Leftists Scare the Life Out of the Gender-Confused
The Leftmedia warn that a Trump victory will take away “transgender” “rights.”
How has the legacy media handled the Left’s election loss on November 5? By immediately targeting a malleable identity group and twisting the screws of fear.
Both the Associated Press and MSNBC published articles after the election that begin by mentioning an exponential increase in crisis-hotline calls at The Trevor Project and the Rainbow Youth Project. Apparently, gender-confused individuals are worried because President-elect Donald Trump campaigned against men in women’s sports and against transing the kids. The ad campaign slogan “Kamala is for they/them; President Trump is for you” was particularly triggering.
Both articles then go on to detail the stories of the many teens and young adults who are in distress because they believe their rights are going to be taken away. One example from the AP relays the feelings of anguish from a trans-identifying college student who had the following experience on his Texas State University campus: “Already, tensions have risen on his campus in a way that makes him [sic] feel unsafe. The day after the election, two protestors held up signs that said, ‘Homo sex is sin’ and ‘Women are property.’”
This story reeks of a leftist fever dream. However, for the sake of argument, let’s suppose that it’s true — how are signs making anyone “unsafe”? Goons who hold inflammatory signs can easily be dismissed. In fact, it’s something that a mentally healthy person would just ignore.
MSNBC details another story of a gender-confused high schooler who saw the Trump ads as “hatred.” Notice the choice of words. Trump was advocating for the protection of children and women, but that’s “hatred”? Transgender apologists often conflate disagreement with hatred. They believe something that’s not true, yet anyone trying to disabuse them of the notion that they are the opposite of their biological sex is a “hater” and a “bigot.”
What exactly are the “rights” they are so terrified of losing? That they have to use the correct sex-segregated bathroom at school? That they have to play on the correct sex-segregated team? As in the way it has always been?
The Biden administration wrongly changed Title IX protections to include gender identity. It’s wrong because it forces young girls to have to share locker rooms with gender-confused boys, putting the former in physical danger, particularly in sports.
In fact, a young girl, Payton McNabb, now suffers permanent brain damage after she received a volleyball spike to the head from the opposing team’s “transgender” (read: male) player.
The final argument from both the AP and MSNBC in favor of bowing to the will of the gender-confused and their activist backers is that this community is at high risk of suicide. They argue that the cause of suicidality is that people aren’t accepting of their chosen identities. Nonsense. On the contrary, “gender affirmation” is what’s contributing to the higher risk of suicide. Deep down, these individuals know that they can never be the opposite of their biological sex. A boy cannot be a girl, and a girl cannot be a boy, no matter how many hormone therapies and surgeries one undergoes.
It’s an abusive tactic. Shame on the Leftmedia for preying on gender-confused people’s fears. They are stoking the flames of an already suffering group of people who have to navigate through the compounded disservice from those who have caved to and nurtured their delusions.
