Remembering Pearl Harbor
It is sad and dangerous that many young Americans are more interested in condemning their country, protesting the flag and second-guessing previous generations than they are in understanding what happened 76 years ago and how each generation must defend liberty.
Amid the hustle and bustle of the season, we don’t want you to forget that yesterday, Dec. 7, 2017, marked the 76th anniversary of Japan’s attack on the U.S. fleet at Pearl Harbor.
The attack began America’s involvement in World War II. It is sad and dangerous that many young Americans are more interested in condemning their country, protesting the flag and second-guessing previous generations than they are in understanding what happened 76 years ago and how each generation must defend liberty. This is a great time to speak to your children and grandchildren about what it took to win World War II.
Fewer and fewer men and women from the Greatest Generation are still alive. Thank them while you still can.
Islamist Threats in Jerusalem
The Left is predicting that President Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel will cause Islamic-inspired violence against Americans. But Islamic supremacists were attacking us, Israel and our other allies, Christians, Jews and even other Muslims for years before President Trump did the right thing on Jerusalem.
We have seen 9/11, beheadings, churches bombed, synagogues destroyed, Israeli women and children stabbed in the streets, young Europeans and Americans murdered at concerts, Christmas parties, nightclubs, rapes of “infidel” women, acid thrown in the faces of reformers, the list goes on and on.
Islamist apologists always have an excuse for the murderous violence. It happened because someone touched a Koran, insulted Islam, made a movie, wrote an editorial, drew a cartoon of Mohammed, danced at a concert, celebrated Christmas, outlawed the veil, displayed the Star of David, touched foot on Muslim land, and of course, the most frequent excuse of all — supported Israel.
Anyone arguing that we should not do “x” because it will spark Islamic supremacist violence has already given up their freedom to the barbaric forces loose in the world. President Trump was right to ignore those voices of weakness and surrender.
Justice Department Ready to Blow?
A few days ago the shocking news broke that Peter Strzok, deputy director of counterintelligence at the FBI, had been demoted because of evidence of left-wing political bias in his work. Strzok led the FBI’s investigation into Hillary Clinton and was on Robert Mueller’s team investigating Trump.
Now it is being reported that Bruce G. Ohr, a senior Justice Department official, has also been stripped of his post because of evidence that in the 2016 campaign he had contact with Fusion GPS, the opposition research firm that was hired by Hillary Clinton’s campaign to hurt Trump.
There are unconfirmed reports that the inspector general’s office at Justice is investigating 27 officials for leaking sensitive information to the media. Announcements about this investigation are expected at the end of 2017 or in early January 2018. Stay tuned.
