Friday Digest
Publishing Schedule
"If men of wisdom and knowledge, of moderation and temperance, of patience, fortitude and perseverance, of sobriety and true republican simplicity of manners, of zeal for the honour of the Supreme Being and the welfare of the commonwealth; if men possessed of these other excellent qualities are chosen to fill the seats of government, we may expect that our affairs will rest on a solid and permanent foundation." --Samuel Adams (1780)

Publisher's Note:
Independence Day fell midweek this year, which is when most of our editorial assignments are distributed for the week. This has been a particularly demanding year for your Patriot Team and, thus, I made the decision to give our staff and volunteer support personnel a much needed day off on Wednesday. That means the editing schedule for today's Digest was interrupted, but we will return to our regular publishing schedule Monday.
However, the boss did not take Wednesday off -- so if you missed it, read "The Imperial Executive."
We also invite you to visit our Patriot Headline Report for news and opinion that matters most.
Our editorial team evaluates hundreds of reputable news sources each day for key headlines that are relevant to Liberty. We post links to these headlines 24 hours a day on our Patriot Headline Report -- and we list these links in easy-to-scan topical categories, which we believe is a more useful arrangement than can be found on any other headline aggregator page.
We also invite you to help us produce the Heartland News section of the Report, where we identify important local media news that may not make the national syndicates. Please use our Heartland Suggest a Headline link next to the Heartland section to suggest news tips.
Of course, the Patriot Headline Report is both free of charge and free of advertising clutter, so it's always clean and easy to navigate. Our new Patriot site offers much more than our unique daily editions and archives -- it also has one of the most extensive Historic Documents pages on the Internet, and many other resources.
In addition to the day's top news, our editorial team evaluates and selects the nationally syndicated columnists whose essays represent the best conservative opinion on the Web. If you're looking for the Right commentary, you can find it every day at The Right Opinion.
Finally, fellow Patriots, you are our best promoters. The most effective method for reaching an ever-larger number of Americans with our weekly news and policy analysis is for you to introduce others to the messenger. Please share The Patriot Post with your family, friends and colleagues, and encourage them to subscribe. In this way, you can help us spread the flame of Liberty far and wide.
Thank you, Patriot, for all you do to support Liberty. The battle to sustain Liberty requires all of us doing our own part on the frontlines against rising tyranny, and we are proud to hold that line with you!

Keep up the good work and may God Bless you, your staff, and the work you are doing. I share the daily Founders' Quotes with several other people and I am encouraging them to join and support your efforts. We need true patriots like you to fight the attempted communist takeover in Washington. This includes those who call themselves both democrats and republicans. We need to return to our Federalist roots!

Mark, no apologies needed. You and your staff do not only a great job but you provide an analysis, second to none. I provide my Congress the Post from time to time and advise him that if you want to feel the pulse and mindset of your conservative constituents read the comments. As I told him,the American people are mad as hell.

Purposely did not donate to the cause, this time, to see if anyone would notice? I think you could boost contributions by treating past contributors as someone "special". This group might get a special email, instead of the generic one sent to everyone else. I just joined the Laissez Faire Book Club and they keep sending me emails that ask me to join the "club". Tells me that I am not really that important to them! With today's technology, I find it hard to believe that it would be hard to do this? I get many requests to donate every day....I used to sent $ to most until I figured out that I was "important" until I donated, then it is "Scott" who?

Scott,
Thank you for your past support of The Patriot Post. We did not send out a specific appeal to past donors this year (as we did last year) because many of our donors are listed under more than one email address in our system. Since our system tracks donations by email address, we found it caused a lot of confusion to send a "special" email to donors asking them to renew their support, when in many cases they had contributed under a separate email address.
Our donors are very important -- which is why we send a follow-up thank you confirmation, a thank-you gift by mail, a special card and postcard for Christmas and Independence Day (which I hope you received!), in addition to making consistent email contact throughout the year.
Hope this helps clear up any confusion. Thanks again for your support.

Hope all had a great day off to celebrate our countries birth. It was a good decision and well deserved.

Our Nations Birthday should be celebrated, not sold. I wouldn't patronize any business that stayed open on the 4th, having the wherewithall to shop for whatever I needed by Tuesday. You honor the country by taking the time off, and your publication is invaluable. I will continue to support your efforts, the check will be in the mail shortly. Well done, and I hope, for America's sake, your cause is part of a huge victory over Democrat imposed tyranny.

Hope you enjoy what little vacation you have had. Thanks for the info that you have given out it has been more than useful and has helped to open a few eyes out here in the desert.

I, too, say no need to apologize. Thank you so much -- all of you -- for all you do for little compensation. God bless you!
I first was aware and introduced to the Patriot Post at an eye clinic that I go to and I always have to wait hours to be seen. Someone had printed out an edition of the newsletter and I sat and read it while I waited. When I got home, I immediately subscribed.
Since then, when I have appointments at doctors or dentists or other medical offices, I print out a copy of the latest Patriot Post Newsletter and leave it in the waiting room. You'd be surprised how many people can be influenced by reading this!!
God bless, and keep up the good work. We must save our Republic!

I cannot understand how this person can get away with every thing he's done. No one seems to be able to see through him. I for one have become so afraid since he came to office, especially as a senior citizen. Why is it so hard to impeach him or bring him up on charges for breaking the laws of our Constitution.
On the fourth of July I had my flag spread over my window aware of the fact that no one in the other apartments did so. Has this country become such an unpatriotic do nothing people. This is the United States of America, yet one evil person is on his way trying to dis-unite us. I can only see him as a devil & I do hope that the people, as well as the politicians start standing up for our freedom.
My husband passed away in February. He served on the USS Saratoga. I have so much respect for service men & women. May God bless them all.
Thank you for listening

Mark, you and your staff do such a great job week after week, I don't think any Patriot will begrudge you and the staff the time off nor the disruption. I pray your Independence Day was filled with great celebration for what you, and all of us, are fighting to maintain...and regain! This year, I sat my family down before out fireworks display and read to them the full Declaration Of Independence. It had a profound effect. It'll become a staple every year just as the reading in the book of Luke of the account of our Savior's birth is read on Christmas Day. Thanks to all at The Patriot Post for your tireless efforts!
