From the assassination of Charlie Kirk to the suspension of Jimmy Kimmel, there’s been a lot of talk lately about free speech in America. The topic was center stage Tuesday at the Supreme Court.
 
The justices heard oral arguments in a case challenging a Colorado law passed by the LGBTQ-controlled Democrats who wanted to control what counselors and therapists can say to their patients. The law banned so-called “conversion therapy,” where a counselor attempts to help someone overcome same-sex attractions or deal with gender dysphoria.
 
Just to be clear, the controversy before the court was voluntary talk therapy. But just like abortion, the Left only wants you to have one choice. The Colorado law banned speech that progressives and the LGBTQ crowd disagreed with.
 
It “gagged” counselors, especially Christian counselors, and forced their patients into only one option—their gender confusion must be affirmed, or the counselors would lose their license.
 
This law reaffirms that the Left is the real threat to free speech and religious liberty.
 
I think it is clear that a majority of the justices are prepared to strike down Colorado’s law as an unconstitutional violation of free speech. Justice Samuel Alito called it “blatant viewpoint discrimination.”
 
Even liberal Justice Elena Kagan expressed doubts about the law, saying it “seems like viewpoint discrimination in the way we would normally understand viewpoint discrimination.”
 
Once again, Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, who couldn’t define what a woman is during her confirmation hearing, showed her stupidity. She couldn’t understand why Tennessee could prohibit children from undergoing chemical and surgical castrations but why Colorado couldn’t prohibit “conversion therapy.” Jackson said she wanted to be sure “that we have equivalence with respect to these things.”
 
What?!
 
There is absolutely no equivalence whatsoever between voluntary talk therapy and irreversible, life-altering medical procedures performed on children who do not comprehend all the serious implications!
 
 
 
The Real Threat
 
 
Tuesday’s Senate Judiciary Committee hearing with Attorney General Pam Bondi featured plenty of fireworks. Republicans were outraged about an issue that should concern us all.
 
Senator Josh Hawley called out Democrats for accusing the Trump administration of “targeting political opponents” while ignoring the weaponization of government under the Biden administration. Hawley noted that the Biden administration: 

• Targeted parents at school board meetings as “domestic terrorists.”
• Spied on Catholic churches.
• Persecuted pro-life activists.
• Did everything it could to put Donald Trump in jail.
• And monitored the phones of Republican senators.

 
Every time we turn around, the Left is telling us that Donald Trump is a dictator “destroying our democracy.” But, in fact, it was the previous Democrat administration that was actually doing everything they accuse conservatives of doing.
 
Tulsi Gabbard is currently the director of National Intelligence. She is a prominent former Democrat and combat veteran. Under Biden, she was followed by air marshals and was subjected to invasive searches every time she flew.
 
Other American citizens were put through the same thing if they had attended the January 6th rally—not the protest on Capitol Hill—but a constitutionally protected rally.
 
This is another example of the Biden administration taking a national security program meant to protect the American people and weaponized it against them.
 
The information Biden’s Deep State operatives were collecting on senators was given directly to former Special Counsel Jack Smith, who is a left-wing political hack. If Donald Trump had lost the election, they wouldn’t have been satisfied. They were going to do everything they could to put him in jail and destroy the MAGA movement.
 
All of this was happening while their leftist stormtroopers were regularly engaging in street violence. Crisis pregnancy centers were attacked. Churches were desecrated. Pro-life and pro-family organizations were vandalized. Left-wing violence has become a daily risk in America.
 
So, there’s war in the streets, weaponization of the federal government against elected Republican officials, and then the Biden administration opened the border and allowed 15 to 20 million illegal aliens to walk in.
 
Taken together, these acts can only be seen as an effort by the Left to take over America in a way that would be virtually impossible to take back. They were replacing the population, undermining the rule of law, targeting political opponents, and trying to jail the one man who was most effectively opposing them.
 
By the way, how are we supposed to find common ground with this gang?
 
