The Foundation

"They are not to do anything they please to provide for the general welfare.... [G]iving a distinct and independent power to do any act they please which may be good for the Union, would render all the preceding and subsequent enumerations of power completely useless. It would reduce the whole instrument to a single phrase, that of instituting a Congress with power to do whatever would be for the good of the United States; and as they sole judges of the good or evil, it would be also a power to do whatever evil they please." --Thomas Jefferson

PelosiCare is not about compassion -- it's about control

For the Record

"Last Saturday [Nov. 7], at 11 o'clock in the evening, the House of Representatives voted by a five vote margin to have the federal government manage the health care of every American at a cost of $1 trillion dollars over the next ten years. For the first time in American history, if this bill becomes law, the Feds will force you to buy insurance you might not want, or may not need, or cannot afford. If you don't purchase what the government tells you to buy, if you don't do so when they tell you to do it, and if you don't buy just what they say is right for you, the government may fine you, prosecute you, and even put you in jail. Freedom of choice and control over your own body will be lost. The privacy of your communications and medical decision making with your physician will be gone. More of your hard earned dollars will be at the disposal of federal bureaucrats. It was not supposed to be this way. We elect the government. It works for us. How did it get so removed, so unbridled, so arrogant that it can tell us how to live our personal lives? Evil rarely comes upon us all at once, and liberty is rarely lost in one stroke. It happens gradually, over the years and decades and even centuries. A little stretch here, a cave in there, powers are slowly taken from the states and the people and before you know it, we have one big monster government that recognizes no restraint on its ability to tell us how to live." --Judge Andrew Napolitano

Liberty

"Speaker [Nancy] Pelosi's constitutional contempt, perhaps ignorance, is representative of the majority of members of both the House and the Senate. Their comfort in that ignorance and constitutional contempt, and how readily they articulate it, should be worrisome for every single American. It's not a matter of whether you are for or against Congress' health care proposals. It's not a matter of whether you're liberal or conservative, black or white, male or female, Democrat or Republican or member of any other group. It's a matter of whether we are going to remain a relatively free people or permit the insidious encroachment on our liberties to continue. ... In each new session of Congress since 1995, John Shadegg, R-Ariz.,) has introduced the Enumerated Powers Act, a measure 'To require Congress to specify the source of authority under the United States Constitution for the enactment of laws, and for other purposes.' The highest number of co-sponsors it has ever had in the House of Representatives is 54 and it has never had co-sponsors in the Senate until this year, when 22 senators signed up. The fact that less than 15 percent of the Congress supports such a measure demonstrates the kind of contempt our elected representatives have for the rules of the game -- our Constitution. If you asked the questions: Which way is our nation heading, tiny steps at a time? Are we headed toward more liberty, or are we headed toward greater government control over our lives? I think the answer is unambiguously the latter -- more government control over our lives." --economist Walter E. Williams

The Gipper

"The difference between the path toward greater freedom or bigger government is the difference between success and failure; between opportunity and coercion; between faith in a glorious future and fear of mediocrity and despair; between respecting people as adults, each with a spark of greatness, and treating them as helpless children to be forever dependent; between a drab, materialistic world where Big Brother rules by promises to special interest groups, and a world of adventure where everyday people set their sights on impossible dreams, distant stars, and the Kingdom of God. We have the true message of hope for America." --Ronald Reagan

Political Futures

"Barack Obama told the House Democratic Caucus before the roll call vote on health care on Nov. 7 that they would be better off politically if they passed the bill than if they let it fail. Bill Clinton speaking to the Senate Democrats' lunch on Nov. 10 cited his party's big losses in 1994 after Congress failed to pass his health care legislation as evidence that Democrats would suffer more from failure to pass a bill than from disaffection with a bill that was signed into law. These were closed meetings, but we can safely assume that the two Democratic presidents also assured their fellow partisans that health care legislation would do all sorts of good things for the American people. We know Obama did say that Democrats should 'answer the call of history,' even though America has gotten along pretty well without government-run health insurance for some 220 years. But political calculations are always on politicians' minds. The two presidents were urging passage of legislation that has become increasingly unpopular as its provisions become more widely known. They were speaking at a time when Gallup tells us that only 47 percent of Americans think providing health insurance is a government responsibility, down from 69 percent just two years ago. So despite their assurances, it's unclear whether Democrats will be better off passing a bill or seeing one fail. In political discourse, it's often assumed that there is some clear path to a favorable outcome. But sometimes both paths lead down." --political analyst Michael Barone

