The Patriot Post® · Left-Wing Hate Is Out of Control
Think about the incident involving Larry Elder, the talk-show host-turned-gubernatorial candidate in the California recall election that will be resolved by the end of the day this is published. While many grassroots Patriots have heard about this incident, those who mistakenly rely on the so-called “news” media outlets that are really just public relations firms for the DNC and other left-wing groups to find out what is going on didn’t.
Just to understand how bad this double standard is, let’s flip the tables: Suppose it had been a masked person in a MAGA hat that threw an egg at Kamala Harris. How do you think CNN, MSNBC, The New York Times, and other outlets would have reacted? What preceded this incident? The Los Angeles Times claimed Elder was the “black face of white supremacy.”
Time after time, your Patriot Post team has documented the lengthy track record of left-wing hate speech and the equally lengthy failure of the GOP establishment to address it. These false accusations have been aimed at the GOP long before Donald Trump launched his 2016 campaign. Just ask John McCain, Paul Ryan, Sarah Palin, and Mitt Romney.
By the standards used to make Trump’s call for “peaceful protest” on January 6 an impeachment-worthy incitement, or to claim that his preferred term for COVID-19 was responsible for provoking violence against those of Asian descent, and by the standards that somehow made Palin responsible for the Tucson shooting that left several dead and Congresswoman Gabby Giffords with lasting injuries, the Los Angeles Times columnist is responsible for the attempted egging of Larry Elder and the assault on a member of Elder’s campaign staff.
But the same people who raced to condemn Trump and Palin on those phony claims act like false accusations of racism, smearing conservatives as Nazis, frivolous comparisons to ISIS and the Ku Klux Klan, and claims that repealing ObamaCare would kill tens of thousands didn’t motivate action on the Left.
We have to call BS on that due to a lengthy pattern of physical attacks, abuses of power, a host of double standards in multiple arenas, New York’s war on dissent, efforts to silence conservative media, and even the “fortification” of the 2020 election that speaks otherwise when it comes to the Left’s incendiary rhetoric, which includes a track record of threats from Maxine Waters.
To date, many of the Never-Trump types who cited “norms and standards” as the basis for their objection to Trump have been silent about this pattern (including the statements by Waters). Those who have spoken out have often been more upset by efforts to fight back, in essence calling for unilateral political disarmament.
In response to their silence, we will paraphrase the question posed by Dennis Prager in the heat of the recount battles after the 2020 election: How far would you go to defeat the White House bid of a white-supremacist Russian puppet whose supporters hunt black youth, throw Hispanic kids in cages, and drive LGBT teens to suicide while aiding and abetting the terroristic killing of children in our country’s schools? Would you be willing to do anything in your power to disenfranchise and marginalize said supporters?
Don’t take our word for these characterizations — just watch any show on CNN or MSNBC and listen to what the hosts and panelists say. The lies from the Left have consequences. In this case, the country got lucky, as the hateful rhetoric of the Left only resulted in some not-so-well-aimed eggs being thrown. If Larry Ender had been harmed, things would be much worse. If the rhetoric keeps up, something very difficult to extinguish could be sparked.
