When George W. Bush was president, Hillary Clinton insisted: “I am sick and tired of people who say that if you debate and you disagree with this administration, somehow you’re not patriotic! And we should stand up and say, ‘We’re Americans, and we have the right to debate and disagree with any administration!’”
Well, fast-forward to Joe Biden’s leftist regime. Biden has taken the official position that if you are a Patriot, someone who stands firm for the foundational principles of American Liberty, and particularly Patriots in uniform who understand those principles are core to their oaths “to support and defend” our Constitution, then you should be labeled an “extremist.”
In an Orwellian scheme, Biden is enlisting his BIG Tech enforcers to go after these Patriots. Never mind his violent and murderous constituencies, those Marxist Black Lives Matter radicals and his so-called “antifa movement” of self-styled “anti-fascist” fascists — get those Patriots!
Fact is, those Big Tech platforms have been redlining the First Amendment rights of patriotic Americans for years. But that suppression of Civil Rights went into high gear in the months ahead of the presidential election last year.
Under cover of the ChiCom Virus pandemic, the Demo collusion with their Leftmedia propagandists and their BigTech suppressors surged into every facet of free expression. Much as the Demos used the pandemic to implement their bulk-mail ballot fraud, they used this national crisis to justify the suppression of free speech under the auspices of so-called “fact-checkers.”
However, that suppression goes FAR beyond what they deemed “misinformation” regarding COVID treatment options.
This collective Demo/mainstream/social media collusion constituted the most massive and egregious assault on free speech in the history of our nation, and it continues to accelerate unabated. Now they are targeting grassroots American Patriots, our primary constituency.
To that end, last week, when asked how to identify extremists, CBS tech reporter Dan Patterson replied without hesitation, “One word to look out for, a key word, is ‘patriot.’” He added that other words extremists might reference are “thin blue line” and “deep state.”
The net result in terms of our advocacy for and outreach on behalf of Freedom and Liberty: After 25 years of year-over-year record growth, which increased dramatically on social media platforms since 2010, starting in June of 2020, Patriot Post incoming traffic from those platforms precipitously dropped by more than 80% — the direct result of shadow-banning and suppression of our reach on those platforms.
That deliberate and demonstrable suppression of our content necessitated a complete alteration of our marketing model over the last 12 months. As a result, our ranks continue to grow at a good pace.
But there is NO recourse for the violation of our Civil Rights because Republicans in Congress are too busy focusing on “cancel culture,” which is just the proverbial tip of the iceberg. Cancel culture is a much easier political soundbite, but it is only a minuscule part of the real First Amendment threat. The deliberate systemic suppression of conservative websites on social media platforms would make the old Soviet commissars of truth proud. Until Republicans get beyond the cancel culture soundbites, this suppression will continue unabated.
