Re: Swalwell: The Real Story Is the Cover-Up

“Excellent point on the collaborative cover-up — and that is the real story here, one of a corrupt Democrat Party and its MSM lemmings covering for their onetime golden boy, whom they have all propped up for decades.” —New York

“I will bet dollars to donuts that these ‘criminal investigations’ each gets resolved with no charges or repercussions. The corrupt prosecuting attorneys in Los Angeles and Manhattan will simply drop the cases.” —Arizona

“I see the power play — the Democrat Party is basically running on campaign funding fumes, having gone all in for Kamala in 2024 and then losing. Now it’s in debt. Dumping Swalwell for Steyer is a big-bucks ‘play for power.’ The billionaire is funding his own campaign (buying the office) with the ‘capitalist’ brokerage windfalls. So you see, Democrats think it’s a win-win. I pray Californians wake up!” —California

“The machinations of the Communist Party are on full display in the Democrat Party. One may lie, cheat, steal, rape, and even kill so long as it does not reflect directly on the party. Once a comrade embarrasses the party to the extent he is no longer useful, he is unceremoniously jettisoned and replaced with someone equally slimy but with better judgment and self-restraint.” —Kentucky

Re: Pulling Heartstrings About an Anchor Baby

“My grandparents were married in Slovakia. Their first son was born in Slovakia. My grandfather came to the U.S. alone. He came here, got a job, and earned enough money to be able to bring his family here. It took about two and a half years to do so. People didn’t get free stuff when they got off the boat. They had to earn their way and/or have a sponsor. When I read this article, I have very little to no sympathy for anyone who comes here illegally. Even worse is when they scheme ways to do so.” —Wisconsin

“We have laws that prevent criminals from profiting off their crimes. We need to get Congress to pass a law that says while a child may be an American citizen, the parents of the child who committed the crime of illegal entry may not later be sponsored or otherwise brought into the United States and thereby profit off their crime.” —Tennessee

Re: Fair Enough!

“The Left constantly tells us big corporations pay no taxes. That’s not true, of course, but why does the Left never complain about the 33% of us who pay no federal taxes? They are riding in the cart for free. They have no skin in the game. Yet they are ignored in the discussion of taxes.” —New Jersey

Re: Truth in Advertising

“Not only are the politicians showing us their best behavior in an election cycle, but the ones in office are also a problem. When a new person comes into office with the best of intentions, they are told what to do. If you don’t do it our way, you will never get anything done. They are defeated the minute they hit Washington, DC. Then there are the socialist liars who will do anything for power and a chance to become a career politician.” —Illinois

Re: Leftists Decry Money in Politics While Dems Spend Big

“One of the ‘remedies’ Democrats often propose for campaign finance reform is public financing of campaigns. This would put people like Lois Lerner in charge of determining who qualifies for campaign funding and the timing of the disbursement of funds. There is probably no more effective way to enable corruption of the civil service and reduce the relevance of elected officials. A far better way to reduce any corrupting influence of money in politics is to reduce the corrupting influence of politics on money. Strictly hold the government to its legitimate powers and no more. Then those with money have less to fear and less to buy there, and will put their funds to more economically beneficial uses.” —Minnesota

Re: Dems Trash Trump in Spain

“The fact that the United States is a Constitutional Republic means nothing to these [call them what they are] traitors. Subversion of the rights and laws that have upheld this Republic for 250 years is a major objective for these seditionists. At some point, we will need to call them to task for these activities.” —Massachusetts

Re: Leadership — The Real Thing

“The people who always resist anything that President Trump does may have a goal that does not align with our nation’s best interest. As evidence of outside funding for media events and even violent resistance, one has to consider the source of the resistance. China makes the front page of these groups, and if you follow the money to the contrary politicians, you will find a trail to our enemies. Their goal is our failure, and it seems easy to motivate weak politicians with money to work for them, and they know it.” —Washington

Re: Why Dems’ Election Prospects Look Good

“Honestly, I cannot relate to the Democrat mindset. Why support a party that will ultimately destroy our American way of life? Democrats openly say so. Hopefully, common sense will overcome a few nasty posts by DJT. My opinion is he is entitled to them for all that the Democrats have tried to do to him.” —Texas

Re: Sotomayor’s Racial Injustice

“This is what happens when people who see everything through the lens of racism/oppression allow that filter to blot out reason. Instead of superior legal intellects with decades of what we assume would entail intense study of case law applied to the Constitution, we wind up with a couple of DEI hires with garden-variety intellects (Sotomayor, Jackson) doing SCOTUS cosplay. And like Ginsberg, we’re stuck with them until they die in place.” —Oklahoma

Re: Clarence Thomas Torches Progressivism

“If POTUS could replace John Roberts as chief justice with Clarence Thomas, we could begin to reverse the damage that has been done to this country by the word ‘progressiveness.’ I, too, cannot think of a time in the 250-year history of this country where being ‘progressive’ ever turned out to be anything good.” —Florida

Re: Why AI Sounds Smart — And Why It Often Isn’t

“Superb article. Alan Turing, one of the founders of our present-day computer systems, discussed the concept of AI, a computer that could learn and improve its usefulness, in the early 1940s. The term ‘AI’ first appeared in tech journals in the 1950s. But now anything done by a computer is referred to as AI. It has become a hip buzzword. The article says of LLMs, ‘it is always trying to produce a likely-sounding answer, even when it lacks reliable information.’ So if AI is going to rule the world, the first thing to be replaced will be politicians and mainstream media.” —New Hampshire
