Student Fights for Constitutional Right
May sanity prevail.
We recently reported on a California college student who was prohibited from distributing Constitution books outside a student center – on Constitution Day! The young man was ordered by Modesto Junior College officials to cease and desist, since all distributions had to be approved in advance and moved to the “free speech zone.” That student is now pushing back. According to the Washington Free Beacon, Robert Van Tuinen “filed a lawsuit today in federal court against the college district for violating his First Amendment rights.” May sanity prevail.
