The Biden Justice Department is vehemently refusing to turn over audio of Special Counsel Robert Hur’s interview with Joe Biden.
 
Attorney General Merrick Garland missed Monday’s deadline to hand the audio over to congressional investigators. All the department provided was a transcript of Hur’s interview with Biden’s ghostwriter.
 
The stubborn refusal to comply with congressional subpoenas demonstrates the utter contempt this administration has for Congress and the rule of law.
 
Rep. James Comer, chairman of the House Oversight Committee, blasted the Justice Department’s continued evasion and stonewalling, saying:
 
“The Biden Administration does not get to determine what Congress needs and does not need for its oversight of the executive branch… Why shouldn’t the American people be able to hear the actual audio of his answers? The American people demand transparency from their leaders, not obstruction.”
 
Why are they digging in their heels since we already have the transcript, which by itself is very embarrassing for Biden?
 
Well, the audio would be even more revealing in terms of how Biden sounded and how long it took him to answer simple questions. Does he sound totally confused? And what would the average person conclude after hearing his voice in a very controlled situation?
 
One can only conclude from the Justice Department’s resistance that the audio is very bad, and they are worried it would further damage Biden’s image in the minds of voters, who already have serious concerns about his mental fitness for the job.
 
It’s also more evidence of the two systems of justice and how this Justice Department is running interference for the Biden family. Some might call that obstruction of justice.
 
 
 
Media Malfeasance
 
Big Media is once again providing air cover for their left-wing ideological allies. The latest example comes from NBC News, which gleefully spewed the propaganda of the neo-Marxist American Library Association (ALA).
 
And, no, that’s not an exaggeration. The president of the ALA, Emily Drabinski, described herself as a “Marxist lesbian.”
 
The NBC story highlights the ALA’s latest report on the large increase in the number of book challenges last year and the fact that seven of the ten most challenged books “deal with LGBTQ themes.” The ALA released this report Monday at the start of National Library Week.
 
The NBC story is typical biased, left-wing garbage.
 
It notes that “conservative activist groups” and “Republican elected officials” are driving the efforts to challenge certain books. And while ALA officials are quoted throughout the story as “fighting for freedom” and resisting censorship, not one conservative activist or official is quoted.
 
But here’s what NBC News won’t tell you: The ALA report is not evidence of conservative “intolerance” or censorship. It is evidence of the left’s unrelenting efforts to indoctrinate children with the LGBTQ agenda. And they are angry that parents are fighting back!
 
While noting that “Gender Queer,” a book about a “nonbinary” girl, was again the most challenged book for the third year in a row, NBC News failed to mention that the author has said, “I don’t recommend this book for kids.”
 
But that’s not stopping left-wing librarians and radical teachers from constantly pushing it on our kids.
 
Don’t be surprised if Joe Biden cites the ALA report to once again condemn and smear concerned parents as “book banners.” That is a disgusting lie. No one is “banning” books. Any parent is free to purchase this book on their own and read it to their kids.
 
The rest of us are simply trying to protect our young children and grandchildren from inappropriate material.
 
 
 
National Propaganda Radio
 
While we’re on the subject of media bias, Uri Berliner, a 25-year veteran of NPR, has just written a column detailing the Trump Derangement Syndrome at NPR.
 
Berliner writes that NPR became obsessed with “damaging or toppling” the Trump presidency and that the debunked Russia collusion hoax “became catnip that drove reporting.”
 
He also blasts the media outlet for its COVID coverage, writing, “We became fervent members of Team Natural Origin, even declaring that the lab leak had been debunked by scientists. But that wasn’t the case.”
 
In fact, the ideological extremism of NPR was so bad that Berliner notes NPR’s own demographic research showed, “We weren’t just losing conservatives; we were also losing moderates and traditional liberals.” White progressives in college towns and coastal communities are its primary audience.
 
The next conservative president and Congress must defund NPR. It is nothing more than a taxpayer-funded arm of the DNC.
 
 
 
Common Sense Prevails
 
Kudos to the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA)!
 
The NAIA’s Council of Presidents voted unanimously Monday to adopt an official policy stating that only biologically female athletes can participate in women’s sports. The NAIA represents more than 200 smaller and private colleges and universities with 80,000 athletes.   
 
NAIA President Jim Carr said the organization’s “first responsibility was to create fairness and competition in the NAIA.” Carr added that the new policy “aligns with the reasons Title IX was created” — to have equal and fair opportunities for women to compete in athletics.
 
Unfortunately, the NCAA and other athletic programs still allow mediocre male athletes to cheat by claiming they are girls or women. According to SheWon.org, male athletes have stolen more than 300 first-place awards from female athletes.
 
Notice that this never goes the other way. Women are not demanding the right to compete against men for an obvious reason. They would not win the competition. Men are bigger, faster, and stronger. Female athletes know that.
 
Yet for some reason, so-called “progressives” think it’s just wonderful when boys steal trophies from girls, denying them college scholarships, and crushing their hopes and dreams.
 
There’s nothing progressive about that. It’s bizarre, misogynistic, and totally unfair.