Government

"As an American, I am embarrassed that the U.S. House of Representatives has 220 members who actually believe the government can successfully centrally plan the medical and insurance industries. I'm embarrassed that my representatives think that government can subsidize the consumption of medical care without increasing the budget deficit or interfering with free choice. It's a triumph of mindless wishful thinking over logic and experience. The 1,990-page bill is breathtaking in its bone-headed audacity. The notion that a small group of politicians can know enough to design something so complex and so personal is astounding. That they were advised by 'experts' means nothing since no one is expert enough to do that. There are too many tradeoffs faced by unique individuals with infinitely varying needs. Government cannot do simple things efficiently. The bureaucrats struggle to count votes correctly. They give subsidized loans to 'homeowners' who turn out to be 4-year-olds. Yet congressmen want government to manage our medicine and insurance." --columnist John Stossel

Re: The Left

"In the late 1930s, the noted economist Friedrich Von Hayek wrote his landmark pamphlet 'Road to Serfdom,' laying bare the diseased skeleton of socialist/utopian thought that had permeated academia and the salons of his day. With an economy of words that showcased the significance of his conclusion, he pointed out the Achilles heel of collectivist dogma: for a planned economy to succeed, there must be central planners, who by necessity will insist on universal commitment to their plan. How do you attain total commitment to a goal from a free people? Well, you don't. Some percentage will always disagree, even if only for the sake of being contrary or out of a desire to be left alone. When considering a program as comprehensive as a government-planned economy, there are undoubtedly countless points of contention, such as how we will choose the planners, how we will order our priorities when assigning them importance within the plan, how we will allocate resources when competing interests have legitimate claims, who will make these decisions, and perhaps more pertinent to our discussion, how those decisions will be enforced. A rift forming on even one of these issues is enough to bring the gears of this progressive endeavor grinding to a halt. This fatal flaw in the collectivist design cannot be reengineered. It is an error so critical that the entire ideology must be scrapped." --columnist Joe Herring

Opinion in Brief

"One word aptly describes Ft. Hood mass murderer Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan: traitor. Traitor is a tough word. It doesn't smudge and squish. 'Traitor' draws a hard line, one that sharply divides essential life-determining values and marks a defining personal choice between the profound and the profane. There is no question that the accusation of treason, like accusations involving its kin terms sedition and betrayal, has been grossly abused. Self-styled mainstream journalists with no regard for the awful moral weight and terrible consequences of the actual act of sedition heedlessly employ the accusation as a word weapon to thwart discomfiting political criticism. ... With Hasan, however, we move well beyond accusation. Hasan committed an act of treason. Count the bodies, dead and wounded, for they are harsh facts, and they are the consequences. ... Since Hasan survived, we may hear from him about his journey from medical officer to jihadi. His own explanations -- whether glandular, psychological, theological or political theatrical -- will intrigue many, particularly in the chitchat media already fretting over his identity crisis, but they will not raise the dead, comfort the grieving or satisfy fellow soldiers he betrayed." --columnist Austin Bay

