The Smears Continue
As you know, President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump went to Dayton and El Paso on Wednesday, where they met with the victims of the mass shootings and their families, as well as first responders and local leaders. There were many photos of people greeting the president and thanking him for his support.
Of course, this drove the haters on the left insane.
Beto O'Rourke stepped up his attacks on Trump, tweeting, “22 people in my hometown are dead after an act of terror inspired by your racism.”
The Castro brothers doubled down on their idea of shaming San Antonio residents who exercised their constitutional rights and donated to the Trump campaign.
This fanatical hatred is not limited to the fringes of the Democrat Party. The “moderate” Joe Biden said this:
“This president has fanned the flames of white supremacy in this nation… Our president has more in common with George Wallace than George Washington.”
Sadly, this is what the left always does. Remember when John McCain was George Wallace? Joe Biden said Mitt Romney was going to put black people “back in chains.” McCain and Romney are now lauded by the left.
The left has no shame. These disgusting charges were false then and they are false now.
Smearing Conservatives, Silencing Debate
Why is the left constantly referring to the president or any prominent conservative as a white supremacist? Let’s go back a few years.
When Colin Kaepernick disrespected the flag, Trump criticized him. They accused the president of doing so only because Kaepernick was black. But the president would have gone after any athlete who disrespected our country and law enforcement, regardless of their race.
When liberal elected officials attack him, he hits back, whether its Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, Adam Schiff or Elijah Cummings. It has nothing to do with race. He criticizes them because they are left-wing socialists.
When four minority women demonize Israel, say America is a rotten country built on slavery and genocide, argue that America was never great, the president takes them on.
But let’s get to the main reason why the left is pushing this narrative that Trump is a racist. It boils down to the battle over the border.
The president says, in effect, “You can’t have a nation if you don’t have definable, defensible borders.” The president says, “We need people to come in, but it should be done legally and based on merit.”
He warns that many illegal immigrants will be a burden on taxpayers. The left is offering them free healthcare and discounted college tuition.
The president warns that when 100,000 people are crossing the border every month, some of them will be criminals and possibly even terrorists. The left accuses Trump of calling all Hispanics “rapists.”
I would venture to say that everyone reading this report, the 63 million people who voted for Trump in 2016, and even many who did not vote for him, would agree with most of what Trump is saying about border security. The polls certainly reflect that.
By labeling the president a white supremacist, the left is trying to prevent you and anyone who shares his views on border security from being able to say it. They want to stop conservative candidates from discussing border security out of fear.
The left is trying to silence at a minimum half the country and perhaps even two-thirds of the country. And when I say silence, I mean silence.
Progressives in California are trying to prevent Donald Trump from appearing on the ballot. Cory Booker wants to shut down Trump rallies. The Castro brothers want to shut down donations to Trump by making business owners and ordinary citizens fear the loss of their jobs and businesses.
This is a very dangerous moment in the United States. The left is increasingly driven by intolerance, as the rise of Antifa demonstrates.
While all these things are going on, the left is going all out for a gun grab. Not surprisingly, average Americans are going in the opposite direction – gun sales are surging since the shootings, continuing a four-month trend.
By the way, if you doubt me on this, a new sick movie is coming out called, “The Hunt,” in which a group of liberal elites go hunting “deplorables” like they were deer and brutally murdering them.
A comparable movie showing conservatives as good guys hunting down progressives would never be made by Hollywood. But if it were, it would be cited as evidence of how Donald Trump was dividing the country, and no theater would dare show it.
Forget what the left-wing media says about the president and reflect for a moment on what the president has been saying. Consider this excerpt from Trump’s inaugural address:
“At the bedrock of our politics will be a total allegiance to the United States of America, and through our loyalty to our country, we will rediscover our loyalty to each other. When you open your heart to patriotism, there is no room for prejudice.
"The Bible tells us, ‘how good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity.’ We must speak our minds openly, debate our disagreements honestly, but always pursue solidarity. When America is united, America is totally unstoppable…
"It is time to remember that old wisdom our soldiers will never forget: that whether we are black or brown or white, we all bleed the same red blood of patriots, we all enjoy the same glorious freedoms, and we all salute the same great American Flag.
"And whether a child is born in the urban sprawl of Detroit or the windswept plains of Nebraska, they look up at the same night sky, they fill their heart with the same dreams, and they are infused with the breath of life by the same almighty Creator.”
Speaking to the Latino Coalition Legislative Summit, Trump said this:
“America First is about unity. It’s about coming together as one family – one big, beautiful American family – no matter our race, or color, or creed, to protect our jobs, our communities, and our country. We want all Americans to thrive and flourish together.”
Not long after he was inaugurated, President Trump met with the presidents of historically black colleges and universities. He committed more funding for these institutions than Obama did.
Over the objections of some conservatives, President Trump pushed criminal justice reform, which is providing second chances to many minorities convicted on drug charges. Many Obama supporters, like Van Jones, were at the White House celebrating that effort.
The left says Trump is a xenophobe. He’s married to an immigrant.
The left says Trump is anti-Semitic. His daughter, son-in-law and three of his grandchildren are Jewish.
Just stop the insanity!
