America is in the middle of an ideological war over fundamental values. The media are clearly on the wrong side, and they are doing everything they can to confuse and manipulate people.
 
Recall during the Biden administration that pro-life activists engaged in free speech by protesting the killing of innocent preborn babies. They prayed and sang hymns at an abortion center. Some of these pro-life activists were grandmothers. All were peaceful.
 
Joe Biden had them arrested and prosecuted. They were hauled before a left-wing judge, who mocked their faith and sentenced these American citizens to years behind bars.
 
The media was silent about this violation of free speech. No Democrat accused pro-abortion Joe Biden of acting like a dictator when he prosecuted his pro-life political opponents.
 
Now, look at events in the last few days.
 
Mahmoud Khalil, a Syrian citizen studying in the United States thanks to our generosity and hospitality, was arrested for “protesting.” But he wasn’t just praying or singing. He was encouraging Jew-hatred.
 
Mahmoud Khalil is NOT an American citizen. He is a radical Islamic extremist and the leader of the antisemitic, anti-Israel, anti-American riots at Columbia University.
 
Khalil’s “protest” led to Jewish students being verbally terrorized and physically attacked. Khalil’s “protest” resulted in a historic building being occupied and trashed.
 
Donald Trump promised in the 2024 campaign that he would combat antisemitism and protect Jewish students. So, President Trump ordered Khalil to be arrested and deported. On his Truth Social platform, Trump wrote:
 
“This is the first arrest of many to come. We know there are more students at Columbia and other Universities across the Country who have engaged in pro-terrorist, anti-Semitic, anti-American activity, and the Trump Administration will not tolerate it. We will find, apprehend, and deport these terrorist sympathizers from our country – never to return again.
 
"If you support terrorism, including the slaughtering of innocent men, women, and children, your presence is contrary to our national and foreign policy interests, and you are not welcome here.”
 
Now, Democrats and their media allies are having a total meltdown. The left would have you believe that Khalil is a choirboy, the nicest man you’ve ever met. And, by the way, his wife is pregnant. Then they cry, “What kind of country are we living in?”
 
At the same time, they’re accusing President Trump of acting like a dictator and attacking free speech. An ACLU lawyer declared, “This seems like one of the biggest threats, if not the biggest threat, to First Amendment freedoms in 50 years.”
 
To the left, Christian grandmothers are terrorists, while antisemitic foreign Islamists are heroes.
 
 
 
Get Them Out!
 
Demonstrations have erupted across the country. Leftist Hamas sympathizers staged protests in Chicago. They are blocking streets in Washington, D.C. They are violently clashing with police in New York City.
 
When they weren’t mocking or assaulting police officers, they were chanting disgusting calls for genocide like this one: “There is only one solution! Intifada revolution!”
 
A violent Islamic uprising, just like October 7th, is their “final solution.”
 
These extremists claim to be defending democracy and free speech. That’s a lie. They are promoting antisemitic bigotry.
 
These are the same radical Islamists and leftists who have made our universities “No Jew Zones.” They’re the same people who marched into Jewish neighborhoods after October 7th to conduct their own pogroms, looking for any Jews they could find to beat up.
 
So, if you’re a Syrian student at Columbia who hates Jews, Christians, and Americans, everyone on the political left is concerned about your well-being. But if you’re a Syrian Christian being killed by people like Khalil, no one cares.
 
How long will it take for Russell Moore or some other “progressive” evangelical to run to a microphone to condemn Donald Trump and tell Christians who voted for him to repent?
 
What we really need to repent for is the failed foreign policy we followed that allowed this genocide of Christians in Syria and the Middle East to happen in the first place.
 
By the way, Columbia and many other American universities seem to be more interested in educating “the world” rather than Americans. Foreign students are “money makers” who pay a lot more in tuition.
 
Once upon a time, educating foreign students in the United States was a good idea. They came here, experienced freedom, and were taught about the greatness of Western Civilization. Now, it’s the exact opposite. We’re bringing in people who hate us, and we’re teaching them how bad we are.
 
