ObamaCare Is Even Ruining Baseball
The Chicago Cubs just can’t win. Tuesday night’s game against the San Francisco Giants featured an event now known as “tarp gate.” The grounds crew was unable to cover the field in time during an unexpected downpour, and the game was called in the fifth inning after a nearly five hour delay still left the field too wet for play. The real reason? ObamaCare. The Cubs reorganized staff during the offseason to account for rules governing how many hours employees can work before being considered full-time and eligible for benefits. Ten crew members were sent home earlier Tuesday given the good forecast, but that left the grounds crew unable to handle the tarp. To add insult to injury, though the Cubs won the game (games are “official” after five innings), the Giants filed a protest and won – itself a rare feat. They then proceeded to win the game 5-3. Thanks, Obama.
