If you make the lie big enough, and repeat it often, even intelligent people will succumb to the prevarication. Watch the news reporting of Japan's Chernobyl. The Japanese have used seawater to flood thereby destroying two reactors at a cost of well over a billion dollars. Radiation levels in Tokyo are "slightly elevated," and the doom-and-gloom crowd call for a total moritorium on nuclear energy a la Three Mile Island. On the other hand, the United States Navy has lived with nuclear energy since 1954 without incident.

Rifleman - if you review IRS tax data from 2002-2008, you will see a large increase in tax receipts (I don't use tax "revenue" since nothing is produced) from the top 5% - and the economy during that time (regardless of what the liberal press says) was good to everyone in general.And if you look at the IRS tax data, the top 5% are paying a greater % of total taxes than anytime in our history. And there was no tax cut, extension was for the current tax rates from the 2003 tax bill.

Let's not get off track and lose focus on what this dolt is trying to convince us of. These progressive liberals in government assume they can say anything without repercussions or the truth eventually being revealed. And, if something is revealed and will make a Democrat look bad, well, the media will ignore the story completely. This woman (Pelosi) is a certifiable kook. She needs to be given a mental capacity test…she is blatantly detached from reality. And to think, I use to like the 49ers back when Montana was the QB…

Hypothetically, lets just assume Nancy Pelosi is correct and Obamacare creates millions of jobs. Name me one thriving economy any where in the world that is built and sustained on 'service type jobs.' Lets face it, service jobs are a necessity (at least some are) but service jobs do not rally a sagging economy.America was built and made strong by people making things, growing things, inventing things and building things. Seems to me the government sector has already grown by millions of jobs...how has that worked for us?

Thomas P, exactly. Obamacare may even produce more jobs than that, however, they will all be the WRONG kind of jobs, and they will hugely increase our personal costs.

What part of jobs don't you understand. She is talking about positions. They cost money. Raise prices. Create red tape. There's more that you'll find out when you pay your taxes, medical bills, insurance bills, or just need medical care.

I'm going to believe Rep. Michelle Bachmann! She reported that Rep. Pelosi and Harry Reid WROTE IN into the "Obamacare" Bill a provision for SELF-FUNDING. The bill came to $105,464,000,000.00

Obamacare will only bring doctors for filling prescriptions. Gone are the days of the technological medical advancements from our medical society that is the envy of all countries.My neice is going to Med school and I ask her, why? With the impending Obamacare and the exodus of medical professions Obamacare will create, why waste her time and money. Her answer is "So I can take care of my family."
