Ronald Reagan Packed Heat While in Office
Not only is President Ronald Reagan the role model for modern conservatism, he actively exercised his Second Amendment rights while in office. He used to carry a .38 handgun. “Reagan used to hide it in his briefcase and take it on Air Force One,” writes Brad Meltzer at the New York Daily News. “Whatever you think of Reagan, you have to admit, he had a black belt in badassery.” We might have wished he had carried a .44, but it’s refreshing to see a leader who considers himself an American with all the rights and responsibilities as such, not a supreme leader who wants to “fundamentally transform” the country.
