Encouraging Words from Mark Alexander
The Real 2012 Election Map and the Right Road Forward
The Foundation
"I love the man that can smile in trouble, that can gather strength from distress, and grow brave by reflection. 'Tis the business of little minds to shrink, but he whose heart is firm, and whose conscience approves his conduct, will pursue his principles unto death." --Thomas Paine
Words of Encouragement
Patriots, our nation was dealt an awful body blow in the 2012 election, and the odds we face in our quest to restore Liberty and Rule of Law enshrined in our Declaration and Constitution may seem insurmountable. However, we can find strength and encouragement in the words from the most noble of Founding Patriots, George Washington.

In 1777, at a very dark moment amid a string of defeats in the first quest for Liberty -- and just before the fall of Philadelphia and the brutal Winter at Valley Forge, Washington wrote one of his generals: "We should never despair, our Situation before has been unpromising and has changed for the better, so I trust, it will again. If new difficulties arise, we must only put forth new Exertions and proportion our Efforts to the exigency of the times."
I also recall the words of Thomas Paine from his Revolutionary pamphlet, The American Crisis: "These are the times that try men's souls. The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of his country; but he that stands it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman."
When Samuel Adams signed the Declaration, he said, "We have this day restored the Sovereign to whom all men ought to be obedient. He reigns in heaven and from the rising to the setting of the sun, let His kingdom come."
Indeed, God is Sovereign in the affairs of men.
As for the challenges we face, faithful Patriots, hold fast to this wisdom from James 1:2-4: "Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything."
(Some among our Patriot ranks are not Christians, but we know your devotion to Liberty is strong. However, everyone on your Patriot team here is a devoted Christian, and the bottom line -- you can bank on our faith, even if you don't share it.)

Patriots, we have lost a battle -- but not the war. Hold your head high and redouble your courage and resolve. Remain steadfast in your devotion to Liberty and hold the line. As Paine wrote, "Tyranny, like hell, is not easily conquered; yet we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. ... I love the man that can smile in trouble, that can gather strength from distress, and grow brave by reflection. 'Tis the business of little minds to shrink, but he whose heart is firm, and whose conscience approves his conduct, will pursue his principles unto death."
It has taken generations for our nation to get into the ditch we are in now. There has been a great awakening among Patriots, and our ranks have grown rapidly in recent years. We have the right formula for restoration of our Constitution's integrity, but It will take more than a few election cycles to pull it out.
Our fight for the eternal cause of Liberty, as "endowed by our Creator," ends only with our last breath.
The Real 2012 Election Map and the Right Road Forward
This Election Map Tells the REAL Story. (NOTE: We have taken the Liberty to correct the colors as noted by the map color legend -- prior to 1988, election maps used these colors until the Leftmedia decided red for Democrats might tip their hand.)

This county-by-county election map clearly reveals what state election maps don't, and what Obama and his Leftist cadres do NOT want you to know.
The assault on Liberty we witnessed Tuesday was led, as in 2008, primarily by urban dwellers, most of whom reside on "government welfare plantations," and subsist on the spoils of what Obama calls "redistributive justice." That collectivist constituency now accounts for almost 50 (FIFTY) percent of Obama's voter base. Socialist Democrats have mastered the practice of co-opting (read: "buying") their allegiance and getting them to the polls. The good news, as noted previously, is that about nine million fewer Obama voters showed up in 2012.
These state dependents have little or no literacy or interest in social or civic responsibility, our Constitution, economy and free enterprise, or overarching issues such as the crushing national debt. The are largely uneducated, being the product of government schools. This enormous and growing constituency forms the foundation of Obama's Cloward–Piven strategy -- overloading the government welfare system to the point of crisis, requiring the replacement of that system with a state-directed national system of "guaranteed annual income and thus an end to poverty."
(Oh, did I mention that a county-by-county mapping of the 60 million+ Patriot gun owners looks a lot like the county-by-county election map?)
Next, we have a county-by-county election map with county size weighted according to the number of voters. It clearly and prophetically demonstrates how distorted the national political landscape becomes when controlled by a narrow majority of urban voters.

