Predictably, the mainstream media is boosting ad revenue on a “mass shooting at a teenager’s birthday party,” as even Fox News promoted it.

As the story was breaking, because the victims were black and the incident occurred in the small town of Dadeville, Alabama, rather than a Demo-controlled urban center where the vast majority of violence occurs, the Leftmedia talkingheads and scribes and their hate-hustlers were ramping up for a rare but sensational “hate crime.”

You know, like the hate crime murders of six people at a Nashville Christian school in March. Oh, wait, that tragic incident won’t be classified as a “hate crime” because the assailant was another gender-confused killer, and classifying her attack as “hate” would detract from the Democrats’ promotion of gender confusion.

Worse, it might also shed light on the culture of violence Demos have propagated for generations. Thus, they resorted to labeling it “gun violence.”

Similarly, when it became apparent that the Alabama assailant was also black, much to the disappointment of race-bait profiteers like the SPLC, which is headquartered right up the road from Dadeville in Montgomery, Alabama, the story lost steam. (As I have noted before, all murders are hate crimes.)

Thus, Demos will insist it’s a “gun problem” because they don’t want you to focus on the violent demographic committing those assaults — the offenders are primarily their constituents. (See: “Race and Violence: A Politically Inconvenient Truth.”) They will downgrade it, and the victims, to “gun violence” associated with a “mass shooting” in support of their gun confiscation agenda.

For the record, “mass shooting” is a term that was fabricated for effect by the so-called Gun Violence Archive, and it is repeatedly cited for effect by the MSM. What all those media “mass shooting” references don’t explain is that the vast majority of these incidents are drug and gang violence — thug life events. But, these are not “mass murders.” Moreover, in a nation of 330 million people, these incidents are very rare, but given the 24/7 wall-to-wall commercial media churn to sell advertising, it seems they are daily and next door.

In fact, the vast majority of violence today is directly tied to the cultural devolution resulting from decades of failed Democrat policies. That would include the surge of violence unleashed by Joe Biden and his Demos since 2020.

That surge was evident in Chicago last weekend when at least eight people were murdered. And Demos who refuse to recognize their constituents are the problem, was aptly demonstrated by the city’s incoming leftist mayor-elect Brandon Johnson’s response after a weekend of rioting. He insisted, “It is not constructive to demonize youth who have otherwise been starved of opportunities in their own communities. Meanwhile the city’s outgoing leftist mayor, Lori Lightfoot said of the riotous mayhem, it is "wrong, to say there’s ‘mayhem’.”

For his part, Joe Biden declared: “What has our nation come to when children cannot attend a birthday party without fear? When parents have to worry every time their kids walk out the door to school, to the movie theater, or to the park? Guns are the leading killer of children in America, and the numbers are rising — not declining. This is outrageous and unacceptable.”

Indeed it is. Yet guns are not “the leading killer of children in America”; gang and drug thugs are. And, of course, because he constantly politicizes the issues as a diversion from the real problem, “the numbers are rising — not declining.”

Back in the small town of Dadeville, CNN is holding on for a favorable advertising narrative, declaring that investigators are scrambling to find whoever “inexplicably killed” four people and injured many others, while not mentioning any description of the assailant. Of course, CNN also noted, “The US has suffered more than 160 mass shootings in the first 16 weeks of this year, according to the Gun Violence Archive,” again implying that there have been more than 160 incidents like that in Dadeville.

In fact, the assailant(s) may be among those listed as victims. Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Sgt. Jeremy Burkett said the assailant(s) are ‘no longer a threat to the community,’ implying they may be among the dead or wounded. In February of 2022, one of the dead, Corbin Holston, 23, was arrested in neighboring Coosa County for eluding, reckless endangerment, and possession of a handgun.

(Update: The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency announced six people have been arrested. Those charged were present at the party and “discharged firearms into the crowd.” Four were from Tuskegee: Johnny Letron Brown (20), Ty Reik McCullough (17), and Travis McCullough (16) a 15-year-old juvenile not identified. Two were from Auburn: Willie George Brown (19) and Wilson LaMar Hill (20). All six assailants are black.)

What is clear about that assault is, among the victims, there were good kids with promising futures, murdered in a thug gang dispute among their peers.

The small town’s mayor, Frank Goodman, said, “That was a scene, where we never had anything like this happen in our city before.” Of those hospitalized, he added: “We are praying for them. We ask God, if it’s his will, to bring them back to their parents safe, so they can mend.”

Indeed, let’s all do just that.

NOTE: The First Civil Right is To Keep and Bear Arms. It is, as James Madison’s Supreme Court Justice, Joseph Story, rightly defined it, “the palladium of the liberties of the republic,” the ultimate assurance of all other rights.

All defenders of American Liberty and its foundational guarantor, the Second Amendment, should be prepared to articulate and refute the rhetorical gun control agenda disinformation propagated by Democrats and their Leftmedia publicists.

Only law-abiding citizens abide by the law. Only outlaws perpetrate acts of violence. Making good people helpless won’t make bad people harmless.
