The Left Is Insane
As I have written many times before, the Left increasingly views everything through the prism of race. In its desperation to demonize (and demoralize) conservatives generally, and Donald Trump in particular, the Left has weaponized “racism” in order to shut down dissent and make mainstream values “beyond the pale.”

Believe it or not, some leftists see racism and white nationalism in President Trump’s use of “Merry Christmas.” Seriously. You can’t make this stuff up.
I don’t know which is worse: That some leftists see racism in “Merry Christmas” or that Newsweek published such nonsense.
For decades, Newsweek has been one of the main sources of serious news and journalism. But with this article, it seems it has succumbed to the “Trump Derangement Syndrome” that is sweeping the Left.
Speaking of Media Bias…
In its year-end review of 2017, the Pew Research Center reports that media coverage of President Trump was decidedly one-sided. Sixty-two percent of news reports about the president during his first 60 days in office were negative, while just 5% were positive.
I think it is safe to say that the trend continued all year long!
For some perspective, consider this: As much as the media hated George W. Bush for “stealing” the 2000 election from Al Gore, only 28% of media reports on Bush during his first 60 days were negative and 22% were positive.
Donald Trump never got the “honeymoon” that presidents traditionally enjoy before the media starts to savage them. (Obama’s honeymoon with the media lasted eight years!)
Yet despite the media’s efforts to demonize the president, his approval rating is going up. According to the latest Rasmussen tracking poll, 46% of voters approve of the president’s performance, up from 40% just two weeks ago.
That’s not bad given all the negative stories, much of it fake news, that the left-wing media have thrown at him all year long.
