That Wasn’t a Picture of American Vets on DNC Website…

They say a picture is worth 1,000 words.

What better way to demonstrate the Democrat Party’s familiarity with veterans than with a picture of Barack Obama greeting Polish veterans in uniform? On Thursday, the Military Times contacted the Democrat National Committee, asking it about the picture published on its web page that described its platform towards veterans. Instead of a group of American vets, the DNC had put up an image that was taken in 2011 of four Polish veterans meeting Obama at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Warsaw. At least, that’s how the image was described on the White House website. The DNC quickly changed out the photo and Eric Walker, DNC spokesman, issued a statement: “We thank Military Times for bringing this to our attention and have now fixed the photograph on our website. Whether it’s passing a new GI Bill, tax credits for hiring veterans, or reducing homelessness among veterans, the Democratic Party’s commitment to our nation’s heroes is unwavering.” It’s a kind of commitment that’s demonstrated in the lacking care at the VA for the aging vets that fought in World War II and Korea and the ones that have come home from Iraq and Afghanistan. It’s the kind of commitment that led to the shuttering of the World War II Memorial during the 2013 sequestration, just so Obama could make a political point. They say a picture is worth 1,000 words.
