We Knew Some Unforced Errors Would Follow
Unfortunately, the Leftmedia will inflate Trump’s errors by a magnitude of infinity.
The return of Donald Trump to the White House is a welcome reprieve from four years of quasi-despotism under the doddering puppet of the extreme left, Joe Biden, whom they heralded as the “most qualified” man to ever claim the title of president. He’s gone now, and so is his protégé, Kamala Harris.
Thank God.
But we need not pretend that Donald Trump’s return is analogous to God opening up the Heavens and Jesus descending for the final Reckoning.
We have known that Trump was a flawed leader from the moment he stepped on the scene. Remember the baggage he brought into his first term, like his “grab her by the…” comment and the hush money he paid an “adult film” star to keep their affair quiet? Let’s be real: No matter what Trump’s defense said in court, that probably happened. We can’t pretend his flawed character issues aren’t part of the whole package — that is the man we elected to be president.
Yet, this is also the man who implemented some of the most successful domestic and foreign policies since Ronald Reagan. He enacted a consumer-friendly tax policy, cut regulations, supported our warriors, and gave a voice to the “deplorables” who have for so long been ignored by the Washington elite. He aggressively took action to restore border security. He kept a lid on the Taliban (before Biden’s disastrous exfil from Afghanistan). He kept Vladimir Putin on his side of the border. He kept Israel’s terrorist foes in their rat holes.
In his second term, he is off to a much more aggressive start, endeavoring to fix the mess Biden and Harris left behind. Some of that mess, particularly the open border and the economic and foreign policy damage they did, will take years to fix.
The fact is, 95% of the things Trump has done and will do in office are fantastic and put America first, while 5% of what he has done and will do is just going to come across as distractingly stupid — things that draw attention away from his administrative successes.
Removing DEI, reinforcing the border, curb-stomping the socialist regime in Colombia, removing corrupt inspectors general — these are all in the good category that we can expect from his presidency. But nominating Matt Gaetz, letting violent J6 offenders walk, renaming Denali to Mt. McKinley when nobody in Alaska asked, and surrounding himself with other egotistical billionaires?
We’ve known for a long time who and what Donald Trump is and elected him, knowing we would have to take the good with the bad because the two are inseparable.
Is it a good thing that he’s back in office? Of course! Will his administration fix all of our problems and magically restore America to all her glory? No. He has very real, tangible limits on the good that he can do. But he is certainly rallying pride in our country again.
The next time you read a headline about something dumb Trump has said or done, remember — that’s just the 5%, despite the fact the Leftmedia will inflate it as if unforced errors are all Trump does.
Trust all the good that Trump and his administration are doing to help set America on the right path. Trust, and then, as President Reagan would insist, verify — and hope that if the unforced errors are kept at a minimum, the 2026 midterm and 2028 election will affirm that path.
