- During his first year in office, Biden completely failed to acknowledge the 77th anniversary of D-Day.
- The next year, Biden nearly missed the anniversary again and only acknowledged the 78th anniversary of D-Day at 8:45 PM, after reporters noted Biden had yet to acknowledge it.
