Jail Time for Rowling and Musk?
The author and the entrepreneur are champions of free speech and common sense, but it could cost them their freedom.
Elon Musk and J.K. Rowling might seem to have little in common, but they are both being targeted in a lawsuit for claiming that men and women are different and that men should not be allowed to punch women in the face, particularly for sport or entertainment.
Of the many controversies spurred by the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, the tumult involving the sexual identity of Algerian boxer Imane Khelif will not be ending with the close of the event.
The dispute began when Italian boxer Angela Carini withdrew from the first round of her bout with Khelif after just 46 seconds in the ring, claiming she had never been punched so hard. Khelif was declared the winner of that match — and every match thereafter, all of them against female boxers from various countries who had come to compete for a gold medal.
Immediately following the defeat, author J.K. Rowling took to her X feed to post a photo of Khelif trying to console Carini for her loss, while issuing one of several scathing statements that would later have Rowling named in a lawsuit alleging bullying and harassment.
“Could any picture sum up our new men’s rights movement better?” Rowling asked. “The smirk of a male who knows he’s protected by a misogynist sporting establishment enjoying the distress of a woman he’s just punched in the head, and whose life’s ambition he’s just shattered.”

Questions about Khelif’s identity arose early in the Games. However, the challenge was not based on the delusion of transgenderism, which has facilitated the invasion of men into women’s athletics.
A surprising twist in the story came when it was discovered that the International Boxing Association had banned Khelif from the World Championships in 2022 after a gender test confirmed both the testosterone levels and the chromosomes of a male.
It’s been heavily speculated that Khelif and others have a rare intersex condition that may have given medical professionals the idea that, as infants, they are biologically female. Yet their true biology would likely have become far more obvious with time, growth, and puberty, making it more difficult to deny the physical realities of build, strength, testosterone, and physiological male advantages.
The International Olympic Committee has repeatedly dismissed the International Boxing Association’s findings, countering its test results with the supposed superior metric of simply going by the sex listed on an athlete’s passport.
The debate over the true identity of Khelif continued throughout the rest of the Games. After winning the gold medal against China’s Yang Liu, Khelif attorney Nabil Boudi announced that the boxer would be pursuing legal action against several deep-pocketed people — including Musk, Rowling, and Donald Trump — claiming “acts of aggravated cyber harassment” and revealing the potential penalties for their crimes.
According to The Daily Wire, “If the boxer wins, Musk and Rowling could face anywhere from two to five years behind bars, because in France, the punishment for ‘cyber bullying’ is jail time and fines.”
While it’s unclear how far the suit will go, its likely impact will be further intimidation into compliance. Challenging the depraved ideas of the Left is thus becoming increasingly more difficult — and not for the faint of heart.