Culture

"Nidal Malik Hasan, was unimpressed by our diversity. In fact, it may have been diversity that set him off. Hasan and other Muslim extremists don't practice diversity. They mostly practice Sharia law, which backlashes against anyone who won't submit to their fundamentalist view of the world. ... Why do so many American leaders seem ashamed and apologetic about America? Holding to the view that America is unexceptional and that no idea, policy, belief, or practice is to be preferred over any other is not diversity. Rather, it is thin gruel; unappealing and unappetizing, and it robs us of our strength. Did diversity build and sustain America through world wars and economic challenges? No, it was a firm set of principles held by patriots of many races who were willing to pay the price in money and blood. These days, we seem to be increasingly confronted with people who are the political equivalent of shoplifters: they want the benefits without paying the price. ... I grow weary of having to tolerate everything when none of those making such demands seem willing to tolerate much of what I believe. Shouldn't diversity be a two-way street instead of a roadblock?" --columnist Cal Thomas

"With the passage of the health care legislation I will finally get my health care for free. President Eisenhower explained it clearly: If you want total security, go to prison. There you're fed, clothed, given medical care and so on. The only thing lacking ... is freedom. I will willingly turn myself in to the authorities and go to jail. Free housing, free food, free clothes, free health care. I'll just read The Patriot Post all day! Is there a provision in the legislation to build more jails and prisons? In a Ghandi-inspired protest, we should simply overwhelm our law enforcement agencies, courts and prison systems by saying, 'I am not buying your required health insurance and I am here to turn myself in!'" --Neal

"It is with pride and honor to once again contribute as a patriot to fellow patriots who keep the flame of freedom alive. I am proud to be counted among those who have protected America with our hands and service. I am equally proud to be able to continue to serve with the financial gifts that living as a FREE American has allowed me to earn." --Mark from Akron, Ohio

"I know there is a team behind The Patriot Post because all I see and read here cannot be done without a very strong team and a leader that cares. My blood flows Red, White and Blue. I've never had the honor of serving my country but I love the men and women who fight for and defend a free America. Thanks for allowing me to help behind the scenes. May God continue to allow The Patriot voice to be heard and read for a very long time." --A fellow American Patriot

The Last Word

"The American people are hearing a call to arms -- not literal arms, for our system can self correct. But we have to out-organize and out-pressure the Left. They have called us 'the enemy' ever since Alinsky's little book radicalized the revolutionaries of the Boomer Left after the violent revolutionary groups were readily suppressed. When somebody really considers you their enemy you have no choice. Either you return the compliment, or you get overwhelmed by the new Chicago Mob in D.C. The Left has shown how to fight from a position of the minority and win. American conservatives by a recent poll have a two-to-one majority. They are constantly undermined by the political Left: Ridiculed in the media, demeaned in the schools and universities, out-maneuvered in politics at the state and national level by Leftists who are far nastier and far more ruthless than ordinary, decent Americans. This is a struggle for the country. We need to toughen up." --columnist James Lewis

Thank you for correctly referring to Hasan as "mass murderer" rather than as "alleged mass murderer". I am so tired of seeing that word "alleged" in front of every description of him. The 14 dead are not allegedly dead but are in fact dead. The numerous other victims were not allegedly shot, but are in fact recovering from gunshot wounds. Why our cowardly media, so quick to eaglerly report lies as if they were facts when carrying water for the DNC, cannot refer to him simply as "shooter" rather than "alleged shooter" is beyond me, and it infuriates me. Thanks again for being a ray of light in the media darkness.

Really Annoyed

I am about to file a Motion to Force Constitutional Government on my town. We are A REPUBLIC, and I am Really Annoyed, more so as time goes on, that this Oligarchy thinks it can Dictate to us. Article 4, section 4 guarantees to every Citizen the Republic form of Government. Read St, George Tuckers letter to George Mason (1786) stating the duties of the elected in a Republic.

We need Lots more Notice and Demands, and outright law-suits about this. We Tell Them! AMEN!

I almost fainted, when in this brief you included 2 libertarian minded conservatives, Judge Andrew Napolitano and John Stossel. "If you examine it, I believe the very heart and soul of conservatism is libertarianism" -- Ronald Reagan. The "R" party has forgotten Taft and Goldwater, and I predict it will continue to be left in the dust until they do so. I can only hope. If you were to include Ron Paul, I would read every brief.

