The Patriot Post® · This Just In: Hunter Biden's Laptop 'Authenticated'

In a story about the scandals, corruption, and a federal tax and foreign-influence investigation of President Joe Biden’s wayward son Hunter, The New York Times begins by telling us that the younger Biden “paid off a significant tax liability” with a massive loan. The reason, the Times says, is that “juries and judges tend to be more sympathetic to defendants who have paid their bills.” But, the Times warns, “Biden’s taxes are just one element of the broader [Justice Department] investigation stemming from work he did around the world.” That would be the “work” he did peddling his father’s influence for big bucks.

“The investigation … began as a tax inquiry under the Obama administration,” the Times says, but it may now “include possible criminal violations of tax laws, as well as foreign lobbying and money laundering rules.” Gee, that sounds serious.

As the Times weaves the tale of Hunter’s travails, waaaay down in paragraph 24, the paper of record reports on some emails that it “obtained … from a cache of files that appears to have come from a laptop abandoned by Biden in a Delaware repair shop.” These emails, it then says, “were authenticated by people familiar with them and with the investigation.”

Hmm, has anyone heard of this mysterious laptop or these emails before?

As a matter of fact, Hunter’s lost laptop and incriminating emails were first discovered, reported, and authenticated by named sources in October 2020 by the nation’s oldest newspaper and the Times’s hometown rival — the New York Post. If your only source of news is the mainstream media, however, you didn’t know about that because the Post’s blockbuster was dutifully squelched by the Leftmedia and Big Tech censors. In fact, Twitter went so far as to shut down the Post’s account.

It was a team effort on behalf of the media’s preferred presidential candidate. Numerous Leftmedia outlets used or twisted the statements of U.S. intelligence officials to insist that the laptop story was “Russian disinformation.” Joe Biden himself called it “a bunch of garbage” and a “Russian plant.” That fake news was used by Big Tech as justification to censor any attempts to share actual news about Hunter’s corruption.

As for the Times, it had the chutzpah to mock President Donald Trump for using a presidential debate to launch into “a baroque mythology” about the Biden family that would utterly confuse Americans who’d never heard of such things. That’s rich, given the Times’s effort to avoid reporting on the news and informing those woefully ignorant Americans.

For the Times to now finally admit what we knew 17 long months ago — that the laptop is legitimate and the emails have been “authenticated” — is evidence of its gross and nefarious bias. Worse, as left-wing but independent journalist Glenn Greenwald writes, “[The] admission by The New York Times that this archive and the emails in it were real all along proves that a gigantic fraud was perpetrated by the country’s most powerful institutions.” And it happened for the second presidential election in a row.

It was not “Russian disinformation” to note that Hunter Biden, with no relevant experience whatsoever, was paid big bucks to sit on the board of a corrupt Moscow-aligned Ukrainian energy company called Burisma Holdings. “Hunter had multiple connections to Russian oligarchs in [Vladimir] Putin’s inner sanctum,” says the New York Post’s Miranda Devine.

It was not “Russian disinformation” to say that the real collusion with Russia happened on the part of Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton, not Donald Trump. (And that’s to say nothing of the Bidens’ collusion with China.)

Remember, the reason Hunter’s laptop and all those emails mattered was not because of Hunter Biden but because these corrupt and lucrative influence schemes hinged on the involvement and power of Joe “Big Guy” Biden. By the time the media finally got around to quietly admitting this was a legitimate story all along, it was far too late to inform voters of the truth about Biden family corruption.

Would Basement Joe Biden have defeated a wildly successful Donald Trump if the truth about the Biden family and Joe’s own corrupt abuse of power had been reported honestly? We’ll never know because the real disinformation campaign was waged by The New York Times and its Leftmedia and Big Tech cronies.