We already have enough left-wing nuts in America. We don’t need to import more crazy haters!
 
President Trump is right: Get them out now!
 
 
 
More Media Malfeasance
 
Here’s another obvious example of the leftist media’s indoctrination.
 
Vice President J.D. Vance went to Europe to defend free speech. He told European leaders to stop censoring their own people. The whole leftist establishment was shocked by Vance’s “arrogance,” and they took the side of Europe’s censors. “Hate doesn’t deserve freedom of speech,” they said.
 
Meanwhile, back in America, they’re rushing to defend a foreign Islamic extremist who hates pro-Israel Christians and Jews. That man must be protected from Donald Trump and the radical right.
 
It’s mind-blowing that virtually no one in the “mainstream media” is capable of making these comparisons. Or maybe they can, and they just don’t want the American people to know how the left is undermining our country.
 
 
 
GOP Sticks Together
 
Kudos to Speaker Mike Johnson! He kept the House Republican caucus together Tuesday on a critical vote, losing only Thomas Massie of Kentucky. Twice now, Johnson (with considerable help from Donald Trump) has kept House Republicans united, something we have struggled with in the past.
 
The vote was on a continuing resolution to fund the government through the rest of the fiscal year and prevent a government shutdown Friday night. I don’t like continuing resolutions. Most Republicans don’t like them. But Democrats are refusing to cooperate, so we’re left with unsatisfactory solutions.
 
The resolution will need 60 votes to pass the Senate. Rand Paul (R-KY) is voting against it. That’s fine, Rand, but what’s your plan? It remains to be seen if Democrats will provide at least eight votes to keep the government open.
 
If they refuse, it will be Democrats who shut the government down. But I can guarantee you the media will say, “Republicans shut the government down because they control both houses of Congress.” And that will be another lie.
 
Here’s some irony. Liberals in Congress are furious that Trump is trying to close some government agencies. But they are threatening to close the whole government!
 
 
 
A Great Start
 
Secretary of Education Linda McMahon has eliminated half of the bureaucrats at the Department of Education either through early retirement buyouts or firings. That’s a great start to eliminating the leftist rot at the department and perhaps even the department itself.
 
The White House understands that the entire department can’t be closed without action from Congress. It is impossible to imagine there are 60 votes in the Senate to abolish the Education Department right now.
 
But the administration does have the authority to implement “reductions in force” (RIFs), and that was done Tuesday night. The Education Department was closed yesterday for “security reasons.”
 
I don’t know how the left stirs up so much bile every day, but they are going ballistic about these staff cuts. Again, it is important that we don’t allow ourselves to get caught up in manufactured controversies.
 
The same people who are upset that some federal education bureaucracy has been shut down were the most vocal advocates of shutting down your schools during COVID. The results were an educational disaster.
 
We’re being told that thousands of “educrats” in Washington deserve our support at all costs. But the local school you’re counting on to educate your child, not so much.
 
Speaking of cuts, the Trump administration cut off federal funding to Maine’s university system because the state’s left-wing governor refuses to stop sick men from cheating in women’s sports.
 
 
 
Good News
 
There is good news today on the economy. 

• Inflation in February was 2.8% on an annualized basis, lower than expected.
• Egg prices have dropped nearly $2.00 in the past two weeks.
• Gas prices are at their lowest level in four years.
• Mortgage rates have fallen for six weeks in a row.
• After two years of manufacturing job stagnation under Joe Biden, 30,000 new manufacturing jobs have been created since the beginning of the Trump administration. And we’re only on Day 52!

 
 
The China Threat
 
Referring to government court documents, investigative reporter Paul Sperry writes:
 
“The Chinese spy ring that operated out of Washington’s Joint Base Lewis-McChord started stealing classified military information 10 months after Joe Biden took office and didn’t stop spying until Biden was leaving office.”
 
Sperry also notes that this “Chinese spy ring” is larger than just the three Army soldiers who were recently arrested.
