Former President Donald Trump flew from his Mar-a-Lago home to New York City yesterday to prepare for his expected arraignment this afternoon. This is happening because Alvin Bragg, George Soros-funded prosecutor, vowed to “get Donald Trump.”

It’s worth remembering that Bragg constantly releases violent criminals back on to the streets. He works overtime to reduce serious felony charges to minor offenses. But somehow, his office has time and resources to “get Donald Trump.”

There are reports that the judge presiding over the case, another New York leftist, will impose a gag order against Trump, meaning he can’t publicly talk about any of this. It’s just another attempt to silence him.

Speaking of silencing people, radical leftists attacked CBS News for having the audacity to even talk to Rep. Marjorie Taylor Green. The left isn’t interested in having a debate. It wants conservative voices silenced!

Does any of this sound like America to you?

It sounds more like a Third World banana republic, communist China or Putin’s Russia — where political opponents are silenced and persecuted by corrupt officials.

What is being done to Donald Trump is a terrible precedent. Should local prosecutors and judges in deep red states like Florida and Tennessee go after Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden and Barack Obama to punish them for their liberal views?

In America, we don’t criminalize politics. But now that tradition, like so many others, has been shattered by the neo-Marxist left.

Enemies Of The State

Most polls indicate that Republican primary voters want Donald Trump to be renominated in 2024. I know some Republicans are turned off by his style and are looking for an alternative to all the “Trump drama,” perhaps someone like Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. Of course, the Never Trumpers can’t even tolerate DeSantis.

But I also know some people are hoping Trump will be brought down by this political persecution, that Alvin Bragg will “solve” their Trump problem for them. My response to this thinking is that they’re playing with fire.

We are entering a dangerous new stage, advancing all-out tyranny. When opponents of a left-wing administration are turned into “enemies of the state,” that’s the stuff of dystopian novels and dictatorships.

Any Republican who refuses to confront the left’s abuse of power, hoping this will take care of the “Trump problem,” seriously misunderstands the message being sent to everyday Americans, which is, “You’d better think twice about supporting conservatives or you may end up in jail!”

The neo-Marxist left has been on this path for a long time. It labeled parents as “domestic terrorists.” IRS agents showed up at the home of journalist Matt Taibbi the very day he testified before Congress about government censorship.

How often does the IRS make house calls? They had to know such a brazen move would make news. Of course, they did. And that was the whole point. They were sending a message.

And that is the point of everything that is being done to Donald Trump.

“Don’t you dare think that you can elect someone who will upset the progressive agenda of fundamentally transforming America into an open borders, globalist, secular nation. We will crush you! We will put your leaders in jail. Stay in your place if you know what’s good for you.”

We cannot give in to the intolerant, totalitarian left!

The Nashville Insurrection

Radical anti-Second Amendment leftists stormed the Tennessee legislature Thursday afternoon demanding so-called “gun control” laws, as if more laws will stop the criminals who don’t care about the laws we already have.

If the demonstrators had been parents concerned about grooming in the public schools, we all know what would have happened. The National Guard would have been called in to put down that “insurrection,” and the FBI would be investigating everyone within a five-mile radius of the Capitol building.

But when the left does it, it’s no big deal. Radical activists and Marxist agitators have regularly launched insurrections and occupied state legislatures, which are not supposed to be the scenes of mass demonstrations.

They did it in Wisconsin. They did it in Oklahoma. They did it in Kentucky. They did it in Florida. They did it in Texas.

Leftists even occupied a United States Senate office building. But that was totally fine. They were protesting Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation to the Supreme Court. And don’t forget that radical leftists also attacked the Supreme Court.

When leftists attack these cherished institutions of democracy, they are praised by Big Media for their “boldness” and “courage.” Progressive politicians praise their fascist tactics as “democracy in action.”

Just another example of the doubled standard of justice and how the equal protection of the law is routinely violated.

Hate Crimes Hypocrisy

Major media outlets and the Biden White House have done their best to ignore the most obvious conclusions from last week’s massacre at a Nashville Christian school. Neither the media nor the Biden White House want to use the word “Christian” in discussing the attack.

We’ve known for years that leftists will turn anything they can into a hate crime to advance their agenda. They will do it immediately and with no evidence at all.

When there was a shooting at a gay bar in Colorado Springs, it was immediately labeled a hate crime. Dr. James Dobson was vilified. Focus on the Family was smeared. And when the defendant appeared in court claiming to be “non-binary” and used non-male pronouns, the left was apoplectic.

The left will even manufacture issues when necessary. For example, the left constantly lectures us about the hate crimes being committed against transgender women of color. In fact, it’s so bad, we’re told it’s an “epidemic” and even a “genocide.” No, it’s not.

Here’s another example. NBC News treated us to an in-depth story about how Christians in Nashville are living in fear about what may happen next, given all the hateful rhetoric that is being aimed at them.

Oh, wait. That didn’t happen. That in-depth story was about how the trans community in Nashville is living in fear after a trans individual massacred children at a Christian school. The left is trying to turn the shooter into a martyr!

But when there are obvious hate crimes against churches, pregnancy resource centers and conservative politicians, leftists use every power they have to avoid labeling it a hate crime, and they attack anyone who suggests it may be.

For years, there was a major debate over federal hate crimes laws. Most conservatives argued that crime was a state issue, and the laws were unnecessary.

If someone assaults you, that’s a crime and should be prosecuted as such. But the left wanted to go even further and prosecute people for what they might have been thinking at the time.

When Republicans objected to these “thought crimes,” warning that they would be politically exploited, they were accused of supporting hate. But, the left eventually won that debate and, predictably, the left is now exploiting hate crimes laws.

Hutchinson Yes, Manchin Maybe

Former Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson announced Sunday that he will announce later this month that he’s running for president. Hutchinson (who is polling at less than 1%) started off by joining Democrats in attacking Donald Trump (who is polling above 50%) by saying that Trump should drop out.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Asa Hutchinson is the first GOP candidate to drop out of the race.

In related news, West Virginia Senator Joe Manchin (D) repeatedly dodged questions from Sunday talk show hosts about his political future. When pressed about running as a possible centrist, third-party candidate, Manchin seemed open to the idea and refused to rule it out.

That third party effort, which is getting some traction, has Democrats terrified and they are desperately trying to stop it.