More and more citizens are beginning to respond to the call of those who want a return to the Rule of Law under our Constitution. They are shouting and waving their arms, but without a central rallying point to provide a focus and a means to demonstrate that this is not an isolated group of "tea baggers" as they are demeaned by many politicians including our President. Sure, an election provides an opportunity to "throw the bums out", but how to replace them with Patriots and not just another group of "bums" who then feather their own nest.

James Lewis has said in today's posting what millions of Americans are thinking today, that me must toughen up and plaqy hard ball just like the anarchist in the left wing of politics. Their methods are making people realize that their goals are the destruction of 225 years of democracy and that we must strike back with a concerted effort to cast out those destructive forces that hold power in government and other political institutions here in the U.S.

You published a comment from a reader named Neal: 'I am not buying your required health insurance and I am here to turn myself in!' His sentiment is correct, but his approach is mistaken. Indeed, we must not be compelled to buy clearly unconstitutional "health care" against our wishes. Yet, it is NOT our duty to "respect" illegal Congressional mandates by volunteering for consequences. If "they" are determined to throw me in jail for failure to comply, then "they" will have come get me. Good luck!

Isn't it incredible that the Obama group wants to free dozens of terrorists from Gitmo, but mandates in their healthcare plan that Americans will be fined and/or imprisoned if we do not follow their insurance mandates. Unfortunately, this is but one anti American piece of legislation coming out of Washington these days. Ironically, all this "care" about our health will destroy America on many levels. For those of you who do care, don't miss out on the opportunity to call your representatives and tell them how you feel about it; while you still have a voice.

The Constitution requires that a person accused of a crime be presumed innocent until proved guilty. Dictatorships generally assume the opposite.

Congress in its health care bills starts with the premise that people who do not have health care insurance will certainly steal from hospital emergency rooms, and penalizes them accordingly. Congress proposes an innovation in tyranny: it presumes people guilty before the crime has been committed!

This is not far removed from the legendary communist government thug who said of a man he arrested, "I don't know what he's guilty of. I just know he's guilty."

I agree with columnist James Lewis in that it is time to toughen up and it is time to struggle with our opponents politically and not physically. But it is also time to begin a discussion that we should never have had to have in this country. That is under what circumstances do we the people make the final check and balance and physically depose a corrupt government? I am not saying throw out the Constitution. The Constitution will be what we will be fighting for, but at exactly what point will it become necessary to take up arms? And don't believe that it cannot come. Germany of the 1920's had a constitutional government elected by the people, but by the mid 30's they had a dictatorship run by evil. We must not wait to have the discussion until we have past the point where the country could have been saved.

I think I have found the silver lining to the atrocious health [sic] care plans being foisted on the American public. Simply, ObamaCare/PelosiCare should so thoroughly ruin our great country that immigration, legal and illegal, will drastically decrease, if not reverse. Is this how great countries die?

Always a great and informative read. One exception I note is the use of the word "democratic" by all writers of the various columns in denoting democRATS elected or otherwise. The democRAT party and elected democRATS are nowhere near democratic.

Use of the (ic) was heavily promoted by them and their willing accomplices in the media during the last election cycle. Again, there is nothing democratic about these people. It is their way or else!

We have all seen the images of "osama obama" bowing to various individuals of so-called "royalty" over the past few months. What this demonstrates above all, is not that this once great nation is now subservient to so-called "royalty", but that without question "osama obama" is not fit to occupy the office which he and the demagogues now lay siege.

We also know that "osama obama" prefers bowing to "royalty" above displaying the remotest amount of respect to those who have and are fighting to keep this nation free.

He is right except for one thing: We should overwhelm our law enforcement agencies, courts and federal bureocracies by saying, "I am not buying your required health insurance and I WILL NOT GO TO JAIL!"

If hundreds of thousands of Americans refuse to be imprisoned for excercising their own free choice AND FIGHT THIS TOOTH AND NAIL IN THE COURTS as an unconstitutional intervention into our lives, the government will be UNABLE to handle this revolution and it will make the Boston Tea Party look like a child's fantasy party in comparison.