Let us remember that there are many fellow Patriots living within these urban centers, who endure much more oppressive and intrusive conditions than those of us living outside those areas. Most of them are deprived of the most basic constitutional right to even bear arms amid the social entropy of these urban poverty plantations.
Speaking of election maps, notice the nice lines for secession (Colorado, New Mexico and Virginia, you can join us). In 1860 our nation was divided much along the lines of division we see today. The irony is that then, the conflict was, ostensibly, over those enslaved on rural agricultural plantations. Now the assault on Liberty is led by those enslaved on urban government welfare plantations. I recall these words from fellow Tennessean Nathan Bedford Forrest on the Second War for Independence (as it was known in the South): "I loved the old government. I loved the old Constitution. I do not hate it; I am opposing now only the radical revolutionists who are trying to destroy it."
Election Results
Obama: 60.6 million or 50.4%. Romney: 57.8 million, 48.1%. Turnout was down 14 million votes and Obama received almost 10 million fewer votes than in 2008. Romney received two million fewer votes than McCain in 2008. Voter turnout of three Democrat constituencies -- black, Latino and 18-30-year-old voters -- greatly exceeded average turnout for these constituencies prior to 2008, and accounted for 6% of the popular vote -- which put Obama over the top. (Underestimating that turnout is why almost all major polling estimates were wrong.)
Women voters cast 53% of all votes, and this election set a gender-gap record (a 20% swing) with Obama's female support at 62% versus 42% male. The last record was an 18% swing in the 1984 landslide when Ronald Reagan won majorities of both men and women, but carried 78% of men and 60% of women. Of course, a majority of married women voted for Romney. Exit polls in key swing states won by Obama indicated that significantly fewer "faith voters" turned out.
As for the Left's thematic "Politics of Disparity" and Obama's class warfare rhetoric, those with incomes over $100,000 voted for Romney over Obama 54% to 44%, but notably, a majority of those with incomes between $50,000 and $100,000 also voted for Romney, 52% to 46%. On the other hand, those earning $50,000 a year or less voted 60% to 38% for Obama. Of course, the bulk of those voters are welfare captives who earn little or no income. So the middle class, the aspiring, and the successful went solidly against Obama, while lower-income voters overwhelmingly supported Obama, or at least the "free stuff" he promised them.
It is also wroth noting that Obama lost all states that require voter photo IDs. He won four states which accept non-photo IDs, such as utility bills and bank statements (Washington, Colorado, Ohio and Virginia). He won the states that require no voter IDs (Minnesota, New Mexico, Pennsylvania, Iowa, Wisconsin and Nevada).

Why was the color of the map changed in recent years? I remember well watching the elction returns and the Repubs being the blue and the Dems being red. Is it because the MSM doesn't want to be associated with the color of communism? Just thinking...

"Is it because the MSM doesn't want to be associated with the color of communism? Just thinking..."
Of course it's true. The original color scheme is why the term "Blue-Dog" Democrats came into our lexicon for Democrats who leaned moderate/conservative on issues. The term remains as I have not seen nor heard of any "Red-Dog" Democrats.
Our "Blue-Dog" retired this year. He was replaced by a young Republican. Arkansas's 4 House members are now all Republicans along with one Senator. The Arkansas House and Senate both went Republican last week. Governor Beebe is a two-term Democrat and will not be able to run in 2014.

Rush Limbaugh reports there were 59 precincts in Philadelphia with ZERO votes for Romney/Ryan. If you believe that's an honest election, you may be ready to buy the Brooklyn Bridge.
Time for the Blue Blockade to surround the meeting places of the Presidential Electors. See "Orange Revolution" for details.

Philadelphia, PA, the city of New Black Panther Party Polling Place intimidation. There was at least one at a precinct this time. Could it be that White Republicans in Philly, the persons threatened with ax handles last Presidential election cycle, remained at home and did not vote for Fear of bodily harm.

