Well, that didn’t last long. On Friday, NBC News announced that it had hired former RNC Chairwoman Ronna Romney McDaniel to be a conservative voice on the network.
 
She was immediately savaged by the network’s leading hosts. Facing a major rebellion, NBC’s leadership reversed course and fired McDaniel Tuesday.
 
MSNBC has more neo-Marxist commentators than any media outlet since Pravda. It is the leading proponent of the idea that conservatives and Trump are threats to our democracy. It was also the leading promoter of election denial — the Russia collusion hoax.
 
Once again, it demonstrated its total disdain for the most foundational right we have — the freedom of speech. Without the freedom of speech, we don’t have freedom of religion. Without the freedom of speech, you don’t have a constitutional Republic because there is no free and open debate, exactly what the left wants.
 
The neo-Marxists who run MSNBC could not tolerate a single voice that might express an occasional conservative idea. This network also routinely censors the former president of the United States because they believe anything he says is a lie. So they cut off the broadcast whenever he speaks.
 
Meanwhile, they broadcast the left’s lies non-stop.
 
Unfortunately, they are not an outlier. They increasingly reflect the attitudes of the new left — the young, ill-liberal, so-called “progressives” who will not tolerate free speech on any university campus under any circumstances.
 
The left made serious efforts to shut down Trump rallies in 2016 and 2020. They put out fake studies claiming that hate crimes in a particular area went up after Trump rallies. It was totally bogus.
 
The overwhelming majority of New York Times columnists are far-left progressives. They’re so extreme that they have even driven out other liberals who were insufficiently Marxist.
 
The few so-called “conservatives” at the Times (and other major “lamestream media” outlets) are Trump-haters. So, anyone who reads the New York Times or watches MSNBC will never read or hear a conservative populist viewpoint.
 
I can’t say I’m disappointed in or surprised by MSNBC — it’s who they are.
 
My disappointment continues to be with McDaniel. She evidently did not realize that even under the best of circumstances she would only be a prop for their left-wing propaganda, and under the worst of circumstances she would be humiliated, as she just was.
 
And just consider who the last three RNC chairs have been. Michael Steele regularly goes on MSNBC to trash Trump and the GOP. Reince Priebus does his best to present conservative views. And then there is Ronna Romney McDaniel, who ran to MSNBC seemingly to say, “I’m not like the rest of those people.”
 
Once again, I am reminded of the word that kept coming up over and over again in the 2016 exit polls of conservative voters on how they felt about the Republican Party: “Betrayed.”
 
 
 
The Tolerance Trap
 
Speaking of words, the left has a favorite word it repeats over and over again: “tolerance.” Tolerance for this, tolerance for that. If you’re not tolerant, as the left defines it, you’re a bigot.
 
Clearly, the left’s “tolerance” argument is a trap meant to squelch free speech and shut us up. Once the left gets power through emotional appeals for “tolerance,” it immediately abandons tolerance.
 
They are, in fact, obsessed with the exact opposite of tolerance. The intolerant, totalitarian left wants to make our lives miserable. They’d really like us all thrown in jail, but barring that, they want us demoralized and hopeless.
 
That’s why Obama and Biden bathed the White House in the colors of the LGBTQ movement. It wasn’t to celebrate; it was to gloat, to spread despair, and to rub it in our faces. The message was: “This ain’t your country anymore. Get used to it.”
 
Here’s another example of the left’s “tolerance.”
 
Virginia was once a “purple” state. But it has moved further and further left in recent years, with the notable exception of Gov. Glenn Youngkin’s election.
 
One of the main reasons the whole state has moved left is because Fairfax County, one of the fastest-growing areas of Virginia, went from being modestly left-of-center to a “killing field” for Republican candidates.
 
The Fairfax County public schools, once considered among the best in the nation, are now riddled with left-wing ideology. Thomas Jefferson High School, a premier school devoted to math and science, now has a quota system for student admission — a goal completely contrary to developing an elite student body based on merit.
 
The county’s Board of Supervisors is dominated by leftists, with one old-line Republican. It just voted 9-to-0, with the Republican supervisor absent, to declare Easter Sunday “Transgender Day of Visibility,” a day to celebrate science denial and embrace delusions.
 
That’s what they want to do on the day Christians mark the resurrection of our Lord and Savior.
 
One Democrat supervisor praised the vote for showing how tolerant the county is by ensuring “that everybody who’s a part of our community feels welcomed, feels loved, and feels empowered.”
 
I doubt many Christians in Fairfax County feel welcomed, loved, and empowered right now. Does that sound like a group of people who are interested in tolerating diverse viewpoints, who believe in “Live and let live”? Of course not.
 
So, in Fairfax County, June is “Pride Month,” October is “LGBTQ History Month” in the schools, and now, on the day Christ rose from the dead, we’re supposed to affirm and embrace individuals with deep mental delusions or we’re not good people.
 
And I don’t even want to think about how many churches in Fairfax, already flying the LGBTQ flag of surrender, will spend this Sunday recognizing transgender people instead of recognizing what Christ did for us.
 
 
 
Off The Rails
 
Not surprisingly, the president of the United States wanted to comment on the catastrophic disaster in Baltimore, as he should.  But, once again, Joe Biden made it all about him. Speaking to the nation Tuesday, Biden said:
 
“About 1:30 AM, a container ship struck the Francis Scott Key Bridge, which I have been over many, many times, commuting from the state of Delaware by train or by car. I’ve been to Baltimore Harbor many times.”

While Americans believe our nation is on the wrong track, Joe Biden is clearly off the rails. Biden never traveled by train over the Francis Scott Key Bridge. There never were train tracks on the Francis Scott Key Bridge!
 
Meanwhile, according to the New York Times, Barack Obama is very worried that Joe Biden’s campaign is also on the wrong track, and with good reason. (Here and here.)
 
Obama has “grave concerns” that Biden could lose this November. So, Barack and Joe are speaking regularly. Mr. Obama is also making calls to top White House officials — I suppose just in case Joe forgets what they talked about — and to make it clear who’s really in charge.
 
 
 
Trump Fights For Faith
 
Former President Donald Trump has launched a partnership with Lee Greenwood to promote a “patriot-themed edition of the Bible — the God Bless the U.S.A. Bible.” This King James version of the Bible also includes the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and the Pledge of Allegiance. Those latter documents were all inspired by the Bible.
 
In announcing this new edition of the Bible on Truth Social Tuesday, President Trump clearly expressed his belief that if we want God to bless America, we must return to our Judeo-Christian values. Here’s some of what he said:
 
“Religion and Christianity are the biggest things missing from this country, and I truly believe that we need to bring them back, and we have to bring them back fast. I think it’s one of the biggest problems we have. That’s why our country is going haywire — we’ve lost religion in our country…
 
"Our Founding Fathers did a tremendous thing when they built America on Judeo-Christian values. Now that foundation is under attack, perhaps as never before.
 
"What can we do? Stand up, speak out, and pray that God will bless America again.”
