Hillary’s Softball Interview
Hillary Clinton just suffered the media to conduct the first interview since her presidential announcement. And it was as expected — a few softballs lobbed her way. CNN’s Brianna Keilar complained after the interview that we “didn’t hear a more open or transparent Hillary Clinton,” but it might’ve helped if Keilar had asked even the most basic follow-up questions. Instead of letting Hillary off with telling us she’s “very disappointed” in Donald Trump’s immigration comments, Keilar should have pressed Clinton to answer for her own past remarks supporting sanctuary cities in light of the recent murder committed by a five-time deportee. Or how about her private and secret email server? “Everything I did was permitted,” Hillary insisted. “There was no law, no regulation, there was nothing that did not give me the full authority to decide how I was going to communicate.” That’s a bald-faced lie, and Keilar left it essentially unchallenged. We suppose Keilar deserves some credit for asking the questions to begin with, but Clinton was her usual evasive self and wasn’t made to squirm. Clearly, Hillary isn’t trustworthy, but the Leftmedia seems not to care.
