Last week, the Wall Street Journal published a shocking investigative report on how Instagram is enabling pedophilia and horrific crimes against children. Instagram is owned by Meta, which also owns Facebook and was founded by Mark Zuckerberg. The vast majority of Instagram users are under the age of 35.

Like all social media platforms and most online interactions these days, Instagram is heavily controlled by algorithms that determine a user’s interests and then direct related information and suggested content to them.

Working with the two teams of specialized Internet researchers from Stanford University and the University of Massachusetts Amherst, the Journal was able to quickly identify more than 400 Instagram accounts that sold child pornography. They were also able to determine that just a quarter of those accounts had more than 20,000 followers.

Meta knows it has a huge problem. A company spokesman admits to “taking down 490,000 accounts for violating its child safety policies in January alone.” [Emphasis added.]

This is an unbelievable story involving a major company, owned by one the wealthiest individuals in America, that is providing an umbrella on social media to those engaged in the worst perversions. And yet here we are just days later, and it’s like it never happened.

Mark Zuckerberg should be in front of a congressional hearing today! The Justice Department and the FBI should be all over this national scandal. Instead, they’re busy indicting Trump and hunting down January 6th protesters and pro-life activists.

Throughout our history, as Tucker Carlson noted, abusing children was the worst thing imaginable. Even in prison, child molesters are the most likely to be the victims of “prison justice.” Jeffrey Dahmer, who murdered at least three boys under 18, was killed in jail.

Meanwhile, the Wall Street Journal report comes at the very same time that prominent people are insisting that young children be exposed to drag queen shows so that men can do suggestive dances in front of them.

This investigative report was printed at exactly the same time when major corporations, sports teams and even the president of the United States are demanding that children, who can barely tie their shoes, be indoctrinated by adults to believe there are “no norms” when it comes to complicated subjects like sex and gender.

But, of course, the real problem confronting America is Donald Trump and some classified documents at Mar-a-Lago or that some parents went to school board meeting and raised their voices.

America Responds

It’s worth remembering that Joe Biden took office on the promise of restoring norms and uniting the country. But his administration and his political allies at the state level are smashing every norm imaginable — whether it’s redefining what a woman is, pushing radical ideologies on our kids or prosecuting former presidents for the first time in our nearly 250-year history.

Once again, the left is plunging America into uncharted waters.

Here are some reactions to the news of Trump’s indictment.

Speaker Kevin McCarthy: “Today is indeed a dark day for the United States of America. It is unconscionable for a president to indict the leading candidate opposing him. Joe Biden kept classified documents for decades. I, and every American who believes in the rule of law, stand with President Trump against this grave injustice. House Republicans will hold this brazen weaponization of power accountable.”

Former Vice President Mike Pence: “I’m deeply troubled to see this, to see this indictment move forward… I think this is going to be terribly divisive for the country. I also think it sends a terrible message to the wider world.”

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis: “The weaponization of federal law enforcement represents a mortal threat to a free society. We have for years witnessed an uneven application of the law depending upon political affiliation. Why so zealous in pursuing Trump yet so passive about Hillary or Hunter?”

Sen. Ted Cruz: “Today is an assault on democracy. This indictment is garbage. This is a political attack. It is a political attack from a thoroughly corrupted and weaponized Department of Justice. And it’s a sad day for America.”

Professor Alan Dershowitz: “This ‘momentous’ political case threatens to be a momentous challenge to our system of impartial justice.”

Elon Musk: “There does seem to be far higher interest in pursuing Trump compared to other people in politics. Very important that the justice system rebut what appears to be differential enforcement or they will lose public trust.”

Musk is right. Polling clearly suggests that the public has lost faith in the FBI. For example, 60% of voters believe that the FBI is covering for the Biden family and 63% of Americans want either serious reforms of the FBI or they want it shut down and entirely rebuilt.

Left-wing Lunacy

• The neo-Marxist left continues to aggressively push critical race theory (CRT) and anti-Americanism in our schools. Anyone who says CRT isn’t taught in our public schools (that would be most Democrat politicians and the media) is lying to you.
• If you needed another reason to boycott Target, the retail giant is funding an extremist group that claims Mt. Rushmore is a symbol of “white supremacy.”
• The Girl Scouts are offering “Pride Celebration” patches to “girls of all identities” for participating in various LGBTQ+ events, including Pride parades. Just more evidence of the left pushing its radical agenda on kids.
• A University of Cincinnati professor failed a student for using the “exclusionary” term “biological woman” in a project.
  
• Portland, Oregon, a cesspool of crime, is providing twice as much funding to marijuana initiatives than it is to hiring new police officers.

Good News

• Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds signed legislation protecting young children in elementary schools from inappropriate indoctrination on issues involving sexual orientation and gender identity. The legislation also prevents schools from hiding a child’s “gender transition” and bans the use of “preferred pronouns” without parental consent.
• Missouri Gov. Mike Parson signed legislation protecting children from mutilating transgender surgeries.
  
• Texas Gov. Greg Abbott signed legislation protecting children from mutilating transgender surgeries.
  
• A Vermont school will pay $125,000 to a middle school soccer coach and his daughter who were punished for speaking out against the school’s transgender policies.
• Planned Parenthood announced major layoffs as a result of new state pro-life laws.
• Target’s stock is plummeting and “Pride” merchandise is being massively marked down as the American people aren’t buying what the woke left is selling, and in more ways than one.
