Barack Obama is enjoying yet another lavish vacation on Martha’s Vineyard, but not all of it will be spent on the golf course. Instead, the fundraiser in chief will take time out of his R&R schedule to host his 401st fundraising event since entering the Oval Office, “continuing his record-setting pace that has had him collecting checks from donors at events on average every five days since becoming president,” according to The Washington Examiner. The Republican National Committee notes, “In just six years, Obama has held 72 more fundraisers than George W. Bush hosted in all eight years as president. In his first term alone, Obama set the record for attending more fundraisers than any other president in modern history.” With pivotal midterms just around the corner and many Democrat incumbents looking at losing their jobs – and perhaps majority status in the Senate – look for this trend to worsen in the coming months.
