Top of the Fold

  • Americans’ trust in government and cultural institutions eroding: Just 33% of Americans have confidence in the government and the nation’s cultural institutions, a recent Gallup survey found. Of 16 institutions that included things like banks and Big Tech, just three of them garnered at least 50% of the public’s trust last year, and those three were small businesses, the military, and the police. The primary reason for this growing lack of trust has to do with these institutions’ failure to live up to their promises. Few Americans (16%) trust TV news, and fewer still have confidence in Congress. When the public feels that it is being manipulated and lied to in order to be controlled, it’s no wonder the near priceless commodity of trust is lost.

  • Mike Lindell de-banked: One of Donald Trump’s biggest supporters and the founder and owner of MyPillow, Mike Lindell, has been given the boot by his banks, Heartland Financial and Minnesota Bank and Trust, due to his being considered a “reputation risk.” Lindell explained that the banks gave him 30 days to close multiple accounts. “I’m not leaving, so you’re going to have to throw me out of your bank,” he responded before asking, “Where does it end everybody? Where does it end when they’re de-banking?” One of the biggest proponents of Trump’s “stolen election” claims, Lindell has become a popular target of the Left. Irrespective of his views, the notion that banks could simply de-bank individuals over objections to political views is deeply concerning and un-American.

  • Epstein’s lawyer tried to hide Clinton’s “Pedo Island” trips: As Hillary Clinton was actively engaged in her second bid for the White House in 2016, Jeffery Epstein’s lawyer, Darren Indyke, was busy working to cover up any evidence of Bill Clinton having visited Epstein’s private Caribbean island. According to a Daily Mail source, Indyke contacted the couple managing the island to state that they never saw Clinton visit the island and were unaware of him ever doing so. “It was during the 2016 presidential campaign which was won by Trump,” the source claimed. “There was a worry that the link between Epstein and Clinton and in particular the island could be used against Hillary.” Clinton has denied ever being on the island, though flight logs show that Bill was a passenger on Epstein’s private plane some 26 times between 2002 and 2003, and Virginia Roberts, the woman at the heart of the scandal connecting Britain’s Prince Andrew with Epstein, has stated that Bill has indeed been on the island.