 
 
Left-wing Hate
 
We are learning more about Louis Geri, the man arrested Sunday outside of a Washington, D.C., cathedral just before a mass that is held to pray for Supreme Court justices.
 
Initial reports indicated that Geri was arrested for possessing a Molotov cocktail. That was a slight undercount. He had more than 200 incendiary devices.
 
He also had a manifesto that espoused anti-Catholic, anti-Jew, anti-immigration, and anti-Supreme Court views. He essentially had a copy of the current Democrat Party platform.
 
The Democrat Party is anti-Israel. It tried to put Catholic nuns in jail. It’s obviously anti-borders and anti-immigration enforcement. And a day doesn’t go by when Democrats aren’t attacking the Supreme Court.
 
Geri is obviously another radical Democrat. Like the leftist Democrat who killed Charlie Kirk. And the leftist, Trump-hating Democrat who murdered children in a Minneapolis Catholic church. And the leftist Democrat candidate for attorney general in Virginia, who wrote about the desirability of murdering a Republican leader and his children.
 
 
 
Day 8
 
It’s Day 9 of the Schumer Shutdown. Another round of votes to reopen the government failed yesterday.
 
Democrats are demanding that Republicans negotiate over Obamacare subsidies, among other things, before they will reopen the government. But it’s the Democrats who are refusing to compromise or negotiate.
 
House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries flatly rejected a proposal to extend the subsidies for one year in order to reopen the government.
 
Here’s what you need to know.
 
The subsidies at issue are supposed to be temporary. They were passed during the COVID emergency. Democrats are now demanding that they become permanent, claiming Obamacare premiums will skyrocket if the “temporary, emergency” subsidies aren’t renewed by the end of the year.
 
Republicans are willing to negotiate on premium subsidies. But they’re not going to be blackmailed by the Democrats’ “all or nothing” approach into giving illegal aliens taxpayer-funded healthcare.
 
By the way, the fact Democrats shut down the government over demands for more Obamacare subsidies proves what a fraud the “Affordable Care Act” always was.
 
 
 
Mamdani Madness
 
Marxist Zohran Mamdani issued a statement Tuesday recognizing the second anniversary of Hamas’s invasion of Israel on October 7, 2023. After one paragraph of boilerplate rhetoric about the war crime committed by Hamas, he then goes on a three-paragraph tirade against Israel.
 
He accused Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of “launching a genocidal war.” That’s a lie. The only ones waging a “genocidal war” are the Islamic supremacists of Hamas who reject Israel’s right to exist. Israel is fighting a war of self-defense.
 
Mamdani accused Israel of indiscriminately “bombing hospitals and schools.” That’s a lie. Israel is taking out Hamas’s weapons depots and command centers.
 
He accuses the United States of being “complicit” in this “genocide.” That’s a lie. It implies that the United States is supporting illegal activity. We are not.
 
Mamdani then declares that the “occupation and apartheid must end.” Again, more lies. Israel completely withdrew from Gaza in 2005. Hamas turned Gaza into a launching pad for terrorist attacks against innocent Israelis. Israel is the most diverse nation in the Middle East. The only “apartheid” that exists are the Jew-free zones across the Middle East.
 
Sadly, this is not surprising coming from a radical who refuses to condemn antisemitic incitements to violence.
 
Meanwhile, perpetual student Mahmoud Khalil resurfaced for a protest at Columbia University. He said, “Our struggle [the Palestinian struggle] did not start last year or the year before. It started by the inception of the Zionist ideology back in the 19^th century… We will continue to resist until… Palestine, all of Palestine, is liberated.”
 
There it is—Israel shouldn’t exist at all. There shouldn’t be a Jewish state in Judea and Samaria with David’s City as its capital. Normally, the Left champions the rights of indigenous people. Well, the Jews are the indigenous people of Israel!
 
This is why peace between Israelis and Palestinians is so difficult. How is Israel supposed to compromise with people who think the Jewish state shouldn’t exist?
