BIDEN: AN "ELDERLY MAN WITH A POOR MEMORY"

EVEN DEMOCRATS ADMIT BIDEN HAS A PROBLEM

  • According to The Washington Post, Democrats are having a "hair on fire" moment as worries grow over Biden's age and memory lapses.
    <ul>
    <li>Top Democrat strategist David Axelrod <a href="https://thehill.com/homenews/senate/4463836-senate-democrats-biden-age/">claims</a> the special counsel's report "goes to the core of what is plaguing Biden politically now, which is a widespread fear that he's not up to it."</li>
    <li>Paul Begala, a Biden supporter and former advisor to President Clinton, called the special counsel's report "<a href="https://www.politico.com/news/2024/02/09/biden-hur-report-democrats-00140715">terrible for Democrats</a>" and explained that "anybody with a functioning brain knows that."</li>
    <li>Democrat consultant James Carville believes that Democrats are "<a href="https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/4459567-the-memo-democratic-panic-deepens-after-dismal-moment-for-biden/">officially in Hail Mary mode</a>," hoping that a "criminal conviction for Trump" will shift the election in Biden's favor.</li>
    <li>Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is calling Biden's age a "<a href="https://thehill.com/homenews/senate/4463836-senate-democrats-biden-age/">legitimate issue</a>."</li>
    <li>Progressive strategist Jonathan Tasini <a href="https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/4459567-the-memo-democratic-panic-deepens-after-dismal-moment-for-biden/">admits</a>, "whether Democrats like it or not" Biden's age has become "an issue."</li>
    </ul>
    </li>
    <li>According to Representative Adam Smith (D-WA), Biden "<a href="https://twitter.com/RNCResearch/status/1755982888179306690">does not have the normal strength to go out there and campaign</a>."</li>
    <li>Many Democrats on Capitol Hill and close to the White House are speaking to reporters anonymously to express their concern.
    <ul>
    <li>On background, one House Democrat told Axios that they believed Biden's verbal slip-ups have been "<a href="https://www.axios.com/2024/02/09/biden-defends-memory-2024-election">awful</a>."</li>
    <li>According to one anonymous Democrat operative, the special counsel's report on Biden was "<a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2024/02/09/biden-memory-age-hur-documents/">worse</a>" than they ever thought it could be.</li>
    <li>Another former White House official simply called the news of the special counsel's report "<a href="https://www.axios.com/2024/02/09/biden-defends-memory-2024-election">brutal</a>."</li>
    <li>A Democrat strategist and former staffer to President Obama <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2024/02/09/biden-memory-age-hur-documents/">claims</a>, "there is a massive wave of deflation right now, but there's no alternative [to Biden]."</li>
    <li>According to another Democrat strategist, the party is in a "<a href="https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/4459567-the-memo-democratic-panic-deepens-after-dismal-moment-for-biden/">DefCon One situation</a>."</li>

BIDEN'S NOT PLAYING WITH A FULL DECK

  • At 81 years, Biden is the oldest serving president in U.S. history.
    <ul>
    <li>If elected in 2024, Biden would be <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2023/11/20/politics/joe-biden-birthday-81/index.html#:~:text=If%20elected%20in%202024%2C%20Biden,on%20Biden's%20age%20than%20Trump's.">86 years old</a> at the end of his second term.</li>
    </ul>
    </li>
    <li>Biden's close advisors <a href="https://www.axios.com/2023/04/28/inside-biden-run-against-age-white-house">admit</a> that his energy has diminished, significantly limiting his schedule.
    <ul>
    <li>White House aides say that "<a href="https://www.axios.com/2023/04/28/inside-biden-run-against-age-white-house">it's difficult to schedule public or private events with the president in the morning, in the evening, or on weekends</a>."</li>
    </ul>
    </li>
    <li>Democrats in Congress admit Biden "<a href="https://twitter.com/RNCResearch/status/1755982888179306690">does not have the normal strength to go out there and campaign</a>."</li>
    <li>The White House has made several adjustments to compensate for Biden's diminished faculties, including <a href="https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/joe-biden/joe-biden-age-re-election-short-stairs-air-force-one-rcna95355">extra-large font on his teleprompter</a> and <a href="https://twitter.com/RNCResearch/status/1725520815226060842">note cards</a> to <a href="https://twitter.com/RNCResearch/status/1678805702330941451">direct him</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/RNCResearch/status/1659584146962890754">what to say</a> and <a href="https://twitter.com/RNCResearch/status/1724962732854702178">who to call on</a>.
    <ul>
    <li>Biden has <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/media/biden-insiders-want-him-walk-shorter-distances-camera-wear-shoes-reduce-falling-risk-report">ditched wearing dress shoes</a> to <a href="https://katv.com/news/nation-world/biden-wears-tennis-shoes-as-admin-is-terrified-president-could-trip-again-report">reduce</a> the risk of <a href="https://twitter.com/jacobkschneider/status/1664343681321541636">falls</a> and has been <a href="https://www.politico.com/news/2023/11/19/biden-biggest-vulnerability-00127937">urged to walk shorter distances</a> while on camera.</li>
    <li>Biden now uses the <a href="https://twitter.com/RNCResearch/status/1724549329812095089">short stairs</a> to <a href="https://twitter.com/RNCResearch/status/1714662168690388997">board</a> and exit Air Force One in order to <a href="https://twitter.com/RNCResearch/status/1706712803346641089">avoid tripping</a>.</li>

BIDEN OFTEN GETS CONFUSED

AMERICANS DON'T HAVE CONFIDENCE IN BIDEN

  • Americans agree: Joe Biden's cognitive health is a major concern going into the 2024 elections.
  • 86 percent of Americans, including 73 percent of Democrats, now say Biden is too old to serve as president, according to an ABC News/Ipsos poll.
    • Previously, 77 percent of Americans, including 69 percent of Democrats, said in August 2023 Biden is too old to be effective for four more years, according to an AP-NORC poll.
  • 76 percent of voters, including half of Democrats, say they're concerned about Biden's mental and physical fitness for a second term, according to a poll by NBC News.
    • A poll by Monmouth University had similar findings – 76 percent of voters, including 56 percent of Democrats, said Biden is too old to effectively serve another term.
  • Just 32 percent of Americans think Biden has "mental sharpness" for a second term, according to a Washington Post-ABC News poll.
  • For independent voters such as Bernadette Wright, there are serious concerns about Biden's mental capability: "We're not talking about age here, we're talking about aptitude. We're talking about his ability to perform."
