Krazy Kaine

We have Democrat senators with Harvard Law degrees who don’t know America’s founding principles.

I was shocked 25 years ago when I discovered that students at a Minneapolis high school had never heard the sentence:
 
“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”
 
They were mystified by these words from our Declaration of Independence. That was 25 years ago. Now, we have Democrat senators with Harvard Law degrees who don’t know America’s founding principles.
 
Riley Barnes, President Trump’s nominee for Assistant Secretary of State for Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor, appeared before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee last week. During his opening statement, Barnes said he believed “our rights come from God, our Creator; not from our laws, not from our governments.”
 
Evidently, Senator Tim Kaine was “triggered” by that statement. He berated Barnes, calling his statement “extremely troubling,” and saying:
 
“The notion that rights don’t come from laws and don’t come from the government, but come from the Creator—that’s what the Iranian government believes. It’s a theocratic regime that bases its rule on Sharia law…
 
Kudos to Sen. Ted Cruz who blasted Kaine’s "extremely troubling” remark as evidence of where “much of today’s Democrat Party has gone wrong.”
 
Senator Cruz is right. Kaine’s statement is evidence of the Left’s totalitarian impulse. If our rights come from government, then government can take them away.
 
By the way, Kaine is considered a “moderate” in today’s Democrat Party and was Hillary Clinton’s vice-presidential running mate in 2016.
 
The idea that our rights come from God and not government is the principle that made the American Revolution different from the French Revolution.
 
The French Revolution was a godless revolution that sank into nihilism and the mass rape of nuns. The American Revolution created the greatest nation in the world because it was built on the idea that liberty comes from God.
 
But the senator from Virginia—the state that produced Thomas Jefferson, author of the Declaration of Independence—has no idea what the founding principle of America is!
 
 
 
Spiritual Warfare
 
Vice President J.D. Vance and Second Lady Usha Vance went to Minneapolis Wednesday to pay their respects and to pray with the Annunciation Church families who lost children and those whose children are still in the hospital.
 
The radical Left, however, demonstrated yet again that it has no decency and no respect for conservatives and Christians. In a disgusting display of hate and intolerance, Vance and his wife were greeted by screaming Democrat protesters, including members of the party’s alphabet wing.
 
The LGBTQ flag was flying. Someone with a sense of irony had a sign that read, “Hate has no place in Minnesota.” Somebody forgot to tell the transgender shooter that.
 
Here was another delightful sign: “When you pray, move your feet.” I assume that means you have to keep moving around while you’re praying because you’re going to get killed.
 
I’ll say it again: We are in a spiritual war between God and Satan, and it’s being fought out in the political arena.
 
 
 
Left-wing Hate
 
A couple of states are holding elections this year. One of them is Virginia. Congresswoman Abigail Spanberger, the Democrat nominee for governor, has gone to great lengths to disguise herself as a “moderate.” But she’s got a big problem—her running mate.
 
State Sen. Ghazala Hashmi, the Democrat nominee for lieutenant governor, is an Indian immigrant and the first Muslim elected to Virginia’s state Senate. She has a history of hateful comments aimed at the people of Virginia.
 
When asked to explain the election of Republican Glenn Youngkin in 2021, Hashmi said, “The majority of voters in Virginia are racist,” adding that “racism is so latent and so much a part of society.”
 
She also condemned concerned parents as “fascists” and attacked the dangerous idea that parents should be able to control what their children read. Again, accusing Virginians of being bigots, Hashmi said, “Overwhelmingly, the books that we see targeted are by authors of minority communities or by LGBTQ authors.”
 
That kind of absurd and insulting statement is what passes for political debate in today’s Democrat Party.
 
The books by LGBTQ authors are about LGBTQ ideology. That’s why parents want to restrict young children’s access to such books. No books are being “banned.” But little kids shouldn’t be subject to radical gender theories and sexual indoctrination.
 
As for certain minority authors, they’re not promoting the work of Martin Luther King, Jr. If they were telling his story—a Baptist pastor who believed in America and genuine equality—there would be unanimous support for that.
 
What Virginians are rightly objecting to are the Marxist ideologies of critical race theory and “diversity, equity, and inclusion.” These radical ideologies are not teaching racial equality and reconciliation.
 
They are teaching children that all blacks are oppressed and all white people are racists, and it will never change unless the Left is able to “fundamentally transform America” into a secular, neo-Marxist state.
 
I’d like to think this election would be a slam dunk. But open borders and the growth of the federal bureaucracy in recent decades have radically transformed Virginia.
 
 
 
Kennedy Stands Firm
 
Thursday’s Senate hearing with HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., was astonishing. Virtually every media pundit, including some on Fox News, seemed to suggest that Kennedy got his head handed to him.
 
Most conservative media didn’t see it that way at all. They are praising Kennedy’s performance as a rare example of a conservative administration official battling politicians for hours and not letting them get away with anything.
 
Not only did the senators gang up on him, they also asked questions that were basically smears and wouldn’t let Kennedy respond. They tried to lynch him.
 
But Kennedy was ready. He took their punches and he punched back, reminding senators how much money they have all taken from Big Pharma—$850,000 in the case of Elizabeth Warren! He also leveled a damning indictment of the Left’s politicization of the COVID pandemic.
 
Sadly, some Republicans broke ranks and joined the Democrats in attacking Kennedy. Senator Bill Cassidy of Louisiana expressed more anger at Kennedy than I have ever seen him demonstrate against Democrats who are undermining our constitutional Republic.
 
Most GOP officeholders do fight. But when they start heading toward the tall grass, they show a level of anger and viciousness they never show against Democrats.
 
Liz Cheney is another example. She was strong when she was with us, but when she turned against Donald Trump, she turned into a slice-and-dice warrior for the Left.
 
By the way, multiple whistleblowers are warning that bureaucrats in the CDC and throughout the Department of Health and Human Services are sharing and using a declassified CIA manual called “Simple Sabotage.”
 
Originally produced in 1944 to encourage acts of resistance in Nazi-occupied Europe, it’s full of small ways bureaucrats can “gum up the works” to paralyze government offices. Some examples include: 

  • Demanding every order be put in writing, “misunderstanding” the orders, asking as many questions as possible, and demanding additional clarifications.  
  • Supervisors should demand perfection in small tasks, insisting they be redone. Assigning difficult tasks to incompetent workers, ensuring bad outcomes. 
  • Filling out forms incorrectly or omitting necessary information. 

This is what leftist bureaucrats in our health department are doing to “resist” Donald Trump’s agenda and make Secretary Kennedy look bad. Clearly, more people need to be fired.
 
 
 
Terror Plot Thwarted
 
There are disturbing reports that Christians in Italy just dodged a bullet—literally many bullets.
 
Tens of thousands of Christians had gathered in Viterbo, about an hour and a half north of Rome, for an annual religious festival. Hours before the festival began, Italian authorities arrested two Turkish men, armed with machine guns, who were plotting a mass casualty terrorist attack on the Christian festival.
 
 
 
Good News 

  • Under President Trump’s leadership, U.S. oil production just hit a record high. 
  • Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth has authorized 600 military lawyers to serve as immigration judges to clear out the massive backlog of asylum claims and other immigration cases. 
  • Secretary of Defense Hegseth fired another shot in the “war on woke"—he fired the U.S. Navy’s Director for Transgender Healthcare. 
  • The Alaska Medical Board declared the sterilization and mutilation of children as treatments for gender dysphoria to be "unprofessional conduct.” 
  • The Florida Republicans now enjoy a 10-point registration lead (41% to 31%) over the Democrats.
