AU Burns Climate Change Agenda
Australia says “no” to topic at G20.
Australian officials and those of other developed nation’s have been forthright in speaking out against the United Nation’s climate agenda. Subsequently, the new government of the Land Down Under has steadily abandoned renewable energy standards that aren’t up to par with economic reality and detrimental to growth. The G20 summit is scheduled to be hosted in Brisbane, Queensland, come November, and EU leaders aren’t happy about Prime Minister Tony Abbott’s decision to scrub climate change from the agenda. “European Union officials say Australia has become completely ‘disengaged’ on climate change since Tony Abbott was elected in September last year,” The Australian reports. “They are disappointed with the Prime Minister’s approach, saying Australia was considered an important climate change player under Labor. One well-placed EU official has likened the change to ‘losing an ally.’” EU leaders are now pleading with Australia to reinstate the topic amid the IPCC’s newest report propagating the worst alarmism yet. That’ll be a tough sell considering the globe isn’t warming.