Why are people talking about secession only picking States to join in? Coloring the country red or blue by County still yields the same overwhelmingly conservative image as in the past. If our History comes to that, I propose a new nation called United Counties of America. Let every "Red" county send its most ardent Patriot to a Convention convened in Texas to Ratify the new Constitution of the UCA. Group them in Hundreds, Alphabetically instead of Geographically, so that the only issues at hand might be based in Principal instead of regional self interest. Organize the electoral college on the same lines, with a single vote for the elector chosen by each Hundred County Group. Keep the rest of the Constitution intact. Mandate that all other laws are to be null and void after 5 years and all laws passed subsequently by a majority must have a sunset after 5 years unless reaffirmed by a super majority.

My brother sent your column and election map to me We've both been devastated by the election results. I truly appreciate your column and the map. It tells a lot. I'm so grateful for your steadfast fight to keep us free and to expose the dark elements who would destroy the Republic. Thanks!

Another interesting map is that of Union vs Right-to-Work states. It is an almost exact copy of the recent electoral map. "Free" to work states voted for Romney, while Union states paid back Obama for giving them the Auto companies and the promise of card check.
Watch out for the next assault on liberty -- Card Check to kill off the Right-to-Work, a step toward controlled jobs for all of us. Then they will restrict and then confiscate your guns.

Ever seen deliverance? That's what happens when people live completely detached from the greater population. It also explains the cognitive dissonance of the republican base and why people who live in rural areas develope a selfish and deluded perception of reality and cult like obedience to the Republican Party, while those engaged in diversity, education, and science who partake in the greater social movements of the populous parts of America vote for progressive candidates.

I've seen "Deliverance." To claim that detachment is the only explanation for those who vote Republican is quite a stretch, and quite a generalization. And also quite untrue. While those living in rural areas 100 years ago could be considered detached, not so today. You have heard of the internet, have you not? Never before has a country been less "detached."
"people who live in rural areas develope a selfish and deluded perception of reality and cult like obedience to the Republican Party" I am curious about this comment. How can you have a "selfish" preception of reality? Does you mean that those on the right do not share their perception of reality? And you are saying that those enlightened folks on the left do not similarly vote democrat in a cult-like fashion?
Brian, have you even read the Constitution? I bet you don't have a hard copy in your house/aprtment/condo right now, do you? I have one in back pocket as I type this (thanks Mark!) Call it cult-like if you wish, but the reason we vote Republican is because there is a greater tendency for Repbulicans to honor this document than for a democrat. Like it or not, honoring this document in word and deed is what made this country great. It empowers the individual with the liberty to pursue their own happiness as defined by that indivdual which leads to improved well being for all involved. Straying from it is leading this country in the wrong direction, towards less liberty and declining well being. Case in point: Detroit. It has been a staunchly Democratic city for ages. Look where it is now. And they still vote Democrat! Why? Perhaps they have a "cult-like" belief that the government, eventually, will rescue them.

And where it's easier to pick up your EBT and welfare because you can't afford to have a nice car. And even if you could afford to have a nice car you can't drive because your driver's license is suspended because of your DUIs. And you wouldn't have a driver's license anyway because you couldn't possibly get one, because that's your reason for not having photo ID to vote.
The democrat/progressive/socialist/bolshevik party was just able to drag enough of same to vote in urban areas of swing states.

Your map isn't even close. There are several counties in NC that you have labeled as blue that I know we're red. And by population of the counties, had so many of them actually have been blue as you labeled, then how did the state of NC turn red in the electoral for Romney? It's the popular vote by state that leads to the electoral vote. NC was red cause the mad of the counties in NC were red. Get your facts straight you nimwhit!

Look at the map and the story is clear to see.
Socialist/Progressive/Liberal/Democrats (SPLD) crowd themselves into areas of limited employment and limited economic opportunity. They then demand that the government fix this for them.
Self reliant, productive members of society go to where there is opportunity and take advantage of it.
Liberalism is a consequence of over population and limited opportunity.

Thanks for clearing up the red/blue color scheme. Commies are reds and in Canada, the Liberal Party color was red and the Conservatives were blue. That makes sense. How did they get away with that? Oh! How could I ask?