Why can we not seem to get the idea that those that are in Washington need to be kicked out of office? We need to get together and get recall elections going and remove them from office, each of these people took an oath of office and most of them have sense turned their collective backs on that oath, the oath was to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies both foreign and domestic and they have become the domestic enemies of said document. Whether we like to admit it or not this is being a traitor as they have been and are still trying to destroy our country and what it stands for, it is time that we stood up and re-instituted the values that this country was founded upon and and put this country back where we are supposed to be so that our children and grand-children have a prosperity that was left to us by our forefathers.

Sense when have we become a Democracy we are a Republic and have a republican form of government, this is demonstrated by the fact that we have an electoral college instead of your vote counting directly for the president, also by the fact that when the health care vote came up you were not contacted by your representative to get your input as would happen in a true democracy such as Athens was were every vote of every person was counted before a law was passed. This is a Republic where your are supposed to be represented by a person that votes according to your will, have you been represented or are your ideas being put forth? If so then you have no problems and you feel represented otherwise you are being taken for a ride. Recall the lot and take back control before it is to late.

The excerpt by James Lewis about this nation being 2 to 1, conservatives to liberal and talks about how the left is manhandling the conservatives. What he did not mention is that the supposed conservative party, the republican party, has lost its drive to fight liberalism. Worse yet, the party has decided to adopt many of the liberal views over the years and lost a base. We cannot afford to break the party into two factions. (Does Ross Perot ring a bell?) Rather the party leadership needs to be removed in favor of others who don't beleive what they hear from news reporters about what conservatives should do. It is simple. Be a conservative and follow conservative prinicples. It worked ok for Ronald Reagan's reelection!

Jim Battistoni

Just had an idea on how to beat Congress. They are focused and operate from a position of "What's in it for me --- how do I get the money?"

Ok, here is the deal, we each take the $8500 (if every man, woman, and child does it a great sum of money) that Obama and his friends have provided (through our tax dollars) for the purchase of a house and we use the money to buy "The House". Since they no longer recognize they work for us and only provide assistance to those that further their individual greed, we appeal to that vice.

Since we are now "contributors" to their campaigns and avarice they should respond to our demands. In the long run it will be cheaper to buy them off than to suffer the taxation and restrictions they will impose on us if we don't "play their game".

After we pay them off we turn ourselves in to the Justice Department. We turn state's evidence and cut a deal for no punishment in return for our testimony against the members of Congress that took the money.

In to today's upside world of right and wrong it just might work. After all it is illogical, dishonest, and screwball, just the thing that mainstream media should consider the right thing to do.

So go to your nearest ACORN office and start filling out those forms. Be sure and tell them you have no intention of really buying a house but intend to use the money to support those that provide funds to ACORN. They will bend over backwards to assist when they find out there is money in the deal and it is dishonest.

If you can't beat them --- join them.

My only regret regarding my donation to the Post is that I only have so much money to give. Likewise, my only regret with leaving a comment is that I only have so much space! Suffice it to say, The Patriot is the best part of my week. Thank you for your efforts to protect our Constitution!

(Just a thought, perhaps Mr. Alexander might write a defense of the ROTC program in our Universities - especially private universities. I hear the left shamelessly trash our ROTC students daily.)

For the humor post tomorrow:

This just in from Washington, D.C.: The Supreme Court has ruled there will be no Nativity scene this year in the nation's capital. The ruling was not based on any religious principle, however. The problem stems from the inability of Nativity organizers to locate three wise men anywhere in the city. The search for a virgin continues.

On the bright side, there has been no problem finding enough donkeys to fill the stables.

While I strongly support the Patriot Post, I cannot support it financially. I do have one comment regarding the Health Care Bill, if it is such a great bill, then why doesn't the President and all his cohorts get it also? I am only interested if all the other people get it and don't have any language to exclude them from getting health care also!

