Donald Trump Brings Normal Back
Let’s compare the last day of Biden’s administration and the first day of Trump’s administration.
After four long years, Joe Biden has been relegated to full-time unemployment — rather than part-time employment as president of the United States and part-time employment as unconscious lifeguard at a Delaware beach — and Donald Trump has returned to the White House.
Much like January of 2017, the left-wing hyperbolic response to Donald Trump was on full display as the new commander in chief signed a spate of executive orders, memorandums and proclamations. This, we were told by hand-wringing members of the Democratic Party and the legacy media, is nothing other than the first steps in Trump’s new totalitarian regime. And, of course, those in Trump’s inner circle were equally tarred-and-feathered by association: the faux outrage toward Elon Musk’s “fascist salute” is a good example.
However, unlike January of 2017, no one is falling for this game anymore. Why? Because Donald Trump is the normal one, and Joe Biden is the totalitarian fascist being booted from office.
Let’s compare the last day of Biden’s administration and the first day of Trump’s administration.
Just minutes before shuffling into the sunset, Biden provided the insult to end all insults: He pardoned practically every relative in the Biden family tree … except for Jill Biden … giving us the ultimate evidence of Biden’s sheer disregard for the law.
Minutes and hours after Trump was inaugurated, what were the dreaded documents signed with his trademark oversized Sharpie?
Among them were an executive order on rescinding Biden’s executive orders, an executive order calling for a federal investigation into the assault on freedom of speech, an executive order calling for a federal investigation into the “weaponization” of government against Biden’s political enemies, an executive order on withdrawing from the Paris Agreement and any other international climate pacts, an executive order withdrawing from the World Health Organization, an executive order on unleashing American energy, an executive order that suspended refugee settlements, an executive order on border control, an executive order that pauses foreign aid, an executive order that acknowledges biological reality, an executive order that ends federal DEI programs, an executive order that designates cartels and other foreign criminal entities as terrorist organizations, a memorandum that ended remote work for federal employees, a memorandum preventing hasty regulatory work, a memorandum freezing federal hiring, and a proclamation that declared a “national emergency” at the southern border.
Make no mistake: These are a return to normality.
It is normal for a country to respect its own sovereignty by defending its borders. It is normal for a country to defend 50% of its population from the whims of radical activists and mentally ill men who believe they can masquerade as women. It is normal for a country to refuse to fund foreign organizations that work against its interests.
You know what isn’t normal? Having the country run by a dementia-addled corrupt career-politician who handed over the reins to a gaggle of Obama-era deep-state figures and radical leftists who tried to demolish and rebuild the United States of America as a woke utopia.
Congratulations to Donald Trump on his long-awaited return to the White House. Finally, we’re back to normal.
