have a Leftist agenda. The carpola video for Obma's re-election campaign ran straight thru in 2:10. The Ryan video above 3:12 took over 8 minues of stop & start download by segments none over 30 second sound bites.

Budget plans are better when they sound like they were soundtracked by Steve Jablonsky.
What is mind-boggling to me is that I have already seen, personally, heavy-handed denouncements from liberal sources of the GOP's pathetically small $61 billion budget cuts.
Chicken Little might just have a straight-up heart attack when he hears about the "Path to Prosperity."

Very nice presentation - the graphics make the point.
For many folks, the M, B and Tr -- illions are just words. What is next Zillions??
High quality graphics - even simple pie charts can make the point better than the facts themselves.
Mark had a graphic in a recent Digest that showed the a pie chart with ALL of Americas Debt- since George Washington. A large portion - about 2/3 of the pie - was since 2006 - under control of the Pelosi House. To make the point - Obamas proposed cuts were depicted -- as a barely visible thin line in the pie -- and that was only after being magnified by a factor of ten to even make it visible.
God Bless Rep. Ryan for focusing his talents on this all important issue. He will be vilified by the leftist talking points -- but of course they haven't read the bill. We need to pass it so they can!
We really do need about 550 men and women of character in politics who care more about our country than their own political future. We also need some American voters who care more about the country than themselves. "Ask not...."

Hey enemaofthestatistquo -
The problem that there is a tremendous amount of content being pushed to your computer. It is squeezed by the transfer limitations of your system.
Here is how to beat it: Click on the "Play" triangle and when it starts, immediately click on "Pause". Then walk away, grab a cup of coffee or a pop - relax as the "Loading" bar moves across the lower portion of the screen. When it gets half way across, click on "Play" again, sit down and enjoy the video uninterrupted.
Just takes a little practice to avoid stress.

How come the Republican Leadership (still an oxymoron) is not calling for the abolishing or repealing every agency, bureau, department, regulation, rule, law, regulation, etc. not specifically authorized by the Constitution? If they did this the budget would probably be cut by 90% or better. Not only would we have an instant balanced budget, but a huge surplus. As for social security, Medicare and Medicade I am waiting for someone to show me which section of the Constitution authorizes them. The only problem with this is how to make whole the people who have had their money stolen for these schemes. Yes stolen, what else would you call it when money is taken under duress? Don't pay your FICA and see what happens. BTW, I am not a kid, but 66 and getting back some of my money I could have spent or invested more wisely. I suggest people read "Not Your's to Give" by Davy Crockett. Also James Madison had something to say about the powers of Congress and the government getting involved with charity.

The Fed is trying to convince us we can't live without them. Time to show them the truth. If we do not stop them now the next step is to shutdown the country and that's not a pretty option.

"Coin money and regulate the value thereof"- The US Congress has been remiss in their duties since 1913. Each year the Congress or the President should introduce a bill authorizing the issuance of a finite quantity in various denominations of US currency backed by the Full Faith & Credit of the United States. No other backing need be required, because that statement reflects the productivity of the population (citizenry) of the US. Gold/silver are unnecessary for the backing of our currency as Pres. Lincoln proved by the issuance of "Greenbacks" to help finance the 'War of Confederate Independence'. These "greenbacks" were issued directly from the US Treasury into private hands as payment for war materiel & circulated thru the economy until these same dollars were accepted by the Treasury as payment of taxes due. The criteria of issuance would be a formula of added population based on live births and total interest charged on loans per the year just passed. The Quantity -for the births, currency equal to subsistence level to support that new life & that an amount = to the amount of money charged as interest, because interest is money "not yet created".

JC Alexander-Red Bluff Conservative...
This guy sounds just like a Democrat. Notice how he lumped the Medicare cost in with interest on the debt so it would sound like only a very good concept. Interest on the debt has nothing to do with Medicare. Medicare is being paid into by all taxpayers and should always be available to all taxpayers. Ryan needs to say specifically what he wants to do with Medicare. This little speech doesn't say squat. I hope no body says they are supporting his bill on the strength of this small load of crap. This sounds like Barack Obama; 'We need change'... Shape up, Ryan, and say what you mean.
