‘If Only the Terrorists Attacked a Golf Course…’
Islamic jihad is on the rise, and the country most capable of eradicating the threat is in hibernation. That’s because Barack Obama is stubbornly resistant to calling a spade a spade. Speaking at the Republican Leadership Summit in New Hampshire over the weekend, senator and GOP presidential candidate Ted Cruz berated Obama’s habit of labeling every terrorist attack a random act of violence. Cruz said, “If we want to restore American leadership in the world, the first thing we’ve got to do it tell the truth. You cannot defeat radical Islamic terrorism with a president and an administration unwilling to utter the words ‘radical Islamic terrorism.’” Recalling the attack on Charlie Hebdo in Paris, France, he added, “[W]e all remember just a few months ago seeing over 40 world leaders walking arm-in-arm in solidarity with France against radical Islamic terrorism and where oh where oh where was the United States of America? You know, if only the terrorists attacked a golf course. That might actually get the White House’s attention. ‘Holy cow! This is serious!’” Obama has a penchant for hitting the green when political catastrophe strikes, and we’re near the point that the only thing capable of catching his attention is anything blocking his swing.
