Biden’s Final Interview — Again

He’s ostensibly worried about the powerful oligarchs coming into government and gaining power.

Joe Biden had a relatively “busy” week. He delivered his final foreign policy speech, his final speech as commander-in-chief, and his farewell address to the nation. I’m sure we’ll get a press release announcing Biden’s final use of a West Wing bathroom!

Thursday night, we got what I hope was his final television interview. It was conducted by Lawrence O'Donnell on MSNBC, of course.

Biden resorted to a tactic we’ve seen the left use year after year. They pick a theme and use it as a battering ram. Everything they say revolves around that theme, and many times it succeeds in moving the needle.

The theme they have adopted now, which is laughable, is that America’s democracy is being threatened by “powerful oligarchs.” Biden said he was very worried about the powerful oligarchs coming into government and gaining power given the “fragile” state of our democracy.

Biden also expressed his concern that the “guardrails” of government are “being chipped away.” He briefly mentioned that the Supreme Court should be independent. He said the presidency “has really limited powers … you can’t dictate everything.”

Is he serious?

He has used and abused the presidency to repeatedly forgive student debt that the Supreme Court said he doesn’t have the constitutional authority to do. In fact, he even bragged about ignoring the court, saying, “The Supreme Court blocked it. But that didn’t stop me.”

And he’s still doing it. Friday, he issued a statement claiming that the Equal Rights Amendment is part of the Constitution. It is not!

I’m not going to rehash all the ways that the left is the real threat to our democracy. But, for crying out loud, Joe Biden was part of the effort to cancel the 2024 election by kicking Donald Trump off the ballot! Had that effort succeeded, there would have been no presidential election.

The Totalitarian Left

Here’s what is driving this rhetoric right now. Biden and the political left have been working hand in glove with the social media billionaires forever. Now, these so-called “tolerant progressives” are royally p*ssed off that these companies will no longer do the censoring on behalf of the left that the government is not constitutionally allowed to do.

As we’ve heard from Donald Trump, Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, and others, Democrats would call social media companies and go ballistic on them, demanding they take down things they didn’t like.

Or they would have the FBI “request” that something be taken down, even if it was true (the Hunter Biden laptop story). Of course, everyone knows that a “request” from the FBI is like a “request” from the mob.

There’s another major irony in all this. If you look at the right and the left, conservatives control virtually nothing in the culture, except our philosophy touches more hearts and reaches more minds than the insane things the left says.

But the left controls the media. It controls Hollywood. It controls Wall Street. It controls the big multinational corporations. It controls our university campuses. It controls the teachers’ unions that have too much influence over what is taught to our children.

Every institution that used to be on our side — the Boy Scouts, major league sports, businesses generally speaking, the military, and even many churches — is infiltrated and/or browbeaten until it is neutered or becomes part of the left. And still, they want to shut down the few assets we have.

The “democracy” the left wants is a “democracy” in which only one view — theirs — is heard day after day, month after month, year after year.

Their willingness to use federal law enforcement as a tool to attack free speech should send a chill down the spine of every patriotic American.

About That Deal

As was widely reported, Israel and Hamas have reached a ceasefire deal. To the extent that the deal happened when it did, everyone knows it was because of Hamas’s fear of Donald Trump.

Nonetheless, many pro-Israel advocates, including me, agree that for many reasons it is not a great deal. I believe that whatever issues caused the initial delay in advancing the deal will be sorted out in time for some hostages to be released by Inauguration Day as part of the first phase of implementation.

But as we get to the second and third phases of this deal, I have a hard time seeing how it all happens. In later phases of the deal, Hamas agreed to give up power in Gaza, and Israel agreed to withdraw troops from Gaza. And it certainly does not mean that there will be peace.

A senior Hamas leader said last week that October 7th will remain a “source of pride” for the Palestinian people, and he vowed to destroy the state of Israel. Watch this video. October 7th was barbaric and evil. No deal or treaty will stop this hate.

The Hamas spokesman also said that the Palestinian people “served as an impenetrable shield for their resistance [Hamas].”

Yes, they did — they didn’t have much choice. Hamas exploits the Palestinian people as human shields while they hide in tunnels paid for by western aid dollars.

Then Hamas exploits the Palestinian people again by using their deaths as propaganda against Israel, which is repeated on our university campuses and by the growing anti-Israel wing of the Democrat Party.

These Islamic supremacist forces must be completely crushed until there is not one gene in their body left that holds out any hope they could succeed in destroying Israel. Then and only then there might be a chance for peace.

Accidental Honesty

The Washington Post has a new mission statement: “Riveting Storytelling for All of America.” Well, I can’t disagree with that.

The Post has been “telling stories” for decades. It just wasn’t telling us the news. We got fake news and fabricated stories like the Russia collusion hoax, which got the Post the Pulitzer Prize.

A New Era

Snow fell in Washington, D.C., this weekend, and Inauguration Day is predicted to be the coldest since 1985. Not surprisingly, it was announced Friday that the swearing-in ceremony for Donald Trump and J.D. Vance and Trump’s inaugural address will take place inside the Capitol Rotunda because of the extreme cold.

There will be hundreds of thousands of Americans in this city and millions more watching on TV. Their hearts will be warmed enough to warm up the whole country!

Sanctity Of Life Sunday

In 1984, President Ronald Reagan called on Americans to “give thanks for the gift of life, and to reaffirm our commitment to the dignity of every human being and the sanctity of each human life.” Many churches did just that yesterday.

Men and women of faith have been at the vanguard of the great social movements in our history — from the Abolitionist movement to end the evil of slavery to the Civil Rights movement to end segregation to the pro-life movement to end the scourge of abortion.

While some are distorting the scriptures to promote abortion, God’s word is clear. In Deuteronomy 30:19, He declared, “I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live.”

I hope you heard something from the pulpit Sunday about the importance of the sanctity of life. If not, I hope you and others will ask your pastor why the subject didn’t come up.

If your pastor says he doesn’t address political issues from the pulpit, politely ask him if he would have refused to discuss slavery in the 1850s. Remind him that the sanctity of life isn’t a political issue — it’s a moral issue.

Please join Carol and me in prayer that a renewed respect for the sanctity of life and the right to life will sweep across our nation.

Good News

  • California regulators abandoned (at least for now) one of their more insane “climate change” demands.
  • Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis appointed Ashley Moody, the state’s attorney general and a strong pro-life America First conservative, to fill Marco Rubio’s Senate seat when he is confirmed as secretary of State.
  • Meta (Facebook, Instagram) joined the growing list of major companies dumping divisive DEI policies.
  • Amazon also joined the list of companies dumping divisive DEI policies.
  • The FBI has closed its Office of Diversity and Inclusion. The Trump Effect is real!