44% of Congress are millionaires(CH#9news@9 Los Angeles) The only way we are going to get the attention of these "Potomac-ers" is to insist that they cut their salary, staff, staff salaries & perks by 15% NOW. This was done in the great depression(The Forgotten Man, Amity Shlaes)These EMPLOYEES forget who they are accountable to when they leave America & cross the river into the land of the "Potomac-ers" Tell your friends, relatives & neighbors 15% Down Now! Otherwise they will give us what they think we should have while they feather the nests ewe pay for.

Agree with much of what I have read here. However, on the issue of making it illegal not to have medical insurance I find the comments problematical. We mandate that people must have auto insurance because if one does not then one is leaving it open for another party to be injured without regress. Similarly we dont want the at fault driver to be getting his injuries taken care of by another party without having auto insurance medical to pay. If people do not have medical insurance then they end up in thehospital ER at the tax payers expense or private insurance picks up the

torch since charity at the hospital needs some place to go to make up for the revenue. Additionally, public insurance pays for those who many times simply have their own resources but refuse to fund them like those that refuse to drive with auto insurance. I know a woman who is related to a prominent national politician whose family bank rolls her dinners out pedicures and the like but she does not purchase private insurance.

I would like to see the attempt of any official, to try and enforce this upon my family, or my friends, and neighbors, who also do not agree to this.

I cannot picture any TRUE law enforcement official, that would even agree, with trying to enforce this supposed "law".

Why are Republicans so like lambs to slaughter? Norm Coleman is the best example of Democrat amoral effort to corrupt the voting system. It's really hard to be be conservative, i.e. honest, upright, considerate, and fight the Dems who obviously feel that their ends justify their means. How do we hew to our honesty and fight the cheaters?

The assumption made with government healthcare is that we will all go along with it. I am reminded of the Stamp Act and other "Acts" that patriots decided they could NOT go along with. And they were willing to pay the price of that disobedience. The same principle applies here: I will not go along with participating with government healthcare. I will be fined. I will not pay the fine. I will go to jail...if millions of Americans do this, what is the government to do? Put us all in jail?

Nothing will happen to the thug at Ft Hood, because he is muslim. Why is the mastermind of 9/11 being tried in a civilian court , instead of a Military court,m because he, too ,is muslim, as is the leader of our Country. Look at the asses Obama has kjssed up to and how he has put down our American beliefs and ideals. We are a Christian country( not muslim ) and even though our congress and president seem to ignore this, we have a Constitution ! Congress works FOR US. Remind them on election day.

Obama outlawed the word "Terrorist", so he won't use it to describe the Jihadist massacre at Ft. Hood. Also, he would figure the shrink-assassin couldn't be a terrorist; he wasn't wearing a body bomb.

Yesterday, a reader named Neil wrote the following:

I've been doing a lot of thinking about this kind of thing lately. Mostly it is a very funny suggestion, amusing but with a purpose. But the truth is that going to jail in this way is the only way to send something to the supreme court to be judged as constitutional or not. (Honestly, part of me is fearful of what the Supreme court would determine anyway...) But I think that so many other Constitution-loving Americans like myself that believe it is unconstitutional and that might consider making a real stand against it, won't. We won't because we are raising families and running businesses and supporting the country in these ways that we feel that even if it were not terrifying to stand up and do something, it would also be irresponsible with so many people depending on us in our current capacities. So much more of the far left works the system without the inconvenience and burden of feeling responsible for a family to take care of or a business to run.

But, really, what can any of us do without sacrificing everything?

You, Sir, are an American. How blessed the people must be, who are on the list in this post to have YOU in their midst. You are asserting your God- given rights and you can look for all Heaven to assist you. Our Fathers looked to Heaven to vindicate their righteous position and He did, so will it be with you.

"Righteousness exaltheth a Nation, But sin is a reproach to any people." Proverbs 14:34

As Davey Crockett, Tennessee, said, "Be sure your right and go ahead." The Spirit of Tennessee and the Constitution of Tennessee salute you. Tennessee Constitution, Article I, Section 2, "That government being instituted for the common benefit, the doctrine of nonresistance against ARBITRARY POWER and oppression is absurd, slavish, and destructive of the good and happiness of mankind."

