Down to the Wire
If you have not yet done so, you must vote. Turnout wins elections.
More than 41 million Americans have already voted in the 2022 midterm elections. Of these mail-in and early voting in-person ballots, we know that Democrats have a significant advantage — 45% to 35%.
Those who haven’t already voted will head to the voting booths today. If you have not yet done so, you must vote.
Turnout wins elections. And the latest NBC News poll finds that the critical enthusiasm gap — which party has the most motivated voters — has evaporated. A month ago, Republicans had a nine-point lead. Today, the parties are tied.
I don’t know what has suddenly motivated Democrats. Were they really that excited to see Barack Obama and Bill Clinton back on the campaign trail? Maybe they’re just now tuning in.
Whatever the reason, it’s a disturbing sign. In an atmosphere like this, none of the critical Senate races should be close. The fact they are close, given how left-wing the Democrat candidates are (see next item), is a reminder of just how narrowly divided the country is.
We must fight those in the Church who say Christians shouldn’t be involved in politics. They are surrendering the country to those who hate everything we believe in!
If you haven’t voted yet, please VOTE TODAY!
Liberals vs. The Left
When I say the Democrat Party and its candidates have moved to the far left, that’s not hyperbole on my part. It’s a fact. Social science proves it. I have written on this topic before, noting that Bill Clinton could not win his party’s nomination today because he would be considered too conservative.
But don’t take my word for it. Many liberals have noticed, too.
Elon Musk, who is certainly no conservative, has earned the ire of the woke left because he believes in free speech. Earlier this year, he tweeted a cartoon showing that he hadn’t moved politically, but that the left had gone off the deep end.
Yesterday, Musk tweeted this:
“To independent-minded voters: Shared power curbs the worst excesses of both parties, therefore I recommend voting for a Republican Congress, given that the Presidency is Democratic.”
Over the weekend, liberal comedian Bill Maher complained about how “super crazy” the woke left has become. Maher said he’s having a hard time defending Biden as a “centrist” when he’s all in on the radical trans supremacy agenda.
Liberal columnist Andrew Sullivan writes that he’s voting Republican this year. Why? Because of the Democrats’ insane policies on crime. Sullivan adds, “I can’t be the only Biden and Clinton and Obama voter who’s feeling something like this, after the past two years.”
I have debated Andrew Sullivan most on gay rights issues in the past, and reading his critique of Biden is quite surprising. Here’s a brief excerpt:
“He [Biden] championed the entire far-left agenda: the biggest expansion in government since LBJ; a massive stimulus that … fueled durable inflation; … record rates of mass migration, and no end in sight; a policy of almost no legal restrictions on abortion (with public funding as well!); the replacement of biological sex with postmodern ‘genders’; the imposition of critical race theory in high schools and critical queer theory in kindergarten; … ‘equity’ hiring across the federal government; plans to regulate media ‘disinformation’; fast-track sex-changes for minors; … and on and on it went.”
Lastly, Third Way, a liberal think tank, warns that “Democrats have a damaged brand” because they are seen by voters as out-of-touch on priorities, values and ideology.
Who’s An Election Denier Now?
We’ve been told endlessly since 2020 that voting machines are totally secure. Anyone suggesting otherwise is an “election denier,” a “fascist,” a “Putin lover,” a “white supremacist” and an “insurrectionist” who is undermining our elections.
Got it? Is that clear?
Here’s left-wing Politico yesterday as polling points to a Democrat debacle today: “Yet there are real risks that hackers could tunnel into voting equipment and other election infrastructure to try to undermine Tuesday’s vote.”
What?!
Meanwhile, the New York Times published a lengthy story over the weekend entitled, “Russian Bots And Trolls Reactivated For Election.” The gist of the story is that Russian disinformation is once again targeting Democrats in the election.
They are laying the foundation to claim that if Democrats lose this election, it will be the fault of Russian meddling, just like 2016. Joe Biden has also suggested that the elections might be “illegitimate.”
Of course, no one is accusing the New York Times of “undermining our democracy.” It’s amazing how leftists can say anything they want about the elections, but conservatives are not allowed to ask any questions.
Demonizing Conservatives
Over the last few weeks, there has been non-stop demonization of everyone even slightly right of center. In its own way, this is a form of election denialism. Leftists are delegitimizing the electorate. They’re saying, “You’re voting for Nazis and fascists.”
One prominent historian said that if Republicans win this election, conservatives will kill your children. Ironically, that’s exactly what the left is doing — it’s called abortion. But I digress.
I don’t assume these leftists are lying or knowingly exaggerating. I assume they actually believe what they are saying — that we are Nazis and fascists.
So, if you really believe that, and your view of right and wrong is not informed by the Judeo-Christian worldview, what wouldn’t you do on Election Day or after Election Day to keep Nazis out of power?
A Democrat poll worker in Indiana was removed after it was discovered that he called conservative candidates “racists.” He also attempted to “assist” a confused voter by selecting “straight Democrat ticket” on their ballot. That was not what the voter wanted. But to many on the left, the ends justify the means.
The more the left says these outrageous things, the more likely it is that there will be violence against conservatives. That is Antifa’s justification for violence — they claim to be fighting fascists.
Predictably, Kari Lake’s headquarters was shut down over the weekend after it was sent some unknown substance. A staffer is on medical watch while it is analyzed.
In Michigan, an apparently “rabid” teacher bit a Republican official at a rally for Tudor Dixon.
In New York, a black woman who supports Republican Lee Zeldin was choked by a white Democrat.
Don’t forget that during the 2016 campaign, Democrats hired people to provoke violence at Trump rallies. They sent people in to cause fights, and the pro-Hillary corporate media dutifully wrote articles about how Trump supporters were violent.
Biden’s Policy Whiplash
Joe Biden’s insane policy agenda has been on full display in recent days. So much so, members of his own party are calling him out for it, and he’s giving voters whiplash in the process.
While stumping for Democrat candidates in California Friday afternoon, Biden declared, “We’re going to be shutting these [coal] plants down all across America and having wind and solar power.”
That’s insane. I’ve been warning for weeks now that we should be learning from Europe’s gamble on green energy. But Biden is doubling down on that bad bet.
West Virginia Democrat Senator Joe Manchin blasted Biden, saying:
“President Biden’s comments are not only outrageous and divorced from reality, they ignore the severe economic pain the American people are feeling because of rising energy costs. Comments like these are the reason the American people are losing trust in President Biden.”
The White House tried to suggest that Biden’s comments were being misconstrued. But on Sunday, Biden went even further. He told New York Democrats that he was cracking down on the oil and natural gas industry, too. “No more drilling,” Biden said. “There is no more drilling. I haven’t formed any new drilling.”
Does he not remember what he said just a couple of days ago?
On Wednesday, Biden told an audience in New Mexico that he wanted more oil drilling, saying, “We haven’t slowed them [oil companies] down at all, they should be drilling more than they’re doing now. If they were drilling more, we’d have more relief at the pump.”
Once again, Biden will say anything to maintain power. But he’s told us before that he intends to destroy the American energy industry. And we all know that his policies are driving up the cost of energy. The national average for a gallon of gas today is approximately $3.80, up a $1.40 since Biden took office.
Tuesday’s “To Do” List
Here’s the closing argument to any friends and neighbors who have not yet decided how they will vote.
First, when you get up today, go fill up your car with gas.
Second, go to the grocery store and buy this week’s food for your family.
Third, go vote.
If everyone does this, it will be a Red tsunami!
