Tuesday, President Biden shamelessly tried to take credit for the big boost in Social Security benefits. The White House tweeted, “Seniors are getting the biggest increase in their Social Security checks in 10 years through President Biden’s leadership.”

That’s a lie. Social Security benefits are determined by a formula set in federal law. The president has nothing to do with it.

Twitter, now under new management, flagged the White House tweet, adding some important context — mainly that the cost of living adjustment is the result of record high inflation, which is busting the budgets of seniors on fixed incomes.

So, yesterday, the White House took down Biden’s lie and deleted the tweet.

But more disturbing than that, Joe Biden again lied about the circumstances of his son Beau’s tragic death. During a speech in Florida Tuesday, Biden said that Beau died in Iraq. He did not die in Iraq. He died at Walter Reed National Medical Center in Maryland from brain cancer.

Something is seriously wrong with the president. He either doesn’t know where his son died or he’s lying about it, which is beyond disgusting. Neither explanation is good.

Just one more reason why we must restore checks and balances to Washington this November!

Fighting Trans Supremacy

Tuesday night, I participated in a briefing sponsored by our friends at Summit Ministries and the National Religious Broadcasters. The main presenter was former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich. The subject was assessing public opinion on the emerging transgender epidemic that is sweeping America’s youth.

You know what’s happening. Powerful forces in the media, in academia, in the medical establishment and the Democrat Party are pushing an extreme agenda that can only be described as “trans supremacy.”

They have embraced the radical idea that powerful drugs and surgery can change biological reality. That’s a scientific lie.

The Biden Administration and congressional Democrats are pushing legislation and regulation that gives trans ideology supremacy over everything, including religious liberty.

If you have a religious objection to the bizarre idea that your biology can be “changed” or “fixed,” the left is going to smash you using the full power of government and social media censorship.

Sadly, many vulnerable children are buying into this mass insanity. And the permanent damage that is being done to them will make COVID look like a picnic.

Now, here’s the good news. While a significant portion of the population is confused and conflicted, those who have an opinion are overwhelmingly opposed to the trans supremacy agenda.

According to a recent survey by Summit Ministries, 75% of those who understand the issue say the transgender movement has gone too far in pushing sterilizing drugs and mutilating surgeries on children.

In fact, even some transgender activists now admit they have “gone too far.”

Other polls and surveys have found similar results.

A Rasmussen poll found that 75% of Americans believe there are only two genders, and 68% said that teachers should not be counseling students about gender identity without parental consent.

In spite of the left’s efforts to mock Florida’s Parental Rights in Education Act, which prohibited teachers from discussing issues of sexual orientation and gender identity with young children, polling found that the law was widely popular. Even a majority of Democrats supported the legislation!

This should encourage parents to be bold in defending their children.

This should encourage pastors to speak up and to speak the truth about gender, human sexuality and the difference between boys and girls.

And it should encourage conservative politicians at every level to not merely oppose this nonsense, but to aggressively and unapologetically fight it! There is no political risk in fighting the trans supremacy agenda.

Countdown To Victory?

There are just five days left until Election Day. There’s a lot of good news for Republicans. The trends seem to be in our favor. Former Libertarian Party presidential nominee Gary Johnson just endorsed Republican Mark Ronchetti in the New Mexico gubernatorial race.

But there’s a lot we don’t know. For starters, the polls are all over the place. Here’s one poll that doesn’t bode well for the Democrats: After nearly two years of Democrat dominance in Washington, nearly 80% of Americans feel like the country is “out of control.”

Meanwhile, we do know that many Democrats have already voted. With more than 20 million ballots already cast, Democrats have the lead in early voting. And we do know that historically many conservatives will wait until Election Day to cast their ballots.

But what if there is some event just before Election Day that scares people and they don’t show up? Nothing matters more than who turns out to vote.

The other thing that matters is who counts the votes. There has been some progress on that front in recent years. But the best solution is for conservatives to vote in such overwhelming numbers that cheating isn’t possible.

74 years ago, many newspapers ran headlines reading, “Dewey Defeats Truman.” Well, sometimes things don’t turn out as planned. Just ask “President Hillary Clinton.”

So, what could go wrong? Well…

• As we noted yesterday, Saudi Arabia is warning about imminent Iranian attacks in the Middle East.
• North Korea just fired 23 missiles.
• Russian officials reportedly have discussed the conditions for using nuclear weapons in Ukraine.
• And U.S. military personnel are now on the ground in Ukraine.

That’s a lot to digest. But what a coincidence that it’s all happening less than one week from the midterm elections.

Again, my friends, this is a very dangerous time. It is also a time to be praying for our country and praying for peace.

Cheney’s Gone

While Republicans prepare to return to power in Congress, one Republican who won’t be coming back is Rep. Liz Cheney. Her Trump Derangement Syndrome caused Cheney to lose her primary in spectacular fashion. And since her stunning defeat, it seems as though Cheney has gone over to the dark side.

In recent days, she heaped praise on Nancy Pelosi and publicly endorsed a number of far-left Democrats. And to think that Cheney was once on the fast track to becoming the GOP’s first female Speaker of the House!

Bibi’s Back

Israeli voters went to the polls Tuesday for their fifth election in four years. The result this time, amid high voter turnout among the most religious Israeli communities, was a decisive victory for Benjamin Netanyahu!

Preliminary reports indicate that the conservative/religious coalition will control a majority of 65 seats in the Knesset. The far-left Meretz Party may be totally locked out of the Knesset. As one astute follower of Israeli politics put it, “Imagine a Congress with no Squad members! That by itself is a victory for Israel.”

It’s worth noting that the chaos of Israeli democracy, often a messy business, stands in stark contrast to the dictatorship of the Palestinian Authority, where President Mahmoud Abbas hasn’t stood for reelection since 2005!
