Open Thread: Constitution Day

Saturday, September 17, 2011

Today, Sept. 17, 2011, marks the 224th anniversary of the signing of our Constitution at the Philadelphia (Constitution) Convention in 1787.

To show your support and defense of the Constitution, be sure to sign on to the Oath Accountability Civil Action for Constitutional Integrity.

To enforce our Constitution's limits on the central government, we believe a formal legal action is necessary. This action, if successful, would require that all members of the Executive, Legislative and Judicial branches, first and foremost, abide by their oaths "to support and defend" our Constitution, under penalty of law, and comport with its enumerated limitations on the federal government. The current scope of federal activities provides abundant evidence that many members of those three co-equal branches have long since abandoned their oaths, and, at present, there is no recourse for prosecution to enforce compliance.

To that end, please sign on to this action, and join Patriots across the nation in this effort to establish legal standing as citizens, particularly those in our Armed Services who defend their oaths with blood and life. If we are unsuccessful in our effort to seek remedy for the lack of any proscription against, and penalty for breach of oath, it is because the judiciary refuses any such accountability regarding the wanton violation of our Constitution. Such rejection would in effect render Americans once again condemned to the abuse previously characterized in American history as "Taxation Without Representation."

I take a stand against those who would undermine the Constitutional protections our Founding Fathers gave us, and so many have fought to protect. I take a stand for limited government, for life, for individual liberty and FREEDOM!!!

In all my 57 years of life GOD has given me, the things we have and take for granted are sometimes best said in famous American quotes. Of these some weren't born American. It is difficult to claim one which say's it all. Please accept these for Open Thread: Constitution Day postings:

We sleep peacefully at night, cradled by the big strong hands of America. ~Val Saintsbury

America is another name for opportunity. Our whole history appears like a last effort of divine providence on behalf of the human race. ~Ralph Waldo Emerson

I love my freedom. I love my America. ~Jessi Lane Adams

This country will not be a good place for any of us to live in unless we make it a good place for all of us to live in. ~Theodore Roosevelt

Of all the supervised conditions for life offered man, those under USA's constitution have proved the best. Wherefore, be sure when you start modifying, corrupting or abrogating it. ~Martin H. Fischer

He loves his country best who strives to make it best. ~Robert G. Ingersoll

It is the love of country that has lighted and that keeps glowing the holy fire of patriotism. ~J. Horace McFarland

"Our country, right or wrong." When right to be kept right; when wrong to be put right. ~Carl Schurz

Off with your hat, as the flag goes by!

And let the heart have its say;

you're man enough for a tear in your eye

that you will not wipe away.

~Henry Cuyler Bunner

It is the flag just as much of the man who was naturalized yesterday as of the men whose people have been here many generations. ~Henry Cabot Lodge

The winds that blow through the wide sky in these mounts, the winds that sweep from Canada to Mexico, from the Pacific to the Atlantic - have always blown on free men. ~Franklin D. Roosevelt

I have designed and printed a business card sized handout to promote this action among my friends. Text follows:

initiates an unprecedented legal battle to reinstate the Rule of Law by penalizing elected officials who breach their oath "to support and defend" the constitution.

As a United States citizen, please learn more and register your support at the website."

I swore and oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States of America upon entry into the Air Force. I retired after 26 years of service, but that does not diminish the oath, or remover responsibility for upholding it. I actively work to get this treasonous regime ousted. I would prefer impeachment and immediate removal for the violation of their oaths and unconstitutional regulative dictats, but will settle for their defeat at the ballot box if we can survive that long. I will whole heartedly support this initiative.

I would like to support your oath, but your qualification that I be a United States citizen and subject to federal taxes to be eligible precludes me from doing so. Last time I checked Article 1, Section 2, Clause 3 nor Article 1 , Section 8, Clause 1 applied to me and the 16th amendment, according to the supreme court, conferred no new form of taxation. Therefore,I am not a tax payer (two words). Feel free to check out the following link to learn more - http://www.truthattack.org/jml/index.php

ANY BREACH OF THE OF THE "LOYALTY OATH" TO THE CONSTITUTION SHOUlD BE TREATED AS TREASON.

JUST AS "THE PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE" STATES,

I PLEDGE ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICXA AND TO THE REPUBLIC FOR WHICH IT STANDS, ONE NATION UNDER GOD INDIVISIBLE WITH LIBERY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL.

A slight, but very important editorial note in the first sentence.

"...our second Constitution..."

I thank God for the blessings this nation had received and continue to receive. I pray that we all be united in one accord as we face the uncertainty of the future. I believe, in our country's capability in handling all its problems and stuff. And with the help of our God almighty we shall persevere and we shall always be the greatest country in the world ever, so help us God to help us all. GOD BLESS AMERICA AND ITS CONSTITUTION. The law of the land must stand.

"To enforce our Constitution's limits on the central government, we believe a formal legal action is necessary."

Then obviously you don't believe in the Constitution.

All moral and legal authority is built into the Constitution.

If you don't have the backbone to exercise the unalienable right God gave you and the 2nd Amendment (AKA, " Oath Accountability Civil Action for Constitutional Integrity")He provided; you aren't apt to exercise any extra-Constitutional protection you may succeed in deluding yourseleves into thinking may be more effective.
