Greetings, perhaps some of you can remember the title of this missive is also the title of a song by the hard rock band, Judas Priest. It is all about someone who feels that, due to their own despair, they have no other course of action than to break the law.

When I think about the lawlessness of the American Marxist leftists, well, this song came to mind. As well, I went back and grabbed my copy of Frederic Bastiat’s essay, “The Law,” which, if you have not read it, you should. I just needed a confirmation, a reminder, of why we have laws, according to Bastiat. He postulates that the law exists to protect our life, liberty, and property. Bastiat is referring to the natural rights theory of English political philosopher John Locke, who is known as the “Father of Classical Liberalism.” He emphasizes that the preeminent role of government is to safeguard the unalienable, natural rights of the individual: life, liberty, and property. Instead of each of us going about as armed vigilantes, we submit to the government the responsibility to collectively secure and protect those rights.

So, one has to ask, what is all this hullabaloo going on in Minneapolis? Simple, it is about deranged people who do not understand the law, and are willfully breaking the law, and insidiously defending those who have broken the law.

As a reminder, Article IV, Section 4 of our US Constitution, known as the Guarantee Clause, affirms that the federal government, the United States, must guarantee to every State in the Union to protect it from invasion. Here is an example of States’ surrendering their sovereign right to self-protection to the federal government. However, if the federal government failed in its guarantee, then Article 1, Section 10, Clause 3 states, “No State shall, without the Consent of Congress, law any Duty of Tonnage, keep Troops, or Ships of War in time of Peace, enter into any Agreement or Compact with another States, or with a foreign Power, or engage in War, unless actually invaded, or in such imminent Danger as will not admit of delay.” Therefore, if the federal government fails to honor its responsibility to uphold the law and maintain the sovereignty of the Republic, then States can take upon themselves that responsibility.

Needless to say, this was the case during the Biden administration, which willfully, knowingly, and intentionally implemented an unconstitutional and unlawful open borders policy. That resulted in increased threats to Americans by way of human, sex, and drug trafficking, namely fentanyl, which ended up killing hundreds of thousands of Americans: imminent danger as will not admit of delay. The Biden administration broke the law, Title 18 US Code 1325, which declares unauthorized entry into the United States as a federal offense. No one, even a President, is above the law.

And now we have these leftist Governors and Mayors who are also breaking the law by harboring criminal illegal immigrants. First, unauthorized entry into our Country is a federal offense; then we have a contingent of these illegal immigrants who are committing even further crimes, breaking the law, against the American people: murder, rape, child rape, assault, fraud, burglary, DUIs, etc. So, these elected officials, including deranged State Attorney Generals like Minnesota’s Keith Ellison, are precluding law enforcement from enforcing the law. So what happens when Attorney Generals break the law? Many of these leftist AGs are issuing threat letters to their State Sheriff’s agencies for enforcing the law. In essence, they prefer law enforcement to break the law.

Worse of all, we have leftist elected officials inciting violence against duly badged law enforcement officers, breaking the law. They are advocating for the obstruction, interference, and impeding of lawful federal law enforcement operations. And those, y'all, are also breaking the law.

Obstructing or impeding federal law enforcement involves willfully interfering with officers or investigations, covering violent acts (assaults) and non-violent actions, under Title 18 US Code 111. Assaulting, resisting, or impeding an officer while performing their duties is a violation of Title 18, US Code 111. Interfering with the process of law enforcement, meaning obstructing officers serving legal writs or court orders, is a violation of Title 18 US Code 1509. The key aspect of this is willful intent, meaning the act is done knowingly and intentionally. Such was the case with the woman shot by an ICE officer in Minneapolis. The other aspect is that the officer must be acting in their official capacity, such is the case with ICE officers acting upon court detainers for criminal illegal immigrants, who have broken our laws.

I think we have to stop wringing our hands and accept the fact that the Marxist progressive socialist leftist position on illegal immigration is rooted in breaking the law. They have no legal or moral standing on this issue. It truly comes down to their ideological agenda of open borders, which again is breaking the law. And, the most recent episode of demonic leftists in Minneapolis going into a Church is clearly a violation of the First Amendment Freedom of Religion, and the free exercise thereof. And this constant leftist droning about “peaceful protest” is disingenuous to say the least.

The seminal question has to be, why would you want to give power to people who embrace breaking the law? I mean, do you really want to see Rep. Ilhan Omar as the Chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee? Someone who broke the law in order to gain entry into our Country by lying and who is closely associated with criminal fraud.

I think the theme song of the party of the jackass should be Judas Priest’s song “Breaking the Law” because that is what they do best.