Well Done, Sir, God Bless you.

General John J Pershing aka Black Jack of the

10th US Cavalry(think diversity), knew how to handle Jihadists such as Major Hasan. After

execution by firing squad, bury the Jihadist in a

pig skin. Make sure the word of the burial reaches the other Jihadists (Moro warriors): no Virgins,

no Paradise, only the eternal fires of Hell await.

I have thought about Neal's idea before he published his on the PP. If only 5% of each community gave up their job, which forfeits tax dollars, and turned himself over to the prison system, the combined dollar amounts would hit congress awfully hard in the wallet. Also, when you add the cost of litigation and additional prison facility costs to house all of these new "criminals", it would completely flood the system. We just need 5% to commit to quit...I'm willing if you are. :)

James Lewis' remarks in "The Last Word" on 11/16/009 are right on the money with one exception.

As a former Chicagoan now living in a Red State, the idea that Obama is part of a "Chicago Mob" is incorrect. Yes, Chicago style politics have always been about things such as patronage, payoffs and running the city like, well, Chicago.

But, Obama is NOT a Chicagoan. He is someone who simply lived there while cutting his teeth as an activist and getting himself thrust into the national limelight. Obama-style politics is Marxism, pure and simple.

Unfortunately, Chicago is sometimes viewed in a negative light. Please don't insult it by implying a connection with Obama.

Indeed, the 21st Century American Revolution is

near at hand. In all humilty, I've been predicting

it for a very long time and now bloggers, the Patriot Post, T.V. pundits and even a couple of

'concerned' politicians are talking about a "tax

revolt" or a downright "insurrection". Well, my fellow Americans, perhaps it is time to re-read the first four paragraphs of the Declaration of Independence, for if you think a few constitutional liberties are currently, purposely being taken from us, then just wait, there's more to come. Our ultimate reaction to this leftist insanity may bespeak more than just our 1st and 2nd Amendment Rights.

So much for global warming (heating as some put it): The October 2009 average temperature for the contiguous United States was the third coolest on record for that month according to NOAA's State of the Climate report issued. Based on data going back to 1895, the monthly National Climatic Data Center analysis is part of the suite of climate services provided by NOAA. "I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God." A violation of that oath requires removal of office. As of two weeks ago, I can think of at least 220 people in our land who once again became guilty of, at a minimum, sedition. Where are the indictments???

I had an email from a friend saying while traveling home she saw a bumper sticker that really made her laugh. It said PRAY FOR OBAMA PSALM 109:8 "Let his days be few and another take his place" NAS Some of the other translations are just as good. I have prayed this for years and seen it work. I would rather pray, "Lord save him or move him out".

The push for healthcare reform is motivated by our current financial disaster from all government promises. Congress has promised Medicare, Medicaid, Prescription Drug, and Social Security services over the next 75 years that are underfunded by $88.6 trillion ($88,600 billion).

The public discussion is about the burden of $1 trillion ($1,000 billion) in extra taxes over 10 years. The true shortfall is 12 times as much, more than $1 trillion per year.

The Democratic "solution" to this political and economic problem is to put everyone into one medical care pot. We then all get equal amounts of services at whatever high tax rate the government can levy. The young must be coerced into this system, to extract as much money as possible to serve the old.

Our politicians want to obscure their part in this disaster. Or, at least delay the day of reckoning until they can leave office with more money. Even if this makes the eventual collapse much worse.

Obamacare Bails Out Medicare

Joke: We lose money on every patient, but we plan to make it up on volume.

I think this is funny, but ObamaCare thinks it is a plan.

My husband and I agree with Neal -- everyone should tell our law enforcers that they may just as well come and get us, because we are not going to "go along" with Obamacare. It will increase our taxes, decrease our health care, and WE DO NOT WANT THE GOVERNMENT TO TELL US HOW TO RUN OUR LIFE!!!!!!!
