Anyone for Terrorist Profiling?

After All, Islamic Terrorists Are Profiling Us!

By Mark Alexander · Nov. 11, 2005

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) asserts that “Islamophobia” is the biggest obstacle to those relations. I beg to differ. I am sure that murdering American men, women and children is the biggest obstacle.

To ensure that Americans never offend the sensibilities of anti-Americans – particularly Islamic fanatics intent on killing us – the liberal establishment in Congress and the judiciary have established policies and rulings against “profiling,” evaluating people in public places or security checkpoints on the basis of a variety known factors associated with terrorists. Since 9/11, airport security screeners with the behemoth Transportation Security Administration perform random full body searches and scans on infants, disabled vets, 80-year-old grandmothers, active duty military personnel and other U.S. citizens with proper identification and no threat characteristics. But, according to the Left, targeting male Islamists between the ages 18 and 35, who fit terrorist profiles, would be unacceptable because it constitutes “ethnic profiling.”

However, this writer has walked perimeter gun public security details for two presidents and other dignitaries, and I can assure you that in those venues, profiling is the primary real-time method for identifying threats. My Secret Service, CIA, FBI and military colleagues in supervisory roles with presidential and other high-profile security details, tell me that they still rely on profiling as the last line of defense in public venues. Of course they do, and this is the same method of profiling that the TSA should be using for anyone approaching an airport or other security checkpoint.

The most targeted public transportation and airline network in the world, those in Israel, rely almost completely on profiling as their last line of defense – and with great success.

Let’s pause a moment and review a few representative samples of terrorism committed by adherents of the “religion of peace” against primarily civilian targets, to determine if profiling would be helpful:

Former President George Bush understood, “America is at war with Islamic fascists who will use any means to destroy those of us who love freedom, to hurt our nation.” The Council on American-Islamic Relations issued an immediate objection to the Bush’s reference to “Islamic fascists”. Nihad Awad, executive director of CAIR protested, “We have to isolate these individuals because there is nothing in the Koran or the Islamic faith that encourages people to be cruel or to be vicious or to be criminal. Muslims world wide know that for sure.”

In light of this objection, we are left to ponder why every Islamic leader in the U.S., and the world, does not publicly condemn every terror action being undertaken in the name of the god of Islam. Their silence is deafening…

Bush’s successor, Barack Hussein Obama, has made a practice of placating Islamic extremists while condemning Israel.

Between 1965 and the present, there were more than 250 other notable examples of terrorism perpetrated by male Islamists between the ages 17 and 40, but we think you get the point. Singling out “male Islamists between the ages 17 and 40” is not “ethnic profiling,” it’s “terrorist profiling” – acting on prolific evidence.

Anyone for Terrorist Profiling? After all, they are profiling us!
