An Episcopalian priestess named Flourish Klink, who identifies as a man and has the clerical title of “Father,” recently gave a sermon in which she not only claimed that God was nonbinary but also that Jesus was trans. After asserting that Mary assigned Jesus male at birth based on what she saw, Klink went on to declare that Jesus, following his resurrection, was transfigured to be like God... and because God is outside of gender, that somehow made Jesus transgender.

This heretical nonsense was quickly refuted by Christians who pointed out the clear references in Scripture. For example, the angel Gabriel announced to Mary in Luke 1 that she would “bear a son” and “call him Jesus.”

I will have more to say about Klink in tomorrow’s analysis, but suffice it to say, the backlash was swift. Klink’s biblical ramblings were exposed as flimsy attempts to justify her own sinful lifestyle.

While claims of this ilk are not particularly new, neither are they popular or universally accepted. This explains why James Talarico, the heretical Texas Senate hopeful who has peddled the “God is nonbinary” narrative in recent years, has since backtracked. Why? Because such heresy isn’t appealing to voters.

Gender ideology is an 80-20 issue. Most Americans view it as a crazy, dangerous cultish fad that is hurting individuals (particularly children) and society. Consequently, the issue is hitting Democrats hard all over the map. For example, Americans by and large don’t want little children consenting to a sex change when they aren’t yet capable of understanding the consequences of that choice.

Thankfully, 27 states have passed laws prohibiting “gender-affirming care” for minors, meaning kids in those states won’t be given cross-sex hormones, puberty blockers, or gender-mutilating surgeries.

President Donald Trump and the Department of Justice have successfully pressured six major children’s hospitals into ending the “gender affirmation” model of medical treatment for minors. Those hospitals are New York University Langone Hospitals, the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Mount Sinai Health System, Texas Children’s Hospital, the Cleveland Clinic, and Connecticut Children’s Hospital.

As part of a settlement, some of these hospitals have had to pay a combined $24 million, while others, like Texas Children’s, have set aside millions for detransitioner medical support.

These six hospitals are the only known ones — there may be more lawsuits that are not on the public radar. However, one other thing is clear: Gender pathology ideology is a medical liability, and hospitals are moving away from it. This doesn’t mean all U.S. hospitals share this mindset, but 27 states enacting laws protecting children and six major children’s hospitals capitulating send a clear message. Medically, the tide is turning on transing the kids, and Republicans are leading the charge.

It’s not just in the medical field either.

Remember the claim that the “transgender community” is particularly prone to being violently killed by bigots? Turns out that isn’t true. There is no transgender murder epidemic, and the number of deaths because of ideological differences is minuscule. Furthermore, those who identify as trans are far more likely to be murdered by their romantic partners than by opposers. This is what the Manhattan Institute discovered earlier this year, and it completely refutes the claims of the gender activists:

Transgender people are less likely to be murdered than the rest of the population, most transgender people are murdered by members of their own race, and intimate partner violence—not hate—is the leading identified motive for most such murders.

We examined what the record could actually confirm about suspects, motives, circumstances, and case outcomes. While every death is doubtless a tragedy, we think the evidence is clear: the “epidemic” narrative has no basis in reality. Continuing to point the finger of blame at white supremacy and hatred will do nothing to serve the transgender people whose lives are taken every year for different — and preventable — reasons.

Finally, the pièce de résistance is outrage over the current tally of how many medals have been stolen from women in competitive sports by gender-confused men. This tiny percentage of the population has stolen 2,293 medals and over $501,498 in prize money from professional women athletes (literally their livelihoods).

Concerned Women for America, the organization tracking these statistics, also found that this is such an important issue that over 69% of poll respondents said it is a voting priority. If politicians support men in women’s sports, they may forfeit these votes.

The gender cultists’ self-delusion is built on a sandy foundation — and that foundation is being eroded by the rising tide of reality and truth. They are losing the power granted them by the victimhood hierarchy. It’s been a long time coming, though it’s certainly not over yet — we are just in a receding tide. Hopefully, however, this ideology will get washed out to sea for good and be recorded in history as a warning to future generations.
